learnt moves: Hunt An especially windy day today, Y.a.ng scowled. Despite her thermal technological build, her power was running on the low side, & today she'd bundled up with a thick sweater, thicker pants, warm boots, mittens, and scarf. The taste of winter was still nipping the air, and she glared blearily as she marched on along the road. The gentle 'whirr-click' of her raptor walked beside her, unbothered and un-phased by the nipping weather. ' For the science!' She thought bitterly as the pair came up to the entrance to the 'Everfields'- she'd gotten the e-mail just this morning, the fields had officially been flushed of all MML-lab technology-altered creatures, allowing the wildlife to be nurtured by the Blaq-labs stuff and returned, allowing for more...precise environmental measurements for working out the lab-creatures and their technological, wonderful advancements. Tucking her hands deeper into her sides, she leant into the wind, hurriedly following the packed path towards the denser, hopefully calmer, area of the land. Kite followed post-haste, keeping to Y.a.ng's quick heels. Kite: 1 1/5 Y.a.ng: 10 1/5 - *This should generally be what your introductory thread looks like- no rolls here!!

The grass swayed, the winds catching the stalks in rough tumbles despite the gently rolling hills which helped to dissuade any hefty breezes. Y.a.ng's run-of-the-mill sneakers crunched on the packed dirt and loose gravel of the packed trail, following it further into the endless fields. Kite was hardly disturbed, his mechanical form precise, deft, and un-affected by the winds all around. This sleek creature would be in his element. Yang pulled around herself with a slight shake, grumbling quietly about the brisk cold. Ridiculous weather, the fields having such a high rate of good weather, what were the odds she would come out on the single day where a storm clipped it's boundaries?
As the trail gradually disappeared, swallowed by the thick ocean of grasses all around, Y.a.ng slowed to a stop and slowly let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding. Lifting an arm, she pointed forward- the trees were still distant, but the pair were more than close enough for her command:
"Fetch,"

Kite quirked only a moment, and took off with hardly a sound. His sleek body streamed through such reeds without pause, left a flurry of twisting plant life behind, while the gentle whirrs & clicks become a smooth, fine hum. Mechanics and muscular structures in tune for optimum hunting speeds. . His yellow body blended with the dense, yellow vegetation, and within minutes, his golden frame disappeared into the depths of the wilderness, quardened off by a heavy-rope fence. The thick swell of tree's almost looked bloated against the trim fields, bulging with under-brush, bushes, and all sorts of old, new, and broken trees.
Y.a.ng started walking again, carrying forward slowly, eyes on the last distant, sparkling smatterings of glinting gold which flashed distantly between the far trees. The raptor, deft in his mobility, caused nary a sound as he sprinted away, gone into the depths of wildland within mere minutes.

Y.a.ng slowly came to a halt, a few yards short of the hefty rope fence. The winds whipped behind her, rushing through the trees with whistles and moans. Y.a.ng watched on, a subconscious frown on her translucent face as she stared on into the dense woods. Deep and dark, how far could they go? Were there farther lands beyond, untouched by the labs' influence, or did these creations, abominations, gods, completely over-run the nationwide? Were there cultures, thriving, out there tucked away with nary a thought to the society which birthed their distant ancestors? Their grandparents? Their parents?
Y.a.ng absent-mindedly rubbed at her arms, fairly well shielded by the winds gusts from where she stood, yet chilled as the pitter-patter of thoughts paced and paced around her work, the chimeras, and the creatures that had been long since released into the wild, un-tamed world around them.

Distant howls gave her pause- the evening was a ripe time for such distant, howling calls, but was it one of communication? Was it one of grief? Was it for her fierce raptor companion, taking a juvenile, or a cub of a vulticus pack, or was it a distant 'I miss you' from one canine, to another? Y.a.ng listened hard, her thoughts about the animals, creatures and beasts, quiet and still. A minute passed, then another... and a distant, similarly long howl, broke.
Y.a.ng shuffled in place, rubbing her sides before slowly picked up her feet, stepping off to the side. She was no expert on the individual ecosystems which had sprung due to the labs interference, but it was plain to see the howls were of a pack, not a lone canine facing the wilds on its own. Potentially a scientific thrill- the signs of goodwork to have chimeric, new beings, create family units and thrive in wild ecosystems without the labs' help.

Y.a.ng paused in her pace to reach and touch the rough rope- sturdy, thick, twined together multiple times together- such a thing wouldn't hold back any unsightly beast, neverminded one with the capabilities to breathe fire or steal your soul with a breath, but for the townsfolk who would come out here it would be a welcome sight. Such rope brings things such as barns, horses, and other, simpler-time ideologies to mind. People would relax around such a fence, and give the Everfields a chance at being a relaxing, peaceful place to take a stroll.
Y.a.ng looked back into the depths of the woods- she knew where the true fence was, a brilliant design of electricity and magic- something that could detect the 'MOTHERHOOD' program built into all the home-bound chimeras, and which the wild-ones were without. A hard-wall of unseen, unfelt electricity by those with the correct 'programming', an ugly-thing made of tall skinned trees, wires, runes, and a faint blue light without a source. From where she stood, she could see only the way-points used for installing it deep within- out of sight, out of mind, and the fields remained...safe enough.

iSxVb6lW1-10 Y.a.ng started, catching the soft, glint of gold out of the corner of her eye. Distant rustlings, the confident sounds of someone who has caught something and didn't mind being noticed, let her know her companion was on his way back with something. His tail whipped as he trotted, stepping over the rope-fence with little issue, stomping up to Y.a.ng happily with something held gently by his maw. "What'd you find, boy?" Y.a.ng murmured, holing out her chilly hands. Kite gently lent down, and placed the duck skull in her hands. Y.a.ng couldn't help but smile, Kite's head tilting and giving a soft, querying ' Rrrr?' as she did. Y.a.ng nodded to herself, waving away the earlier, paranoid pacing of thoughts revolving around the Labs & their flux of powerful creatures, pocketing the small, clean duck skull. Giving the side of Kite's neck a few good, solid pats, she offered "Great find, boy." This little bird skull was a really a good a sign as any. Kite: 2 2/5 Y.a.ng: 10 7/5 - 1-10
