A few hours had already past when you first set out on your journey visiting the kennel lots that surround your own, visiting old friends, making new friendships or foes, perhaps learning of new creatures that exist, so few have ever seen, or journeying for the sake of adventure with little risk to your personal safety. Everyone has their own reasons for exploring what is out there, and the safest place to start is here at the warehouse, the largest building in the whole city of MML, with its twenty floors up and still expanding. It is the heart of where everything starts and end.
Lot # 4555 may be one of those kennel's that is either in your neighborhood, or far past the usual places you explore, for it is one of those kennels that seem to be too imposing to belong in the warehouse at all.
The style of the wall itself speaks of a culture from far away, not within the boundaries of Pethia. Gray wooden planks in a vertical row at the bottom take up, but a quarter of the height in total, as creamy walls with faint golden lines draw dragon like beings in such realistic details, if they were alive, it wouldn't be a surprise at all if they are the guardians that protect this building from any who threaten the safety of those within.
Dark wooden beams is seen every one and a half meter going vertical, and preventing the faint golden dragons on the wall from getting too large, least the one who drew them wants the dragons to overlap on the wooden beams.
A bit before the end of the wall, a dark wooden beam goes horizontal all the way to wherever the gate may be, for it is a long walk still till it will end, and have the entrance in your sight.
The wall ends at the top with a roof made of straw placed there so long ago, it turned a dark brown, and styled to slope down at your side, but probably on the other side, it slopes down a bit as well, with in the middle of the roof, there are black barrel tiles to finish the foreign flair it has.
Going further in a relaxed pace allows you to notice that the faint golden lines that form dragons are starting to become more distinct in shape, more familiar in a way you hadn't noticed before, some you might recognize by sight, and others from what you have been told before in what one might look like. Elegant, fierce, protective, prideful, a hunger for something more, they all seem to call on something with how they are portrayed, and not all of them seem benign in nature from what can be seen.
And yet with each drawing you leave behind, after a while the lines seem to get fainter, harder to see what they might portray in their postures. The drawings stop completely when you need to move away from the wall when the cement ground starts to fill up with dirt near it. Bushes and small tree's hardly bigger than the wall itself is growing in the ground, with small sprinklers barely visible under the bushes are seen every so often when one tries to look for them.
It is only a few minutes later one gets to see their first sight of the entrance to this Kennel.
Right in front of the entrance, the cement flooring makes a small bow like bridge to it, as large light gray doors made of wood mark the closed gate with on its bottom half containing wooden beams that make a square shape while within it a large X. The top half of the doors contain a smaller set of planks that are vertically evenly placed, and allow one to marginally look inside the kennel in between the space it doesn't cover for.
A path leading right through a garden is something you can easily notice when taking a peek, but it doesn't make it any easier to see if there are any creatures lurking close by the gate.
If the warehouse had a weather system in place, it would without a doubt have creatures hiding nearby, and use the larger set of roof marking the entrance for cover against the rain, but as it is, those types of sprinklers are only used when a fire breaks out occasionally in one of the kennel lots that doesn't fireproof it against beings that are capable of handling such an element.
It only takes a small flame to burn something down completely if such things aren't handled correctly after all.
So the chances of anything lurking close by the gate, and attacking intruders should be quite low.
If you try to push the door open, you'll notice that while there is nothing stopping you from opening them, they are quite heavy to move, and might require you to put your whole weight in it, least these doors are the kind that automatically shuts itself again should you stop pushing it to get past the entrance.
And miss all the wonders hidden within...
