Perched quite powerfully on the red cliffside and carefully constructed to be stable is a quaint little shop run by a Clan of Draconics. The shop itself is more similar to constructions found in the Labs City than not, with a quaint little shopfront that appears to be made of carefully slotted red boulders and knit-together logs. There are two front doors fitted within one another; one distinctly the size that would be acceptable for a humanoid, and the larger one much more suitable for draconic patronage and capable of being opened with draconic claws. Above the door is a simple Insignia, of draconic wings inside of a book. There are no words on the sign, but a small plaque fastened to the wall proclaims in a few languages that this shop is known as 'Words on the Wing'. Once inside, the strong scent of real apple and cinnamon pie can be picked up immediately; undoubtedly from candles that are hidden somewhere. The first floor of the establishment is a simple sitting room with a thick-pile carpet in the middle with the Logo of the shop printed on it; black and orange-gold over a maroon field. The floor itself is thickly polished wood that seems surprisingly unscathed by claws. To the Left is a single long bookshelf with many different shelves all piled with books from all over. There are three tables with lovely displays of the newest stories offered by the shop, with beautiful draconic and treasure-chest shaped granite book-ends holding up the books. Each table has a maroon and golden-orange runner beneath the books to complete the setup. On the Right is a fairly large counter, upon which a few baked goods are displayed. The shop sells homemade molasses-cured jerky made of varying wild meats, along with various beverages. This small shop is manned by the ever-clever Miranda most days, and other days it is manned by her more restless daughter, Mimosa. People that wish to eat refreshments are ushered to a fine seating area outside on the cliffside, with cast-iron seating in the form of (cushioned) chairs and bolted-to-the-cliff tables and a few large cushioned seats for Draconics. This area has a lovely view, since it is on an outcropping, and somehow manages to be a very quiet place to sit. A small maroon and golden-detailed metal awning will stretch out over the seating area whenever it rains. In the back of the shop are two grand staircases covered in maroon carpet, that lead up to the second story above. Between the two staircases is a grand counter that is quite sparse; a simple register made of cast iron in the middle atop a maroon runner with golden trellis. On either end of the grand counter are stacks of books with matching granite book-ends holding them up. Behind the counter, the Clan Patriarch (Mintaka) can sometimes be found manning the shop. More typically one of his descendants mans the main counter, typically the ever clever Citrouille or the art-leaning Lumiere- both versed on where to find certain types of books. The second floor of the shop has the more difficult to read books in bookcases on two of the walls, ready to be perused for purchase. The room is thickly carpeted in maroon, and towards the back is a great seating area with comfortable plush round seats that are perfect for Draconics and Humanoids alike to sit. The final service of the shop is a personal sitting with Mintaka, who specializes in translating between Draconic and Common to write the stories of other's lives down for all to read. Anyone who wishes to can come to the shop to tell a story about something they heard or experienced, and have Mintaka write the story down first in Draconic, and then in Common. Sometimes this takes multiple seatings for one story, and then several months to a year for Mintaka to complete the work.
