Now THIS was a contest that Fiera had prepared for well. She had spent weeks training Orpheus to hone his powers, and to... you know... teach him how to fly. She had admittedly left it a little long before teaching her alurook how to fly, but he was just as caught up as anyone else here now. Besides, he was a beautiful creature, and with her at his side, she was sure he would wow the judges. Looks weren't everything, but he did have them in spades, with his beautiful charcoal feathers and bright red eyes complimented by the red and yellow feather dye she had bought just a couple days earlier. It looked like she had managed to come early too- there wasn't anyone here yet as far as she could tell. She approached the desk, already having all his paperwork ready. "Well hello there. I'm here to enter my alurook for the Flying Contest."

It had been quite a long time since Renathan had tried to enter a contest. He couldn't quite remember the last time that he did, in fact. However, he'd heard that there was a new little contest going on, and that it had to do with pets that could fly. That sounded like something that Auburn could do, and since she was his best trained critter he figured that it would be an excellent start into trying to get back into contests. Renathan stops by to register his beloved izer as soon as he could, one day, after work. Auburn rides on his shoulder and makes soft little pleased noises as he pets her periodically. She most certainly recognizes the registrar, and makes a pleased little trilling noise as they enter. "You sure are excited, huh, Auburn?" He smiles up at her beneath his mask- and he knows that she catches it despite not being able to see it.
The russet mammalian walks right up to the desk, and smiles. "I'm here to register my Izer, Auburn, for the Flying critter contest?" He half declares and half asks, rubbing the back of his neck with one of his leathery palms. He felt a little bit anxious, for some reason- but Auburn made him feel much more calm.

Jade, Offspring Mosca Level: 9 | Loyalty: 9 Stamina: 4 Strength: 2 Resistance: 3 Dexterity: 7 Mentality: 4 Special Abilities: Danger Sense, Fly, Empathetic Link, Nightvision Moves: Nether Claw, Stalk, Tornado, Silence, Shadow Meld Taught: Fly (3), Silence (4) While Silver knew many creatures who could fly, it was difficult to think of one which would be best suited to a performance. There was always Sylvie, Kumoya, and even Quin, of course, but they had all had their chance to shine in the contest hall already. Silver thought long and hard about their choices before finally settling on a Mosca named Jade. Jade was a bit shy, as all Mosca were, but he had some wind powers Silver thought might impress the crowd. They quickly taught him how to utilize his abilities on command, and led him over to the registration office. "Ah, hello, um," Silver paused for a moment. For all of the contests they had entered, they still felt a little weird every time they had to register. "My name is Silver, and, ah, this is Jade, my Mosca, and... ah, we're entering the Flying Contest." There, that wasn't so hard, was it? Silver glanced back at Jade, who yawned visibly, clearly not interested in the conversation the people were having about him.

Ashe was not a fan of the colder months! He longed for the hot sun to be beating down on him, where he wouldn't wince whenever he felt the wind on his face. And so, he hadn't been too active lately, preferring instead to stay on his property, normally with some large creatures of his that generated enough body heat for the both of them. But he had ventured out for this contest, hearing it was a flying based one... And he really did love to fly on Fafnir. They'd been practicing some tricks and what better way to show them off than here? Ashe landed in the city and slid off of the drake's back before leading them both to the contest hall, and ultimately to the sign up desk. He wrote the necessary information on the paper, feeling a sense of nostalgia wash over him. It had been too long! He needed to get out more for sure. "Entering my buddy, Fafnir, here..." He murmured, then flashed a charming smile.

So this was not quite the tournament she'd promised Vidarr. Hopes that he wouldn't notice were dashed in short order - his bellyaching started before they even breached the Contest Hall's doors. Dumb as he was, it was likely a bit of a dead giveaway that the building hadn't stunk of blood. Lethalia patted the top of his nose, informing him "Know it's not fightin', but s'gonna be fun!"|No dog,| the drake complained again, snatching away his foot before getting too close to a passing houluh. Leth sighed and wondered if he felt intimidated by them in his own odd way; he was so adamant every time the canines were brought up. Once she'd wheedled him inside, the giant drake stood out sorely among the more proper show animals. Leth reached for Vidarr's head, guiding him with a ginger hand beneath the chin to keep him out of trouble best she was capable. They were going to figure this out - it was a flying competition, gods' sake! Leth had yet to puzzle out just what made up a decent show for the hall. Tougher crowd than the pit. But if she couldn't figure this out with Vidarr, she'd eat her own gods-damned boots. A fairly safe bet to make, considering she didn't own any shoes. "Hullo! Hopin' t'enter Vidarr here, if that flyin' competition's still on," Lethalia requested as she walked up to the registrar, wondering what impression the pouting drake's head resting upon her shoulder made. As long as he didn't do something so embarrassing during their show.
