Fiera was on her way to the breeding center, with the late winter winds ruining her carefully styled hair. That was just her luck, wasn't it. Her first pachee breeding in months and she would show up to it looking absolutely terrible. At least it wasn't raining, though the sky did seem to be threatening it. At least she was nearly there... and Monsoon, true to her name, didn't seem to mind the weather either. The pachee scrabbled her way from one side to the other of the carrier that Fiera held under one arm, loudly sniffing the air as she did so. She found it invigorating in a way, flaring her tail leaves wide as she tried to get as much of it as possible. Fiera hoped that she would be able to have that same enthusiasm for the male she was going to be put together with, or else it would be a slow day.

Jack seemed a little anxious, at least that's what she was going to explain it away as. True to form, she had hermited herself away in the Kennel during the depths of winter and had barely done anything that needed doing. It had started earlier than usual though, and it was ending a little later than she was used to, something seemed to have hit her hard and she wasn't sure if it was quite over or not. Forcing herself out there again though, she had contacted a few people with vague offers and, luckily or unluckily, Fiera had taken her up on it. Swallowing hard, the woman looked down at Plum and shook her head as she pushed through the winds with him in her arms, fighting as best as she could, though she felt like her feet got heavier and heavier the further she went from the Kennel. This was hard, but she had to make it, and with the Center in sight, she figured it was doing well enough.

Fiera wouldn't have known about Jack's recent seasonal reclusiveness, but if anyone was prone to painfully extracting people from their shells, it was her. The moment Jack put any of her breedable creatures up, she was quick to jump upon the offer, especially honing in on this particularly attractive purple male. Who knew- perhaps she could get a few more winged pachee in her kennel like this. After a few more minutes of walking she was in front of the breeding center, though Jack was still nowhere to be seen. A few potential snarky comments about being late danced through her head as she stood outside of the breeding center, waiting for Jack to pop up. It wasn't too cold today though, so she couldn't really whine about that- and before she could even say it got past "fashionably late", a familiar face rounded the corner from the other direction.

Ah, right, she was already there, it was too late to turn back. She would never hear the end of it if she stopped, turned around, and walked back home after seeing her. Jack chewed on her lip and forced herself to keep going, a little smile on her face, strained, but somewhat hopeful at the same time. "Hey there, sorry I'm late..." she trailed off, glancing down at the carrier her friend had with her. To each their own, Fiera liked the carriers, Jack liked for them to walk on their own if they could. It was a little too cold on the pavement for Plum's paws right now though, which is why she carried him at the moment. "It's been awhile, ah, should we go in?" she asked, motioning slowly toward the door of the Breeding Center. It was a little strange, she hadn't been in there for a long time it seemed...

Fiera was pretty sure that if Jack were ever to just turn around and leave after seeing her... a murder would likely occur. So no, that was no longer an option for Jack, no matter how much she wanted to run away home. (Though getting murder may well have freed her from any other social obligations she had.) Either way, Fiera checked her nails, as if to show complete nonchalance. "Whatever. Just try not to do it again." She said. A slight smile crossed her face as Jack kept talking, however. "Yes, lets! I haven't done a breeding in a few months now- I'm sure they've changed out all the posters on the walls by this point. They always seem to have some special event or another going on in there." Fiera said, approaching the double doors. She pushed them open effortlessly, but kept one open for Jack to follow her.

Shaking her head a little, still not up to a chuckle though it would have warranted one quite some time ago, the woman took the door from Fiera so she didn't have to keep holding it open and stepped through into the warmer building. She put Plum on the floor who sniffed around a little before pawing curiously at the other woman, and Jack stuffed a hand into her pocket as she made her way over to the counter. This was going to be difficult, unfortunately, she hadn't even written anything in awhile and now she had to remember a bunch of stuff about Plum as well. Giving a frown, she glanced back at Fiera and then smiled slightly, "At least the forms haven't changed, small miracles I suppose." Hopefully this would go quickly and then she could head back to the Kennel as quick as she could. She wasn't sure she was up to this after all, but she would just stay away for awhile if she needed to.

The warmth of the building truly was a relief- Fiera could finally let out the breath she didn't realize she was holding. As usual though, she didn't let Monsoon out of her carrier. It was pretty easy for female pachee to pick up on any stray bits of pollen, so it was best to wait until they were in the breeding room... but considering she was going to be meeting with Plum anyway, she figured it wouldn't hurt to introduce them. She set the carrier down so the two could sniff each other. Monsoon seemed quite curious about this new friend. While they did that, Fiera took the forms from Jack, who had industriously gone and grabbed them already. Within just a few minutes, the familiar old lines had been filled out and the papers returned to the front desk with little delay. "Ready to head on back then?" The humanish asked.

She felt her shoulders tightening as she filled out her portion of the forms and she rolled her head around on her neck to try and loosen up a little. It was hard though, eyes pressing in on her a little, just a look here and there from people she either didn't know at all or barely knew. They probably weren't judging her, but there was that threat, it seemed. Jack shook her head a little to clear her thoughts and then nodded gratefully, "Yeah, let's go." Biting the inside of her cheek, she pulled Plum behind her. Jack tried not to rush, she forced herself to a decent pace, this was hard enough and she didn't need to make things worse. Try not to make it too obvious that she wasn't sure about how things were going just yet. It would work, she would get this done, and then she could put herself into her self induced isolation for a little while again.

It didn't take too long for them to get to the breeding room. Fiera opened the door, once again holding it open for Jack- it was only fair after how many times Jack did the same for her. It looked the same as usual- some things about the breeding center hadn't changed, despite how long it had been since they were last there. Once they were in however, Fiera took the time to shove the breeding berries through the bars of the carrier so Monsoon could get at them. Her appetite was ravenous- it only took a few moments for her to mash them up, soaking up the juices. From there Fiera opened the carrier, but the pachee female leapt out before she could even finish lowering it to the ground. She whizzed around, looking at Jack and Plum. Fiera smiled- at least her enthusiasm hadn't lagged since coming inside.

"Thanks," she said with a little smile as she slipped through the door, Plum in tow. The little Pachee jumped around happily as he watched the other woman feed the female in the carrier, and he stuck his nose through the little bars to try and sniff them out a little as well. Hmm, well this was interesting, at least they smelled nice! None for him though? A forlorn look passed over his face for a moment before off he went again, making Jack smile just a little once more. It was hard to keep track of things right now, considering how her moods were at the moment, but that was fine. At least she could settle down for a little bit and she glanced over at Fiera with a little shrug. "At least this shouldn't take long," she managed softly as she shifted around until she was at least somewhat comfortable.
