The days and nights had blurred together lately. Each day lost in a never-ending tumultuous maelstrom of grey to the point he didn’t know the waking world from that of his dreams. He didn’t know what power had brought him to this cavern, to the riddle-speaker before him, but he could feel something, no someone, pulling at the back of his mind.
“There is another then,” the words rolled heavily off his tongue, “one who has brought us together.”
Eyes screwed shut he tried to focus on the form of the dreamer. His face seemed to go through the full range of sentient emotion as he tried to conjure even a spark of an image of the entity the creature had spoken.
“She’s beautiful, but she seems so… sad?” Tears began to well at the corners of his eyes at the vision in his mind’s eye. They streaked down each cheek and fell upon his chest.
“Her body is so pale, but when she moves,” awe entered his voice, “the light catches like it does on a pearl.”
Wonder flashed across his face as his head turned as if to catch a better look at the dreamer. Anxious body language loosened and calm washed over his form. He began to stretch out a bulky arm as if to grasp at something.
“She’s almost close enough to touch-”
As his hand opened a brilliantly shining coin clattered to the floor from his freshly opened palm. Startled, he opened his eyes and he was alone.

[Theme- Grief. Light blues, creams, and lavenders with slight iridescence as if wet. Graceful and otherworldly, smooth like an eel. Two toes. A being of compassion and patience. Would love for her to have flowing gills like an olm rather than antlers.]
