Renathan is just barely able to pull himself up out of his sitting position as he desperately forces himself to stand up. His body is shaking now that the immediate danger is not looming over his head; he'd always been a little frail and he was about to the end of his rope for more surprises. He touches his now swollen wrist gingerly, and then touches the stallion's head gently with his other hand. "Alright Shy Guy, let's go." He is shaking, but the stallion keeps him up even as the stallion gets to his feet. He knots his fingers into the stallion's mane as gently as possible and places his palm against the sturdy neck. He needed to keep going. However, it seemed that the mansion was ready for him; right in the direct path of how he'd normally get out of here laid all of the threats he'd faced previously; in the condition he'd left them in.

The stallion keeps the mammalian on his feet as they both looked down at the fairly daunting situation below. Directly in the path of where they had come from to get to their current position, the large forest of huge wildflowers seemed to be growing. This was on the direct opposite side of where it had been previously, when they had scrambled up here. Past that, the gibbering rock was still roaming around angrily; perhaps even screaming? Thankfully, Renathan could not hear the screaming from here. Even further on; the twisted ivory tower shone beautifully and glamorous against the landscape; and even more beyond that so, was the fae pond, now a rushing river against the landscape. Renathan swallowed thickly. They were going to have to somehow traverse all of that without getting killed in order to get back home. He almost just couldn't do it; couldn't force himself forward to face it. But they had to get home somehow.

Getting home was going to be a monumental task at this point, but Renathan steels his resolve as he had previously, and pets the Stallion's mane for comfort, hurting his wrist a little in the process. Still, the stallion made him feel a little calmer, even with how shaken he had been due to the multiple mental attacks. Renathan seemed to be very susceptible to those kinds of attacks; and the Mansion was most certainly preying upon it to have a little fun with him. Renathan had luckily heard and researched a lot about the Mansion, so he knew some things. Renathan began making his way down the hillockside in order to get down to the flowery forest. He knew that they had to go through it; the Mansion was not going to allow it any other way. He stands at the bottom of the hillock; staring into that gleaming forest, and he smirks beneath his mask. Well, here goes nothin'.

Renathan keeps his hand on his very loyal stallion and bravely walks into the foreboding flowery forest; keeping an eye out for any dangers. At first, the flowers seemed beautiful and lush to the touch; he didn't touch them, even though they looked beautiful and almost dewy in the morning light. He figured that since they seemed to be formed by some kind of acid earlier; that they would be poisonous. Not long after he refused consciously to touch them; it seemed to grow difficult not to touch the flowers. The pathway he had been on was beginning to close off around him; the flowers growing close together and crowding in; making it hard for him to get past them without brushing his shoulders on the lower petals or on their leaves. He tries very hard not to touch them; finally ducking and twisting around them. The stallion did not need all this caution; he was probably immune.

Renathan finally begins to see a light at the end of this metaphorical tunnel; but it is very far away. The forest is starting to grow darker somehow otherwise; like a thick canopy of flowers blocking any light from above. The flowers were beginning to grow more sinister as well; some appearing very dry and crackling; making a leaf-like noise in the stale breeze that shifted about the area, smelling like dank mildew somehow. Some of the flowers were wilted and wet; obviously mossy. Others were covered in mushrooms; tiny mushrooms of all colors that glowed a sinister light. Renathan was not sure what to think of this; until he accidentally knocked into a log that squashed one. A poof of bright colored powder seemed to explode out of the squashed mushroom; dizzying him immediately. He hangs on to the stallion as the vertigo increases; making him woozy and a little sick to his stomach.

The stallion holds him up quite well until the vertigo and nausea pass. It was good that the effects of the spores were mild and quickly went away; so that he didn't have to deal with it too long. Perhaps a minute or so. Renathan hoped that the Mansion was not making the huge forest of flowers any bigger as he thought about this and dealt with the spores. He had to be super careful not to knock over any of those mushrooms from here on out; that was too much wasted time. Renathan kept trudging on, just barely dodging the probably poisonous plants along the way. Eventually, he comes to a little stagnant-looking pool in the middle of the area. He avoids it entirely, despite it's beautiful glow. He was worried about getting out of here, even though he needed a rest very badly. He eventually begins to notice yet another odd thing.

The area was getting denser yet again; but was that a breeze that he didn't feel against his fur; or were those flowers moving? Renathan looks up at them and squints. It was difficult to see; they were blocking out all light after all! He does notice the tiniest movements at the tips of the flower's leaves; and then the stalks began twisting about, bringing the flower heads down a little. Renathan begins moving faster, trying desperately to get out of the forest of flowers just a little faster. He didn't want to even know what was going on here; he wanted to go home and forget all about it. The land was tiring him out, and he didn't want to get caught in an even worse situation. Little did he know; he already was. The flowers twisted down here and there, to stare at him. Each had a pollen center with what had to be hundreds of accusing eyes.

The flowers stared at him angrily, and he tried not to look at any of them for very long. The stallion was trudging on, not looking at them either, trying to force their way through the area as fast as they could. However; they had angered the flowers; a mushroom had been harmed. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, as the saying went. They were out for blood. Suddenly, the forest erupted in a cacophony of screams and growls; roars and howls, screeches, and many noises otherwise unimaginable to Renathan. He tightly clenches his jaw and forces himself to trudge on; now not worrying about destroying parts of the forest as he walked. He'd already messed up. The flowers grinned at him viciously with pointed teeth, and lunged. He begins running, the stallion hardly walking faster to keep up with him. This was bad; this was very bad. But he could see the light at the end of the tunnel; very close now.

Renathan makes a mad dash for the exit; he can feel the flower's roots reaching up to grab his ankles, he just narrowly misses being tripped by a rogue vine; and a snapping flower tries to take a bite out of his ear only to be poked in one of it's many eyes by one of his antler's tines. He is very lucky; but soon the pair stumbles out of the horrible giant flower forest and onto clean green grass again. Renathan darts for the next hillock; and notices that he is limping. When he looks down he realizes that his ankle was bleeding. He barely makes it up to the top of this hillock without collapsing. He stares down at his ankle in shock, and then realizes that it was a tiny knick; but his entire ankle was very bruised. One of the roots must have grabbed him pretty good; he must have barely slipped out of it's grasp. The stallion stands beside him on the hillock, breathing hard again.

Renathan takes his ankle and raises it up into his lap worriedly. It didn't seem to be too bad, but this would make it hard to navigate the way home. He was growing tired and desperate; it was beginning to show in his eyes. He looks at his stallion with a sense of exhaustion that certainly permeated the empathic link. The equillion, however, only exudes a tense of tiredness and bravery. It makes Renathan feel better, definitely. He tries to stand up on his foot to no avail; it seems that now he isn't running for his life that the pain is just too much. He quickly rises to his other foot, using the stallion for support while holding up his bad leg. The stallion bows slightly, and he uses his arm strength and then his leg to climb on to the equillion. There was no way he was getting home by himself on this foot. He just hoped his stallion knew what to do at this point.

The equillion has a difficult time getting down from the hillock. The added weight on his back without a saddle was difficult enough already without it being an injured, dead weight. But he had to get the mammalian out of this area, it was the only thing he could think of. Too many predators; they had to run away. He trudges across the grass resolutely, his sleek mane and tail swaying in the wind. Renathan is leaned forward into the back of his neck and mane, just hardly hanging on. It was almost like he was sleeping, fitfully, almost. The stallion makes his way past the angry rock and Renathan's presence definitely picks it's interest. The screaming rock begins ambling after them on it's horrible feet-hands, like a golem out of legend. It's face was twisted in an awful semblance of humanoid; with human teeth that were now shiny like ivory instead of granite-like and grainy.

Renathan cannot hear the screaming he knows he should be hearing. The pain has just about made him pass out at this point; he can hardly concentrate. He tries hard to concentrate on the world around him as the stallion ambles across the grassy knoll; but the world was spinning around him like a myriad kaleidoscope of chaos and light. He squints and then closes his eyes, happy for the reverie from the world for a moment. The rolling motion of the equillion's strange gait kept him lolled a little, and felt rhythmic and relaxing as he laid sprawled across his back. The rock was ambling after them; he knew; probably screaming it's full head off. Soon, the stallion stamps a foot to wake him for a moment; and he instinctively holds on to the mane harder as the equillion begins climbing up the last hillock. He knows they are really close now.

The stallion finally stands on top of the grassy knoll; where the horrible pursuing rock creature could not climb up without falling over in to the near-valley below. He had walked past the ivory tower without issue; since he could see what it truly was and Renathan could not. He finally had to find a way to cross the mystical water. He finally catches his breath and continues on, a near catatonic Renathan on his back. He ambles down the knoll and into the valley-ish area, the last one. They had to cross the water. To the stallion; the water was murky and disgusting; filled with trash and grasping things just below the water. He snorts, he stamps his feet; and then he steps into the fetid river. He wades, and then swims, careful to hold Renathan on his back while being as fast as possible. The things grab at him, and he kicks them away. One nearly drags him under the water; but he is a strong swimmer. He kicks it hard, and then kicks off of the bottom of the fetid river. He then makes his way to the other side, fighting the whole way to keep Renathan's head above the water. Then finally; he drags them out of the river. He crosses the grassy knoll; and finally, they stand right at the gate. AT this moment; his strange humanoid finally wakes up.
Renathan wakes up exhausted; but all of his wounds are gone. Was he asleep the whole time? Just what was going on?

Or maybe the dream was just a dream? The wind howls around the pair for a moment and a cackling is heard behind them before it dies off with the wind...

Renathan had not been planning on coming back during this month; but he knew that he wanted to test out the what all could be found here; and he felt like he hadn't found much of anything the last time he was here. He did not take his stallion equillion this time; it was only himself and his beloved familiar. This was mostly so that it would be easier to flee quickly if the mansion was performing some strange and hateful situations on him. Renathan stands atop that first hillock again; or well, he thinks it is the same hillock. His jibiji hangs from his braids without hurting him of course; she was so darn light! He pets her gently, breathing in. Today; the air felt much less oppressive; so he hoped that they could have a quick jaunt and then leave. He really just wanted to spend some time exploring and with his jibiji at the same time.
