It would have to work no matter what and all that, but at least he was trying to figure it out it seemed at the same time. Jack smiled a little, wondering if his attempts at dodging were going to be good or not. Pushing her hair back, she threw another stone at him for a moment and then nodded when he dodged out of the way, though he seemed to have stumbled a little at that, meaning he hadn't really done it on purpose, but it was good enough for her! Jack tossed him a seed with praise, "Good boy Tobi, good dodge!" Tobi puzzled at the woman for a moment before he worried the seed out of it's shell and ate it. He loved seeds, the lightly toasted ones were the best, the flavor was still there, with just a hint of smokiness. Though it wasn't as though he had a refined palette or anything...

Things were going to work out for them, she knew it, but that didn't make this training any easier on either of them it seemed. Jack sighed a little and shook her head, not knowing what to expect from things at the moment, but when she went back into position, Tobi seemed to be ready, an air of confidence flowing over their link. Smiling, she nodded and threw another stone at him, "Tobi, dodge!" The Jibiji jumped up into the air and fluttered there for a moment before landing again, the stone barely missing him as he did so. Jack smiled a little, she was pleased with the outcome and tossed him a seed, watching as he worried the meat of it out of the shell again. It was good to work on this kind of thing again she knew, but it was tough going into something as hard as all this right now.

Jack stretched out her shoulders a little and shook her head, unsure of where things were going to go for now. Well, she didn't need to worry too much about things right now, just Tobi and his training. Maybe after all this they would get something else done, but it wasn't likely at the moment. She sighed a little and launched another stone at the little bird, "Dodge, Tobi!" Tobi chirped and moved to the side, though the little stone hit his wing, making him twitter a little at the same time. Jack straightened up a little and tossed him a seed anyway, he'd done it, just not quite well enough anyway, since the stone had hit him. He had the idea of things at least, which was good, and she felt that deserved a reward at the same time no matter what. Jack pushed her hair back on her head with a little smile.

Without a doubt, this was some of the worst training she could think of for the moment. She scowled a little and hated herself for having to do this, accidentally hurting the little bird was something she really didn't want to do, but there wasn't much else she could do at the moment. She really needed to get this done though if she was going to get any more training done by the end of the day. "Dodge!" came her shout as she threw another stone in the air at the bird. Tobi deftly dodged it this time, earning praise and a seed from the woman. It was easy enough to train when they already knew it, but she wondered what would happen if she taught him how to run or something... Jack suppressed a little laugh at the thought of him running, and wondered if that was even possible for her to train him.

After all this, she had an idea of what they were going to train in, and then they would probably hit up the Gym a little as well. Jack sighed a little and shook her head, she hated going to the Gym, but it was definitely needed at this point. She straightened her shoulders and nodded before tossing a rock at the Jibiji, "Dodge!" He swooped out of the way, making her smile. After he figured this out, then she would do it without the command, and then blindfold him. Really, he had to learn how to do this without the command at some point, something which would be rather nice no matter what. Jack shook her head a little as she tossed him a little seed, maybe she'd bitten off more than she could chew, but there was no real way for her to figure that out just yet it seemed.

It was nice to be training again though, she knew that much when she thought about it, and a smile graced her face for a moment. Things were fine right now, life was pretty good, so there was nothing to hold her and the little bird back just yet. Maybe once the halfbreeds came in she wouldn't focus on Tobi so much, but... that was hard for her to think at the moment. Jack threw another stone at the bird and shouted, "Tobi, dodge!" Little Tobi flew out of the way of the stone and chittered at her, and she knew he had it down at this point. Now she just needed to work on the other thing, sensing danger without her telling him about it. It was the worst part of it all she figured, but hey, it worked out well enough for her at the moment. At least it would go quickly, or so she hoped.

Maybe this would go quickly, but she really didn't know at this point. Jack sighed a little and shook her head before she popped her shoulders and then threw another stone at the little Jibiji, not saying a word this time. Tobi squeaked a little when the stone hit him, he wasn't expecting that! Chattering angrily at her, he ruffled up his feathers a little and glared at her as best as he could, though Jack knew she was going to have to go through much more stuff in order to get through this training. She was going to be yelled at for awhile at this point she knew, but that was alright. Another rock sailed through the air at the little bird and again it hit him, even though he'd been looking at it this time. The last time he'd just been staring off into space, something he needed to work on a little if they were going to be in the tournament.

Jack tossed a stone up and down in her hand with a sigh as she looked around at the Park for a moment, while Tobi tried to settle his feathers again. He wouldn't like the next training either... She shook her head, the Park was pretty barren for the moment, and her own area had been changed after the accident, of course she didn't want to see that again if she could help it. Tossing the rock at the Jibiji again, she smiled a little as he tried to scramble out of it's way without any success. It struck him squarely on the chest and almost knocked him over, making her chuckle a little at the same time. It was a good thing he was a little stronger in taking a hit now after the Gym, though they had more work to do after all this training. She just wished there was more she could do for him when it was all said and done.

Without a doubt, at least he seemed to be getting what was going on, though she hated not saying the command word for this very thing he was supposed to do. Jack sighed a little and shook her head, a little unsure of what to do at the moment, but that was fine. She just needed to keep throwing stones at the little bird and that was that. Another stone was let loose at the bird and Tobi just barely made it out of the way as he was actually watching this time. That was something he had been working on a little on his own, paying more attention to the woman when she was trying to train him. It was a good thing at this point, she knew, but that didn't matter at the moment, but that was fine. She knew it was true that he needed to pay attention, so he was doing well with this training either way.

Everything would be fine in the end of it all, and Jack nodded a little to herself as she threw another stone at the bird. He dodged out of the way without her telling him, and she smiled a little at the sight. Maybe she could teach him to be a little deceptive, but with so many animals out there sensing danger... that was the hard part. Heaving a bit of a sigh, she tossed him a seed as she thought about it. It would have been so much different if people couldn't teach their animals exactly what she was teaching hers, but that might take some of the fun out of it at the moment. Jack just knew there was more to teach him, and he was going to have to figure it out eventually. Ah well, it would be later on that they trained up some more, she needed to take him to the Gym still and all that.

Jack threw another stone at the bird and smiled as he flew out of the way of it, knowing he'd gotten it down so far, but there were still things he needed to learn with this, and that was going to be the hard part. Just curious, she threw another one at him and he dodged again, but once she put the blindfold over him, things were going to change and she knew it. Jack sighed a little, she hated this part of the training, but that was fine, she could get through it and so could Tobi. At least he was pretty impressed and willing to be trained at this point as well she figured with a low chuckle. Some people might find it a little intimidating, but not others, and she really didn't care what was what at this point. Jack turned her chuckle into a little laugh, she didn't really care what other people thought right now.

The woman walked over to Tobi and produced a small scrap of cloth before tying it around the bird's head, making sure to cover his eyes. He complained the whole time, of course, but that was alright she figured with a little sigh. Walking back to her spot, she tossed a stone into the air and then caught it again before launching it at the bird. It hit him square in the chest and knocked him off of the post, making him flail a little before he caught himself in the air again. Now that he knew what to expect, things would be a little easier she was sure at least. Jack smiled a little and shook her head, unsure of how to proceed with things for the moment and all that, but that was alright no matter what. Jack pushed her hair back and threw another stone at the bird, hitting him on the side as he settled back onto the post.

After this, it was going to work out well, they would get him to loosen his feathers if he was gripped, definitely a good thing if that happened. She smiled a little bit and shook her head as he settled onto the post again, and then threw another stone at him. Tobi tried to dance out of the way, but he was still hit on the side by the stone, but at least he'd tried to move. She threw another stone and he still got hit, but definitely not as badly as he could have been at this point. Jack smiled, she was pleased with things at the moment, which was happening less and less recently. At least she was starting to rise out of her funk, she had to be pleased with that much and all. Settling back on the heels of her feet, she threw another stone at him, wondering if he would be alright.

Tobi managed to get out of the way this time, and she wondered what was going to happen when he got this down and all that. She smiled, she'd never taught the next thing on their list, so it was going to be a lot of trial and error, which was perfectly fine. Honestly she just hoped he had some feathers to spare for this next training. Jack shook her head and threw another stone at the bird, she was getting a little ahead of herself right now, which was bad, and she smiled when the bird managed to dodge out of the way at the last moment no matter what happened. She was pleased with him at least, which was good, and she knew that it was going to take some time to get this down a little better. Just because he'd done it once didn't mean much after all.

Everything would be fine, she figured as she lobbed another stone at him again. Jack smiled as he dodged out of the way of it a little clumsily, but he would get better as time went on. While she was sure she could call it good at this point, she wanted to make sure things were going to be good before it was alright. She sighed a little, unsure of what to do at this point, but she knew they needed to do it a few more times before they called it good for now. Of course there was still more training to be had after this, but that was fine! Smiling, she threw another rock and watched as Tobi scrambled out of the way. She wasn't sure if he sensed it, really, if he heard it, or what, but he was doing well so far and she couldn't blame him for wanting to learn this as quickly as possible.
