It was quite early in the morning whenever Morgan made their way to the so-called 'Shop', one that they would usually have sent a hired hand to instead of actually going on their own. However, this particular matter was a little on the... Sensitive side. Sure, the amount of credits that they were planning to spend today was an incredibly paltry sum all things considering, but they still didn't have very many hired hands that they would trust with a couple of year's worth of salary for those that would make a job of being a courier.
Their plan was to hit up the cart on their walk before heading into work. Though they didn't have a set time that they needed to be at the office specifically (being the boss was great in that way) but they did have an ongoing project that would do much better if the readings were taken at the same time each day... They didn't have anyone they trusted to do that properly either. Not on such an important project.
Morgan stops short of the cart by a respectful distance and turns to Kaodie (ever their most loyal companion) and then they raised their hand to him. The commands were obvious- Sit. Stay. Kaodie doesn't make a sound as he settles back on his haunches. His blank eyes are glued to Morgan, but they knew that unless released from the command- he would not move. At this, Morgan took the walk to the cart.
What they wouldn't give to have allocated one of their aides to this task instead! But alas, it was a paltry little trip (despite possibly being in a more dangerous part of town) to send those that would be much more suited to the procurement of much more... Important acquisitions.
They tilt their head slightly down, in greeting. "M-morning. I would like to purchase an Injection and one of those Speech Collars- if you have any. Sp-sp-specifcally a psychic injection. Nothing too... Ah, colorful for the collar." They had bought of a couple of these from this particular vendor before, but they weren't always in stock. Perhaps this time they would be, and the bespectacled human could spare theirself a trip in the near future.
This was not their favorite place of doing business (by far!) But the idea of attempting to persuade a veritable 'pillar' of the community to take a small donation to run the business from a more reputable (at least on the surface) establishment in a less seedy part of town was distasteful for more than one reason... Not the least in that they would most likely be told quite artfully what exactly to take and where to shove it.
Behind them, Kaodie keeps his eyes glued to Morgan's back. His tail was slack, his tongue lolled, and his ears were pricked; but he didn't move from his seated position.
