Sarabi finally moves over to him, avoiding anything he might do (especially his legs, since he seemed to be in a strange kicking mood and also wasn't paying attention to her, so she was sort of afraid he'd accidentally kick her too) while still reaching out and pulling lightly on a leg, to get his attention. He seems to snap out of whatever kind of fugue he was in, and look down at her. "What is it, Sarabi?" He asks her. Well, at least that sounded more like him, to her. She huffs at him, gesturing to the rock that he had kicked. "Oh that, well uh... Don't mind me." He says. What does that even mean, Sarabi thought? It made no sense whatsoever. She huffed at him again, and then turned. Ah, the rock had come from the wall.
She gives him another look, this one he interprets through the link as 'incredulous'.
Renathan rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. "Well uh, yeah. I guess I checked the rock wall after you said nothing was in it. I guess I should've listened to you." He says, feeling particularly stupid. He'd better get to work, or he'd never find anything. He felt really dumb for getting so mad over his own stupidity. It wasn't like the world owed him a break or anything like that. He'd been having a hard time recently, and had been trying his best to ignore it, but it did seem like all his recent frustration had been through him just now regardless of how much he'd been trying to ignore it. Sarabi wasn't going to take Renathan acting like a baby, though. She huffs at him, gives him a 'you better straighten up' look, and then she goes back over to the rock wall. At least she knew where the minerals were.
Renathan and Sarabi spent what felt like an hour, but had to be only about thirty minutes, in that first room. Sarabi was either having poor luck herself, or digging to forever in order to get a mineral that Renathan was sure must be a mile down for all it was worth. Renathan tried fruitlessly to dig at the wall himself. There wasn't much to be found today, it would seem. It didn't take long for Renathan to want a break, and to consider coming down here another day. However, Sarabi soon enough broke from the room they were currently in and into another room. Immediately, before she even widened out the hole to make it to where he could come in as well (head tilted down of course, he was quite tall and his antlers were unwieldly), he knew that there had to be a crystal down there. He could feel it hollowly, in his bones.
That was what Renathan was looking for. He'd previously found crystals (for the kid) for extra money, but he had stopped searching for them after he had saw what swallowing a chaos node had done to the poor kid. However, that didn't necessarily mean that every prospective customer was going to be a kid, let alone a complete nutcase, so he was back on it. This time, he was trading with a Ssashirk trader. Three tainted crystals were required, so Renathan focused each day that he had came on trying to find that specific kind of crystal. He had a very, very good feeling about this one this time. "Sarabi- did you find a crystal?" Renathan asked, a bit rhetorical. Sarabi wasn't paying any attention to him, and was instead busy getting the little passageway taken out enough so that Renathan could also get through. It was going to be hard work.
Renathan wanted to help Sarabi, but he knew that she had a bit of a track record of not wanting him to get in the way. He weighed his options for a moment, and decides to go ahead and try to help. He takes the pickaxe that he had been using just a bit ago and then took it to the wall beside her, making sure to strike the rubble away from her. She huffs at him, but continues on anyway, not quite caring enough to fight with him over it. The pair worked on the wall together the best they could, though they did get into each other's way often. The pair grumbled at one another (or rather, Sarabi grumbled and Renathan simply did the best he could) and finally, the wall was wide enough to where Renathan could fit through comfortably. Hopefully, Renathan would not need to drag the cart through though.
Sarabi steps through the hole that they had made by working together in the rock wall. Renathan ducks his head and follows after her. The feeling that he typically got from the crystals was not quite a headache. It felt more like having a loud sound go through the body, like a thrum. However, the not-quite-a-sound sensation felt deafening as he stepped through the little hole, carrying his pickaxe. He looks around, left to right, looking for the source of the doubly-loud thrum. Sarabi is also looking around, as if she is sensing something particular around her- but a lot of it. Perhaps it wasn't the crystal that she was personally after. "Thanks Sarabi." He says to her, giving her a pat on the shoulder. Soon, they'd work on her flight the rest of the way. This cavern was sure big enough to facilitate for that kind of training!
Renathan left Sarabi to her own devices on the other side of the large broad room. It was a strange place, as if the ground had swallowed up a religious site. It was the only thing that really made sense to him- the walls were all painted in strange creatures that he had never seen before. The caricatures appeared to also have what looked like humanoids of some kind- perhaps it was a smaller kind of people, and furry from the looks of it. Of course, the pictures were not all that accurate, so who really knew what it was meant to portray? Renathan wasn't entirely sure if they should dig, here. Still, the far side of the room where Sarabi was did not have anything for her to ruin by digging near it, and Renathan's side of the room was very dark. He switches on his flashlight and pushes forward.
The wall decoration aside, the room was fairly... Nondescript was probably the best word for it. The floor was pretty flat, but did have a bumpiness to it that floors in the common day would not have. He was careful to remain on good footing as he walked across the room into the dark. The flashlight only illuminated so much here- so there must not have been anything else in the area that was producing any light. In the main room that they had just walked out of, there had been quite a bit of ambient light from outside, shining down in the opening to the underground that was angled just so. As for this room, it was almost... Rank, in a sort of dusty way, as well. As if the first bit of fresh air that had gotten in a long time down here was done just as Sarabi had broken through.
Sarabi was on the far other side of the room, and from the sound of it, she was digging at something or another. That was pretty exciting, Renathan thought. Perhaps she would also find something down here- minerals perhaps? On the other hand, Renathan was walking towards the end of the hall that had exquisite wall paintings, so perhaps with any luck he would also find something extra for his troubles. He pushes through what had to be an ancient cobweb (complete with dead spider that looked like nothing he had ever seen- it must have died whenever the area sealed off, and no food was able to come into the room for it?) and breaks it to bits (along with dead spider carcass, which was just barely hanging on as a husk anyway). He sneezes, having gotten some of it in his nose, and swears a bit in his home language.
It was a bit hilarious perhaps that Renathan could go from throwing a fit like a child over something stupid one second, to swearing over having cobwebs in his nose the next, but he had been under a bit of stress lately, and all of his creatures could tell. It was actually causing poor little Auburn to be extremely anxious when they were out together, which was not at all fair to her. He frowned beneath his mask as he finally stopped machine-gun sneezing, and shook himself off to make sure that the rest of the cobweb wasn't on him. Of course, all the spiders were probably dead, but it still felt really gross and dusty. He always took a shower after going mining, but he was going to need a bit of extra TLC today, he figured. He continues on, creeping over increasingly uneven ground as he went. Beyond the way- he could feel that characteristic thrumming over the sounds of Sarabi Digging.
Finally, after what feels like forever of creeping (definitely wasn't over two minutes though realistically) the mammalian is able to see the end of the area. It is another rock wall (yet another?), though this one seems even smoother than ever, with right angles where it joins into the other painted walls. There were stone steps that were untouched by time and weather, sharp as could-be at the angles. It was absolutely amazing that this place was the way it was- but wow was it dusty. It must have sat unused for some time actually, even before it was sealed off (probably at the far side, where Sarabi was digging, he thought). Perhaps it was an ancient rockslide? He hummed a bit, softly, but it still echoed. Somewhere along the way, he could hear Sarabi's digging pause. Perhaps the noise had startled her a bit. Soon enough, she starts up again.
Renathan listens to that for a moment, trying to calm his beating heart. For some reason, he feels that feeling that he gets sometimes- the anticipation that something strange is in front of him. Something sort of invisible to the naked eye, perhaps, or maybe just hidden. He is not sure where they could be hidden at, if such a thing was indeed there and he wasn't just being paranoid. He finally is able to gain the courage to step up on top of the first step at the bottom, and then again in quick succession to the next step. He didn't want to lose his cool. Something about this reminded him of the steps to the top of the temple where folks made nodes sometimes (he had done it quite a few times now, so he knew plenty about it... At least getting it done.) and that was enough to give him pause again. He strains his ears for the sounds of Sarabi digging, to calm himself again.
Silver: I think so! I'm not sure how Xentus is organising that, but I believe we can write new guides for shop species and stuff. I'd love to see some on the mansion pets!

Twilight-Claw: Since the Bellafaux are the dumbed down but bigger version of them. Love the fact that they got stats of their own now though! Finally they can be trained! <3

Twilight-Claw: Hmm, for some reason it doesn't feel as if the Bellaroxi has the right move set when looking at the old entry of them in text.
