Vixen Remiel Tala - Sets of Five
If you wish to make use of Sets of Seven, please give me a heads up so I can write it down. Thank you.
For the accept dark I am going to blindfold my pets and walk them around and get them to do their tricks while they cant see.
For the noise it will be pritty easy though I know I will find it better working with people on this.
Blood and gore I will first start with getting my pets to walk past something dead then I will get them to walk threw/ over it and then I will get some of the smell on my hands and stroke them with it.
The sudden moments one will involve people jumping out of bushes and bags being swung around close by them, that sort of thing.
Enclosed spaces is again an easy one where I will set up a fenced area that slowly gets narrower until it leads into an enclosed box. The first few times the pet will just be lead strait in until they are happy with that then I will work on getting them used to being shut in the box.
No fast or sudden movements. Young galabex and does generally aren't aggressive by nature, but startling them will trigger their flight or fight response. If you plan on playing with an adult male galabex, be very careful. They're more likely to attack if they feel threatened then merely run away. And ANY animal WILL attack if they feel trapped, in a corner, with no way out except through you. Keep them in open spaces when you're working with them. Forest, field, outside, obviously. Since you must keep them restrained, use a halter, not a collar and leash because if they run with a collar on they could easily hurt themselves. A halter should feel more natural if you give them plenty of time to get used to them. As far as training, treats work well, but it really depends on the galabex. But food IS a good way to a gala's heart.
to assist with bridles: Put the halter on Somali. Make sure she's used to it, since you just taught it. Put it on, off, on, off, etc. Put it on, then tie a lead to the halter, and then to a fence post or something similar. Tie the rope around the ring on the throat of the halter, then just buckle the halter loosely around Somali's neck. This is to hold her in place. Now, I didn't mention in the guide, but there are schooling aids for horses learning the bridle. There's the running martingale, which keeps her from throwing her head up, and a drop noseband to keep her mouth closed and from biting you. You'll need to take this off if she's using a bit, though.
Also, there's no real moment of realization, understanding, etc, and the ending is sort of a cliffhanger, rather than a rounded off completion.
In addition, this doesn't have anything to do with the training, but: While the lake does have a beach, the Lasiobel would be in the actual lake water. There are tide pools and the main lake, but I don't know about a brook of sorts (and you'd be in the lake, by the way, not tide pool, considering how big he is). Also, Lasiobel skin is slick and smooth, not leathery, and while intelligent, Lasiobel can't understand your exact words.
OOC Draconics (no slots): Davaros Draconic Shalaya Draconic Lashak Draconic Temp: 'Habaneth' Female If she could be described in an adjective, it would be sloth. She only hunts when truly necessary, eating the sheep that litter the shelves of the canyon. She seems dimmer then other lashak of her size and intelligence, and is incredibly territorial. Her preferred meat is charcoal outside, raw inside. During the winter, she heats the rocks upon which she sleeps, and rests comfortably, giving no heed to any other living creature.

... Pegasus..? Hippogryph...? I bet you want one of those.. -I- want one of those.. Their front feet (though bird-like in appearance) have the bone-structure of a horse, allowing them to gallop - trot - canter - and all those other things Equillion can do on the ground. They can spring into the air like a great Gallor, and unfolding their wings, soar through it. Wow... THAT is an impressive mount. Not to mention it can claw your face off, and has a unicorn-like horn.

Equillor are funny little things in ways of appearance. They're the height of the average horse with compact, fluffy bodies and a long, fluffy tail. Their back legs have the bone structure of a horse, while their front legs are, well... A bit too thin and delicate. They have a difficult time of balancing their weight on their odd clawed feet, and when standing, tend to sit back on their hauches a bit more. They possess small, useless wings and tufts of feathers that cover their ear holes. In face, they are truely owl-like; they eat primarily insects, seeds, and the occasional strip of meat or rodent. They seem to have a bit of a magical curing touch in their horn (when they feel like it), and their soft fur allow them to get along well in cold climates.

Biology: When trying to capture lightning in a bottle there is a certain uncertainty about the result of the outcome, as either you manage to indeed contain a very powerful source of energy in an incredibly brittle container.. Or you end up losing face. With glass. It should come as no surprise that these half-breeds come with a lengthy list of terms of service, warning labels and with some life insurance policies offered on the side when trying to handle them, but perhaps the actual shocking revelation about their nature comes from how they can be ever as dangerous to themselves as they are to others. Indeed, the almighty lord Chaos chooses no favourites from among his flock and these half-breeds have their share of his 'blessings' to make life hardly a bore. Bridled with the shifting, erratic energies of lightning, there is none the less some consistency in their form. For one, it actually manages to sustain a stable form, at least on the outside. Flecks of light dance along every scale and tuft of fur, nimble feet make them agile on their toes and long, thin wings a zephyr in the skies. With their long tails they are able to keep a good sense of balance as well. Angled, sharp teeth make them quite well equipped to all sorts of marine life, their preferred type of food, while long, hooked claws allow purchase on sea-cliff, tree and City building alike. What thrums and beats inside is another story. While not malicious as such, these half-breeds are far from stable, prone to act out without thought and easily given into impulses. The shifting beat of their hearts helps little in that manner, often making them feel as though they're riding a sublime high.. or one step from collapse. As such, the owners would need to form a mighty strong bond indeed, to bring their calm as balance to the erratic nature, in order to be around them in any measure of safety. And even then it might not be guaranteed.

Biology: They are fire, they are death, and quite prickly about their sense of honour to boot. Its no small feat to win the favour of one of these embodiments of mayhem and fire, for they seem to be able to (quite literally) go off at the smallest spark. Still, their sense of honour should not be confused with true intelligence, at least not the kind commonly known in their tat-lung parentage - the half-breeds are quite intelligent, clever even, but are solely focused, or perhaps trapped, along a singular mindset, leaving them little care or reason to learn things beyond it.
What sort of mindset? Well.. They have an obsession with fire, with ruin and the chaos that comes with both. Immersed in such environments they feel a sense of liberty and intoxication. Outside of it, that streak of honour keeps their urges in check, but only barely.. Give them the slightest of reason to unleash and it may very well be they will not stop until spent. As such, all owners are highly advised to bond with their half-breed early on, for a bond of loyalty gives them further reason to remain composed.
On the physical side, there is not much miraculous (beyond the wings) - their bodies lithe, their claws sharp, their sight excellent and their demeanour imposing to behold, to be sure. If anything, it's regrettable they inherited no scales, leaving much of their hide and form rather soft. But the wings.. oh such arcane wonder! So much of their fiery, ruinous fury came to be that their bodies could not fit it all, and some coalesced into physical manifestations - solid fire, smoke and ash. It has been observed that in the moments leading up to their greatest weapons being used the shape of these wings waver, their surface seeming to crackle and destabilize, before the searing flash. Indeed, any half-breed who still survives using their explosive ability will be left standing with much smaller remnants of their wings, and unless properly healed, it could take a couple of hours for them to regain their original size. Beyond that, the change of shape or intensity of colour is usually the first sign of them beginning to let go of that precious sense of control.
Cunning: 2 Critter Average Top Speed: 35 mph (swimming) Special Requirements: Level 5 (to train) Size Chart: 8 Power Levels: 8 Notes: None Stamina: 9 Strength: 12 Resistance: 10 Dexterity: 6 Mentality: 3 Special Abilities: Aquatic, Chlorophyll, Jungle Dweller (Water) Moves: Root, Depth’s Hold, Drown, Spore, Wave of Muck
There is a saying, which says: a rolling stone gathers no moss. Evidently it is not the case with floating stones, or rather, floating wood. Broad, heavy, incredibly large and impossibly strange, these half-breeds are no easy task for most trainers to take on. Even those who could claim extensive knowledge of either the pliathor or nyssa (or both) would find themselves at odds and ends when it comes to taming these flotilla forests. Mostly because there is nothing to, technically, 'tame'. These guys have few enough needs and almost next to no requirement of care, so long as the waters in which they're situated have a nutrient rich floor. Most of the time they do not even move, or if so very gradually, preferring to have the currents slowly push them along, making small adjustments along the way. They feed on the sun and what minerals they can absorb from the river- and lakebeds through their roots, stopping only to dig themselves in for a feeding or resting. Too large for most things to prey upon, too tough for others to even bother with, these half-breeds have next to no natural enemies and neither do they hunt for anything or -one themselves. Thus, a trainer who hopes to bond with one such beast must first manage to even achieve its attention - a task all the more difficult seeing as they seem more interested in what is below water in the sands than anything shouting words at them from the shore. But, patience and careful study can give a good enough trainer inklings on the mindset of these beasts. For one, their passive nature exists only so long as they are not irritated. It can take a while to force them from that state. This does not mean they are above acting upon it once they are.. After all, what better way to enrich soil than with organic matter?
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?
Jun 1, 2020 6:09:21 GMT -6
Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.
Jun 1, 2020 6:02:21 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)

Riku: In mine my crossbreed used foxfire to burn it - but then it used incendiary illusion, which was extra scary because my cross is a plant pet with thick fur. It used the distraction to escape. I’m proud of it, and it’s okay that I won’t finish this month.

Renathan: *But of course, the RNG was not having that. / In Morgan's story, the Nyssa was a real thing, so I wanted to have two different situations for the variety.
May 31, 2020 18:15:27 GMT -6
Renathan: Yeah, the 'finished the story but the RNGods are being a butt' thing is a rather unfortunate situation to be in. I had already decided that in Ren's story, the elderly woman had lied about the nyssa and just wanted someone to talk to*
May 31, 2020 18:14:49 GMT -6
Riku: That makes sense. I've considered that before. -nod- I hope your non-hxr life is going smoothly.

Haix: Just quitting the job. Don't believe I'll be making the ten posts required per month any time soon. XD
May 31, 2020 16:34:01 GMT -6
Riku: Note to haix, I believe you can post the new application form at the same time as the quitting form. Unless you are simply taking an overall break from the job system.

May 31, 2020 15:51:47 GMT -6
Fiera Ferella: ive found that when there's a quest that might take longer like this, its a good idea to try and space out the story beats to try and roll a success before i get to the meat of the story. XD Like, by the time i was 5 posts in my character wasn't
