It's some time since the courier last chanced to pass through this particular shop's doorway, but the passing months have been rather kind over in the river delta (Or greedy, depending on how one would define the ratio of bent-hooks-to-actual fish) so unless his next trip looks to utilize pebbles for bait, the aforementioned needs have brought him to visit again. Ducking in from under the overhang, the place still looks about as hazardous as he recalls, though considering the summer and winter storms haven't actually moved the roofing or walls an inch, it speaks more to how appearances can deceive.
He pauses at the doorway, head inclining sideways to catch sight of any particular movement within beyond the hanging decorations. "G'day," he calmly calls out, though by no means in a shout. As warm as the weather is getting, it's not quite high summer yet, so for all he knows the dragon-blood could be hibernating (Making it rather strong assumption that practice exists among them, though it can't be said he's seen many lizard-kind being particularly active within the cold months).

Ka'shisk huddled down with scarves and coats and glowered a little at the person coming in. She wasn't particularly fond of being cold, and being a merchant made it even more irritating, considering she had to be open to make any money. So here she was, cold, huddled by a fire. "What'ssss on the menu for today then?" she asked, tilting her head and pulling one of the scarves a little tighter around her neck.

Ah, there. The head turns towards the call returned as the eyes adjust to the dim light and huddled form otherwise hidden among the backdrop. There's a short, curt wave, coming off more as practised afterthought (Though by no means presented in a fashion as to be rude). "Depend's on what's biting.. and probably who bites most." The hand remains up from the wave to showcase a tell-tale sign of a bandage visible on one of the fingers just above where the half-gloves end, as if to accentuate the comment (Since not for the first time he's considered turning some of the more insufferable of the fish into dinner).
"Winter's been low tide, so not much happening, but there's been some luck here and there. Enough that the greedy bugger's gone and ate all the bait.." the courier shrugs, "With tides coming in, figure to stock up again. How's business been land-side?"

"Sssslow with low tide," she nodded and stood, pulling a coat tighter around herself, "Plenty of bait in ssssstock now, take your pick." Waving a hand toward the containers of bait, she watched him with curious eyes for a bit to see which items he would need to stock up on today.

It doesn't take a lot to notice that the winter's chill makes the dragon-blood's demeanour about as gradual as her movements, being a far cry from the rather overbearing jovial nature from last time (Not that he minds. As far as dragons go she's certainly one of the more pleasant-mannered, which is saying a lot. And after that stint in the manor where he himself nearly got chilled to the bone, he can certainly empathize with the aversion to winter).
At the indication, the courier turns and saunters towards the familiar area, a note of curiosity entering the casual lilt, "Anything new?" His head tilts slightly to one side as the eyes go over the options. "Or suggestions?" the head then turns over the shoulder to look back to her. "Don't get me wrong, the last batch worked fair well, but the fish here are.. not quite yer standard run-of-the-river type fish. Can't seem to match their taste to the bait's preference." (On the one hand, beggars can't be choosers. On the other, he'd prefer to attract things that don't want to bite his face off, for obvious reasons.. Which, admittedly, is a far more fanciful a dream as he'd like to admit).

Ka'shisk frowned a little and scratched her cheek a little, her scales were getting a little tight and itchy, maybe it was time to invest in some form of lotion. "Nothing issss guaranteed of coursssse, your besssst option issss to mix and match. Sssssee what sssseemssss to bite with what. I feel more bite with a lure than with bait, though," she said, slowly moving toward the area the man was in and motioned to a few of the lures. They seemed to work better with most fish sometimes, though it depended on the season and what had come into the water at that point.

There's an agreeable nod to her explanation, as the courier lightly shrugs, "Ah, was afraid as much.." The river certainly had no shortage of odds and ends (More the odds, really), and any one lure or hook could just as likely bring back a piece of kelp as it could a great big snapping thing filled with a hatred for anything land-dwelling. Though he does tuck the advice on bait behind the ear, giving the ssashirk an appreciative point in her direction, "That's true.. Saw more bent hooks than leftovers for sure. If nothing else, the things have made attempts."
The copper eyes hone in on the options again, as he considers a few moments. "I suppose with that in mind might as well just go with the same, see if things turn up different a second batch around. One of each of the colourful lure ones, and three of each of the rest," the hand casually points out one grouping from another, before he glances to her with a craned brow, "Don't suppose the bulk offer's still on the table? For a return customer that is?" The courier isn't keen on charm like most, but there's a hint of playful inquiry beneath that lilt, to indicate a fellow tradesman seeing it worth an attempt.

Bobbing her head, the Ssashirk began to bag up the items he had asked for, "193 if you pleassssse, alwaysss have a dissscount for repeat cusssstomersssss."

There's a genuine smile beneath that casual expression as he steps back to give her room to work, "Much appreciated." While the bait and lure get bundled, he chances a glance over other objects in the store, in case anything else caught attention. One can never know when something new might come in stock that could make life a little easier out there on the river (especially with the floods rolling in and there being more water than ever). He still has half a mind to see if he could get that strange netting fixed, just so wrangling the snapping ones would be just that tad bit easier..
When all is said and done, he follows her to the counter and dig up a pouch from a pocket (Which one is anyone's guess, the courier seems to have no limit to where he can hide them), does a quick count of the credits within and places it on the counter, "193, as agreed." He then drops two additional ones into the pouch, "And 2 more for a total of 195, for the handy advice."

"Appreciated assss alwayssss." Ka'shisk said, sweeping up the credits- and her additional tip. It was always nice to have a customer that appreciated the work she put in around here- and who was willing to listen to her advice. It was only a few moments before she had what the man had requested collected together, sliding the lot of it across the counter to him. "You're welcome back any time."
