They fought silently, only low howls and bones creaking. The bone familiar couldn't mess with the specter much, but that didn't matter much, they still fought.

Renathan had not been planning on coming back, let alone with Auburn again. However, he had a horrible dream, and he was back that very night. Something about the ley had changed, and it was calling him here. "Come on Auburn, let's go." He had said, and of course Auburn was NOT happy. She didn't want to come back. Renathan hadn't been planning on coming back either, but back he must regardless. He felt like he would be losing out on something if he did not. So he did.
As soon as they got there, it was morning, he opened the gate and stepped right in. He followed the path to the place where he had seen the creature before, and was shocked to see two creatures fighting. Renathan quietly hushed Auburn, and watched them for a moment. Well, time to see if either of them would come home with him; he had seen the hound-like creatures before, but not the boney one. "Hello there, you two..." He said, loud enough to be heard but softly. Hopefully they would stop fighting soon.

The bone familiar swiped at the specter, claws going through it soundlessly before it turned to the man and rumbled softly. The specter stared for a moment and then backed up a little, wondering what to do. It couldn't be hurt by normal means, but something was... not normal here. The familiar had little fear, however, and rumbled as it moved forward menacingly.

Huh, well, at the very least both of them were very focused on each other! Renathan wasn't really sure how to help that at the very least. "Oh, well, uh. Auburn, any ideas?" He asked the little fluttery creature on his shoulder. She just fluffled up a bit, and then smoothed back down, looking pretty calm. Oh, well, that must mean that they weren't a threat in her eyes, at least not yet. She was highly specific about this sort of thing, she had looked quite nervous earlier on in the night anyway. What did Renathan bring anyway? He glanced into his backpack for a moment, and pulled out a baggie of treats. Well, dang, that wasn't going to help much, was it? "Hey, you two!" He called out, a little louder. At that, he tossed a few of the meat treats from the baggie. Hoping that it did something at least.

The bone creature turned and stared at the treats for a moment before devouring one of them, clacking it's bones together at the specter as it inched forward. Glancing up, the bone creature looked around expectantly as the Specter cowered behind it, wishing it could have some of the good smelling treats, but realizing it wasn't going to be able to have one.

Holy Murp, that worked! Renathan grinned beneath his mask excitedly, and Auburn pouted on his shoulder, keeping an eye out for danger. She had no idea why he did this kind of stuff all the time, but she would always be there for him! Renathan wasn't sure if the creatures would, or even could, eat such things, especially the ethereal one. Speaking of the ethereal one, it was hogging all of the treats. Renathan tried not to frown at that. He grabbed another handful out of his pouch of treats and tossed them a bit away from the ethereal one, far enough that it couldn't really hold both positions at once. "There you go, buddy. Now you both can have some. Poor critters, cut each other some slack why-dontcha." His voice was kept calm and steady. He took this moment to move a little closer, hoping that they would let him.

The bone familiar slunk forward and ate a few of the treats, they slid out of it's bones and back onto the floor for the Specter. The Specter crept forward for a moment as the bone familiar boldly went toward the man and sniffed at him a little. Things seemed to be going well...

Renathan was more than pleased that the bone creature was coming closer to him, and he gently, carefully and slowly raises his hand to hold his palm up for the creature. "Aren't you an interesting creature? I've never seen one like you." He said. Auburn didn't seem worried on his shoulder at all, but she kept a careful eye on both of them just in case. Renathan reached out to see if the bone creature would let him pet it or not, the thing didn't seem to be too dangerous, besides being a bone critter. Still, Renathan kept on his guard just in case. He did grab a few treats out, and hold them out in his palm for the specter as well. He knew that his own specter tended to try to get at them, even if it really couldn't. It made Renathan chuckle, sometimes. He was glad that they weren't fighting at the moment, though!

The bone familiar sneered at the man and then snagged the treats, glaring at the specter as it did the same thing, though they passed through both of them quite easily. The specter inched forward and sniffed at the man before twining around his legs, the bone familiar simply sneering as it sat next to him.
[Congratulations, you've tamed the creatures!]

Renathan was, perhaps, a bit tired. This month had generally taken a lot out of him; seeing as more folks were sending him commissions for work. He had so much he wanted to do, and so little time! As soon as he manages to convince the pair of creatures to come home with him, Renathan began to make his way out of the mansion grounds, checking about the entire way to make sure that there wasn't anything interesting around that he needed to bring home with him. Auburn seemed happy enough, as she was trilling quite a bit, so Renathan counted this little mini-outing as a success. Perhaps he would be able to come back before the next month; but he really doubted it. He just didn't have the time right now to be wandering about the mansion grounds much more. He sighed as he got to the gate, checked for anything interesting again and took it with him as they left.
