Ok, so the tittle says most of it actually on what my question is going on about, but to get into the detail of it.
I found out a few weeks ago that Refined Senses became a restricted ability, and since I have a few creatures with that ability, I am already passed my ability to ask with a new creature to have a restricted move/ability for my customs, so what I am hoping to find out;
If I use a Transformation Brew/Mutagenic Brew on a custom pet with a restricted ability/move to have it become a new custom, can the restricted ability/move pass over to that creature even when already being past the limit? The number of the restricted abilities/moves would still stay the same after all, it will just be placed into a new body.
I did see it happen with Noa’s Felusine that it got transferred over to a Faeron with Telepathy, but they weren’t passed the limit already.
So I don’t know if this would be an automatic no or yes, and I rather find out now, than spend a 100$ on a design I still need to finish in more detail, and find out it isn’t possible at all to use this method to get the restricted ability Refined Senses from one of my other custom creatures when I try to do this method.
I hope any of the staff that deals with this would be willing to answer my question about it, as I have 73 customs, and have 12 restricted abilities/moves as of now. X3
(I think getting to 130 customs will take a long while if I take that road, as I don’t see myself getting rid off some.)

Hello Twilight!
We don't see any problems with what you've proposed, seeing as you're not getting a "new" custom so much as switching from one to the other. However, you might want to reconsider WHY you're getting a custom. As it stands, the site is in a state of constant flux and updates, especially as the staff steadily replace old holdovers from the Spirit days to make room for newer, more balanced, and (hopefully, we're trying!) more fun systems. There can be a lot of trial and error associated with that though, and as you've found out that means that moves and abilities and the effects that they have can change.
As a result, while we obviously can't command people to enjoy the site a particular way (that would be... insane.) we would advise that if you want to buy a custom, buy it because you like it for its particular design, aesthetic, and role in your character's story, not because you're trying to reach a metagaming goal. Getting a pet with really nice stats is fun and can be a goal in and of itself, of course, but you should make sure there's reasons you want it other than checking off boxes to get the beefiest battle pet. We're planning on adjusting the 10% rule in the future, so don't necessarily plan your customs around it. Plan them because you want them, not because you're trying to meet a quota!

I appreciate your second paragraph there. :)
I’d like to note that for some of us, those extra statistics are more for personal plot enjoyment and not so much pvp. I’d really hope that if the rules change to make it harder to get some of those 10% moves, that there be some sort of distinction that allows for plot use while separating pvp nerfing. <3 Even if there is a system where it’s marked in a pets stats with those (that may be considered extra-extra, and not just all of them) that they arenmt useable in the pit or something. Even if it has to be magically banned there to cover the ‘logic’ factor or why it doesn’t work. At the present, as far as I know, there are already moves and spells that wouldn’t work for obvious reasons.
I personally am not big on pvp. I like the epic pets for their lore and potential ‘beyond-esque’ type of potential - even if that had to just be in plots posts if that never becomes a thing. 🧘🏻

Thank you for that answer Fiera! :D And I did hear about that, that your working on changing things up, or adding new abilities to the system, I think Darky mentioned it somewhere too, but not too certain where that was again. Still, would the things that are planned to change with them be severe enough that it would completely change the potential that they had within a roleplay? Such as for example, Shadow Meld, it was confirmed a pet could rest/hangout in the owners shadow and be with them like that. In a roleplay it would be like an permanent guardian that you could call upon to help you in your time of need (with maybe the potential of scaring people if they possible see a huge eye blinking at them now and then at awful timings) without needing to use Collar of Bonding and have them at a potential risk of being fused with obstacles when your in close quarters or can't get away from said obstacles fast enough without (your character) getting hurt. As for wanting the beefiest battle companion, well, I can't deny that I do tend to pick abilities/moves while keeping in mind on having them survive a fight (especially potential familiars as I'd be too paranoid with them losing in a fight, yet also want them to just, be right in the thick of it with them as well), whether that is with customs, or following along a breeding lineage to reach that end goal (and gain the satisfaction of having reached said goal because of the months and years that went in it), but I also do tend to pick things out that also would be helpful in roleplays and just give it more reason to want to have them as a companion. One such a example of moves would be be whenever possible and I really see the potential of roleplays with them, opt for Telekinesis for all the potential it has outside of an battle and not for the battle potential it might have (if any), its one of my favorite moves because it has so many varied uses it could have to the roleplay itself.
