To train: Accept sudden movements Accept darkness Accept enclosed spaces At ease hold drop Location (shoulder) Teleport Area Setting: Small 300 foot area, dirt floor, no grass, large oak tree overlooking the pen, too high for any human or pet to reach. Iron fence, checkerboard design, 3 in squares, to prevent most pets from escaping. This area is unique, however. Specifically designed to teach pets how to accept enclosed spaces. It starts off at 15 feet across, and slowly moves inward to end at 5 feet across at the end. Through a gate at the end is a wooden crate, used for teaching pets to accept darkness AND enclosed spaces. Rather useful to get a pet used to the lack of space inside the mines. The crate can accommodate an adult galabex or a young alurook at the most. Weather: Misty, cool, slight breeze. Temperature in the mid fifties, due to being winter. The air is rather dry, drying out damp objects or creatures quickly. Supplies: Pocketpet carrier full of grubbles, basket of hard boiled eggs, basket of cherries, gloves, pocket knife, blindfold, Bottle of blood, box of 'fake' entrails, cymbals, megaphone, bucket of water, length of rope

That made sense now. Pinching a handful of rough paper pages together, Ridelys examined the entries between several years ago, and recently. Recently being the previous year. Ryu nibbled a cherry as he rested on her head. This particular book contained entries for creatures who were 'trained'. The faeron had been trained a number of years ago to acclimatize with loud noises, and she'd commissioned the job. No wonder he barely listened when off the tether. The timid fae-dragon still didn't appreciate anyone besides his companion. Cotton candy pink with violently pink tendril tips, his belly remained a pasty banana yellow with a minty colored frill of... was it feathers? There was debate if faeron had eight or ten wings, she assumed 10 these days. He peered down in curiosity. What was she doing? The claws of the being he rested on released the flat odd smelling pages. Hmming loudly.

Owner Name: Amelia Pet Name: Elurra Gender: Female Level/Loyalty: 10/27 Species: Mosca Breed: Winter Stamina: 4 Strength: 2 Resistance: 3 Dexterity: 9 Mentality: 2 Special Abilities: Empathetic Link, Fly, Tundra-Dwelling Moves: Claw, Bite, Stalk, BlizzardTo Learn: ? There was no secret that Elurra looked an alarming amount like Amelia. The Mosca had a similar colour scheme as the mammalian, and aside from the blue contour and the wings, they were almost indistinguishable. Amelia held a more intelligent pose, her crisp blue eyes held complex thought as opposed to instinct like Elurra's deep purple eyes. She could speak in a tongue understandable to different intellects, whereas the Mosca could only make purrs and other sounds to communicate. The Mosca was also much bigger than Amelia, and walked on all four legs as opposed to the bipedal movements that mammalians were capable of. However, Amelia was able to stalk around on all four legs, and use her animalistic instincts to make things easier for herself. For anybody watching the pair come to the park, it was quite different. Amelia lept and bound through the snow, dancing and giggling as she moved. The Mosca could incorporate flight in her movements, and was a bit more dexterous than Amelia.
It took Amelia a few moments before she had realized that they were not alone in the park. A large area seemed to be sheltered from the cold of the season. A pink creature that the mammalian did not recognize. Multiple sets of wings erupted from the pink critter, and it sparked curiosity in the duo coming to the park. Elurra let out a loud purr, the feline inquisitive of the owner of the pink critter. A bird like creature, but in the same regards a lot like a human. More like a human than the new-Gentle Amelia was. The Mosca thrived in the winter and snow, but did not mind the dirt area that the other two had found themselves in. She crept against the snow, pushing herself into the ground to hide from her newfound friend.
Before Amelia could do anything, the feline sprung from her hiding spot, tackling into the avian with a quick bound. Curling her wings, she braced the woman's fall and prevented any injury. It was quickly apparent she did not mean harm, her rough tongue found it's way against the other woman's cheek, and her tail flicked in a way a dog's might when it was excited. A loud purr erupted deep from her chest, and she was excited to have met somebody new.
Amelia quickly let out a stammered apology. She had no idea the personality of the Mosca, and was unsure if this energy was from being cooped up in a kennel for so long, or if this was a regular occurrence. "I'm so sorry, she's really quite friendly." Her stumbled words came out as she rushed to the grounded individual, as if the Mosca's friendliness was not obvious by now.

The book left abandoned on the table, she turned away to reach for a quill to add another set of notes. Yes, not a pen or pencil, but a quill. That modern invention that if she were a druid, might provoke a drastic reaction of seeing a tree being poisoned like this. The barbules of the feather quill didn't hook together like they did when she received the bluish black primary from Nimbus' first molting. He went to the trouble to pick it up and hold it out to her, seeking her to take it from him. The hollow shaft thick enough to hold a slight metal point inside and a small reservoir of ink. She could hear movements far away; other Pethians out enjoying the cool day. Winter wasn't her season, but Ridelys didn't find herself cold by any means. The faeron snuggled a little deeper into her hair, the rope 'harness' around his limbs and belly itching slightly around the smaller scales beneath his arms. His ten wings stretched a bit, even with no bones to support them. Think dragonfly wings. She felt a few drops of cherry juice land in her hair from the half eaten fruit in his little claws. Good to know he's having a good day for once. Was it being able to stand up a bit easier to what was bigger then him that slowly seemed to be changing the faeron's outlook on life?
Before Ridelys could pick out her ink bottle from the basket of supplies, something large tackled into her from behind. DANGER! She braced to hit the table, the ground, to fight back. But she didn't fall. Didn't get attacked... more of... something big, gray and very fluffy purring and licking her cheek. Whatever kind of purring creature this was, it was ENORMOUS. Ryu found himself dislodged with a squeak of panic. The harness held him fast and with little freedom of length of rope, he landed on the table. And whatever this giant winged thing was, he was terrified of its sudden appearance. Friendly huh?

Elurra was delightful at her newfound friend. She also had no idea what this other creature was, she didn't even see it the first time. It was small and pink, with translucent wings. The Mosca could probably be compared size-wise to a lion, her alarming wing-span however was unlike a traditional creature. Her white feathers pressed against her sides, she looked smaller than the initial viewing. Her rough tongue against the face of her newfound friend, Amelia finally got close enough to get her pet. She had decided this lady had had enough, and pulled at Elurra. The Mosca came away from her new friend with ease, snuggling up to her owner. She liked Amelia in this form, she looked just like her, sans wings. She pressed her nose into the chest of the mammalian, continuing with her purring and joy. She looked up at the mammalian, and Amelia could feel a rush of the Mosca's emotions. All very happy, pleasure-filled. Right now, extreme comfort. Amelia brushed her front hand over her head, the gloves slicking back whatever hair had flown out of place. She readjusted her scarf and smiled at the lady. "Again, I want to apologize. She hasn't had a chance to meet other people for quite some time." How long, the amnesia did not let her know. But what she did know was that Elurra was dying to socialize and meet others. She had brought a small bag, and inside she kept an assortment of treats and little odds and ends that she might need for the day. She pulled it off her back and placed it onto the ground against the fence. Elurra was interested in it, now that her attention had been drawn that way. Amelia let out a slight giggle, and the Mosca pushed her face back into the mammalian's chest. "Elurra." Her voice was soft and she drew a gloved hand over the feline's head. Elurra turned her head and looked at Amelia, happy to hear her voice. Her attention was quickly changed as she remembered the Faeron. She pushed away from Gentle and moved towards the table. She cocked her head to the side, then took notice of the wings. She had those too! In a rush of feathers, she extended her wings to their full wingspan, knocking the mammalian flat in the chest. Quite a sight, also quite unexpected too. Words: 399 Post: 2 Name: 1

Ridelys could hear hurried footsteps over the cavernous purring of the feline giant that presently wanted everything to do with her at present. Not even her estharne pair had that much desire to tackle her and give her a through greeting such as this. This feline creature had the tear markings of a plains runner cat, with berry colored eyes. Not some sort of color she had ever seen before. The creature licked her face again, finally drawing away and folding those wings. For the theron, she found herself landing a bit roughly on her butt, looking up at what could be two related creatures, except one had more.... larger paws. The feline did resemble the size of those wolven vulticus that she... felt ill at ease with.
The large pawed feline apologized for her excitable companion, who seemed much more interested now in burying her nose in thick fur and purring some more. Ridelys inwardly swore the ground shook a bit from such purring. She felt heat spreading up her spine at the sight of not one excitable feline, but two. This just wasn't her day, was it? Finally the feline's attention was off her, but that didn't put her at ease yet.
The giant cat thing was paying attention to Ryu now. Who looked up, a bit puzzled at this massive not smooth scaled or unscaled face with a giant nose. But she seemed interested in his wings, his little wings. She opened her own wings (she?) and FWOOSH giant wings everywhere! The faeron squeaked in fear, launching backwards into the air away from the giant nose thing!
"Ryu, come back!" His progress of flitting backwards suddenly impeded by being hauled in by his tether. He found himself being captured and held close. "N- calm."

Wow Elurra was kind of being an asshole. Amelia slapped her forehead with her hand as she watched the unfortunate scene unfold. Elurra was excited to show off, the pride from the feline clearly showing. Of course, in doing so she had sent the poor Faeron fumbling backwards in a frightened frenzy. The mammalian was at a loss of words, she didn't actually know what she was supposed to do. The avian seemed to acknowledge her frantic apologizes, but so far had not verbalized any sort of acceptance. If her fur wasn't so thick, the other being would quickly have noticed a deep crimson blush running up the snow leopard's face. So embarrassed. Elurra was just so excitable, and she just had no idea how to handle her.
Luckily, however, Elurra noticed the fright from the poor critter. She curled her wings back and took a step back. She was upset, but really confused. She didn't mean to cause fear in the little pink creature, but he did not seem to be enjoying your friendliness. She pulled back and sat beside her owner, looking up at her with the deep purple eyes that set her apart. She whimpered and pushed her face into the mammalian's side. It was hard to tell where Elurra's fur stopped and Amelia's began. Amelia stroked the Mosca's head and pulled out a rope toy from her bag. Elurra looked at her and purred, excited about the toy. "Elurra." The Mosca looked at her with a calmer presence, and when Amelia was happy with her attention, she praised her and gave her the rope.
Elurra curled up on the ground, wings folded around herself. She placed the rope between her front paws and chewed at it eagerly. At least this would be something to blow off some energy. Amelia let out an exhausted sigh and sat at the table, making sure to leave a fair amount of distance between herself and the other two. After a few moments of silence she opened her mouth to speak. "Again, apologies with Elurra. She's a bit of a handful at times. She's been cooped inside a lot lately, and the winter is her favourite season. I just didn't realize she would be so excited to see other people." She had reiterated her same point multiple times, but it didn't change anything. "I'm Amelia by the way."

She wasn't entirely unused to lion sized (or approaching that) felines, and mentioned it. Elurra isn't bad. She can tell this too. But overexcited felines cooped up, which she does NOT say, do tend to be trouble. Pent up energy unleashed. Ridelys sighs deeply. The heat rising up her spine shivers somewhat before it begins to fade. Potential disaster averted. With the mosca not on top of her anymore, Ridelys gets slowly to her feet, holding Ryu close to her chest. It almost appears as she's holding a winged lizard, with more limbs. "N-calm Ryu. N-calm" she mutters to the faeron pinned to her front. His wings and tendrils make it difficult to 'pet' the faedragon without damaging something. He isn't entirely used to her touch. Ok scratch-ouch-that. Not used to it at all. His head pokes sideways and nips her wrist, prompting his release. "No." Ryu squeaks a bit with the firm grip that restrains his ascent with the rope. "No." "Ridelys." she points to herself when the cat-person finally talks about herself. "Ryu." a swept gesture at the faedragon who works to backpedal away from the theron. at ease 2
