The Trader has set up a large pile of rocks on the edge of the property for miners to leave and retrieve various stones. If you look hard enough, you could probably find any kind of stone here. Of course, he does charge a small fee to use the service. A wooden box with a slot in the top to deposit credits in sits next to the pile. Though presumably possible, it would not be wise to walk away without paying.
For five credits per item, you may trade any mining item for another mining item of your choice.
Notes:
- Limited to 5 trades per month. You may post multiple times per month.
- Items found in the mines only. Each item can only be traded for a stone of the same or lesser value. (Trades are always one for one, you cannot combine items to trade for an item of greater value.)
- Elemental Crystals, Divine Crystals, Fossils, and Mind Crystals cannot be traded using this service.
- Roleplay your character making the trade. (The pile is unsupervised and work on an honor system.)
- Include the name and color (as listed in the file name) of the item(s) you want as well as the image of the item(s) you're trading in.

Trading. Trading. Trading. It seemed there was a lot of work involved in this little mission I had assigned myself. I already tried to purchase the things I needed outright, but I wasn't able to find someone selling it for a reasonable price. If anyone had just the right object, however, it would be the Trader. I was starting to get tired of his smug little cloak, or at least I assumed he was smug under there. I sure would be if people lined up to hand me trinkets for my hoard.
At the edge of the property sat seemingly endless piles of mostly useless rocks. It seemed that anything lacking in value got dumped out here. I dug through them diligently, hoping to find just the ore I needed to complete the experiment. Eventually, I found something promising, and I practically sang out in joy. A reasonable chunk of skymetal was not easy to obtain, apparently, and I was pleased to have found one among the rubbish.
"...Right," I said as I nearly reached the edge of the pile. I did have to pay for it, even if it didn't look like anyone was watching. I sighed and dumped a small clawful of credits into the little box, and chucked a small but nearly perfect gemstone over my shoulder. That should make us even.

On the way out of the strange trading area on one of his many visits, Renathan became aware of a display that he had sworn he'd not seen before. The russet mammalian did remember that there was a produce trade-in table nearby the strange Trader's wares, and he'd even used it before. However, he had not been aware that there was a similar-looking area for stone. He could hardly contain his excitement- leading to his beloved familiar picking up on this nervous energy and shifting around uncomfortably on his shoulder. He calmed her with a quick pat and then went fishing around in the pile. This sort of resource was extremely important for someone like him; that is, someone that deals in Gemstones as a trade. He was able to find a nugget of copper- something that he had been looking for recently. Sometimes, some metals were more common to find than others. He had been trying to trade a piece of Tin for a piece of Copper for some time now, but hadn't found anyone willing to make the trade. This was perfect! He didn't even think about the fact that the trader wasn't anywhere around as he fished the piece of Tin out of his pouch (along with five credits- practically a steal as far as he was concerned!) and made the swap. Excellent! He'd have to return here in the future.[Auburn is here, but not gaining any levels/loyalty.] --Accepted!

As she has finished up with most of her trip to the bookstore, she can’t help but make a small detour to the middle of the marketplace, noting for the first time that there are a couple of baskets outside with different stones. Stones she is interested in. Reading what the noticeboard says close by on how this works, she takes off her backpack and checks the different compartments, being careful with the books. She wasn’t too certain if she did pack some things for this shop, but perhaps..
Ahh! It seems she did pack a few stones, seeing the copper ore she takes it out and puts it on the ground for the moment, that one isn't the one she is looking for. She does the same for a green stone, but pauses at the glint of gold. Yes, this one should do it.
Taking it out of the backpack she packs up the other ones back in it and places the gold ore in the basket and fishes out of her back pocket five credits needed and adds that in the wooden box.
Now for the stone she saw in one of the baskets... There it is! Smiling she picks up the ore she had been looking for, glad that she had brought along some things to trade with when she did. Now she just needs to head home again.

Skylos is good at math. He isn't so good at putting worth to an item though. Through the grapevine, the strange little cart at the market square that has its inventory switch out monthly also offers a swap for certain 'things'. Things that are of likeness; like rocks. He'd found a whole ton of rocks under the kennel floor. Opinonately they are worthless to him except if someone annoyed him to chuck a rock at their head. But stuffed into his mail slot on the door is a catalog. So rocks had worth. And he can get different rocks too. Little chips come off the rock as he cracks a few together to see whats roughly inside, shearing off the earth encasing the color. Hm... Well, they might be something. He's no idea. But the pointy cut gemstones laying in the pile are of interest for him. He'll take those, and leave these three stones behind.
