The people from the Labs had randomly given everyone a plot to call their garden. Well, it was more of an overgrown patch of dirt, but Yuna shouldn't complain. After all those years of living in the hustle and bustle of a big, crowded city, she finally had a garden of her own. The apartment Yuna used to live in had a small balcony with nearly enough space for two large plant pots. So, she wasn't completely inexperienced when it came to gardening, but this plot of land was incredibly overrun with plants and about ten times bigger than her balcony. It was safe to assume that it needed a hideous amount of work.
Yuna sighed as she looked at all the plants, weeds, and pests. Where should she even start? She wandered off to the back of her plot, making sure she didn't trip over any vines or roots. Suddenly she heard something rustling inside a bush. Alexus abruptly popped out of the berry bush and landed not far from where Yuna was standing.
"Oh, hi there. Long time no see, Alexus." She said briefly, yet slightly startled.

Yuna could just barely see the Mussimander swallowing a berry. Alexus had found himself a bush full of wild raspberries. As quickly as the little creature poked its head out of the bush, it dove back into it. Looking for more wild raspberries that he could nibble on.
The weather of late has been strange. The temperature was ridiculously warm for this time of year. Some of the blossom trees were already in bloom and from the looks of it, even bunches of berries were already ripe. And spring had only just begun...
Yuna looked to her right and saw a small something - what looked like a building - behind the only large tree in her garden. She slowly walked closer and by now saw that it was made of wood. It seemed that the shed had not been used for a long time, as it was a bit shabby and damaged.
The Mussimander curiously followed the girl towards the tool shed, hiding between the plants and weeds.

The shed had obviously not been used in a long time. So had the rest of the garden. The plants, weeds and other pests had sort of taken over the shed. The ivy plant flourished and had almost grown as tall as the roof of the shed. Some of the wooden planks were coming loose, as the rusty nails could no longer hold it together. Some planks had even broken down over time or were completely covered in moss. The conclusion: This shed could use a major overhaul. And that was an understatement.
Alexus fleetingly climbed up the shed through the ivy plant. When he was about eye level with Yuna, he turned around to take a quick look at her, then he quickly climbed up to the roof and continued to survey the rest of the situation from above.
Yuna looked at Alexus when he suddenly started climbing op the shed. Each time she was surprised by the fact that those small creatures moved so incredibly fast. Something she admired. \

Yuna concernedly grabbed the door handle - she didn't want to break anything else, so she was careful - and tried to open the shed. She was immensely curious to see what she'd find inside the shed. Only there was no movement in the door. Was it locked or was something else holding it back? Chances are that inside the shed things had broken down as well, which might have blocked the door from inside.
It had been a while since the labs had assigned her a garden plot, but she could still remember being handed a rusty, old key. This key did not fit the lock on the gate of the surrounded fence. Perhaps it would fit the lock of the shed? She reached into her pocket and searched for the keychain. It was worth a try.
Alexus found everything to be wildly interesting. He watched extra closely when Yuna tried to take something out of her pocket.

Gotcha. She grabbed the keys tightly and took them out of her pocket. She held them up and looked at them carefully. Yes, there were indeed two keys. One for the gate and the other most likely for the door of the old shed. At least she hoped so.
She carefully inserted the rusty, old key into the keyhole of the door. It seemed to fit, though it didn't shove in extremely smoothly. Yuna turned the key and heard a click. She felt the jitters in her stomach and realized that she hadn't been this excited about something so small in ages.
Carefully she opened the door, with a big smile on her face. She had succeeded! When the door was wide open, she saw the inside of the shed for the first time. Just as run-down as the outside, but with a lot of potential.
Alexus, meanwhile, was hanging over the edge of the roof so he could see inside as well.

Unfortunately, Yuna didn’t know a thing about architecture or how to patch up an old shed in a state like this. For now, this will have to do. And it was not like it was on the verge of collapsing anyways. The old shed was - back in the old days - definitely used as a tool shed, as there were several shelving units in the tool shed specially made for storing and hanging tools. Next time she’d visit the garden, she’d bring all her tools. For now she’d hang onto her pocket knife for a bit. Looking at everything that still had to be done in her garden, she’d definitely need it.
The girl turned around and was about to step out of the shed, when something caught her eye. It was Alexus, barely hanging onto the roof of the shed, as he was trying his utterly best to carefully watch everything going on inside, while hanging upside down as well. These critters and their curious behavior and the situations they’d get in to fulfill their curiosity, kept surprising her.
“Hi, buddy.” she said kindly, trying not to spook the Mussimander.

The girl stepped out of the shed and glanced around the garden. It still needed a hideous amount of work. Yuna sighed, for she had no idea where to begin. She looked down - something she always did when she wasn't quite comfortable - and fidgeted with her toes in her shoes. Then suddenly something caught her eye.
"Bzzzzzzztttt..."
The somewhat fluffy, black and yellow insect landed not far from Yuna's shoes. Was it a bee? A wasp? Or a bumblebee? She could never tell them apart. The only thing she knew was that wasps were less friendly and more territorial. This little guy seemed... kinda friendly. And exhausted. Maybe he was fleeing from something? Might as well quickly hide him from Alexus. Insects were his favorite kind of snack and he sure wouldn't make an exception for this little guy.
Yuna plucked a large leaf from the nearest bush. It was still a little wet from the night before. She placed the leaf right next to the bee. He crawled towards it and started drinking the little blobs of morning dew.
