She was sure though, had she actually attacked the being, the little one would have fled instead of trying to become even more bold, and charge at her, not showing the fear that would surely be resting in the critters little heart. Whatever shape or form the actual heart might be.
Glancing at Claw's head, she sees that the red butterfly keeps staying on his head, only fluttering of temporarily when he makes a too quick movement with his body. It seems to her the critter is quite attached to him as well for some reason. His hair is starting to become more pink then white from the dust that seems to get off the critters skin every time it flies up. And Claw doesn't seem to notice it at all.
Suddenly they both hear that all the tree's have their leaf shaped flowers explode, some seem to time it to go off one after the other. Almost a constant stream of confetti falls to the ground and on Claw, the butterfly flutters away from Claw before he could stop it, and follows after it hurriedly in a way that suggests he is getting quite attached to the little being.

Following after the pair, she didn't even try dodging the confetti, just going straight through it, and only sometimes at a particular heavy downpour is she unable to see where Claw is going. She wonders if she should feel jealous for him caring quite a bit for the little butterfly, but every time she thinks too heavily on it, she gets distracted by another heavy explosion and she has to focus on where they are going. For it doesn't seem that they are heading outside of the forest at all.
Finally when the sudden explosions seem to slow down, does she get to catch up with Claw who is starting to run less. He still keeps his sight on the butterfly, but it too seems to calm down from the sudden fright it must have gotten from the explosions. She is just grateful that the confetti disappears the moment it touches either the ground, or another object so it didn't start pilling up on the ground and impede the running. She is sure had it been otherwise, Claw might have tripped at some point surely.

The butterfly only stopped flying once it landed on top a wall only half the size of Claw, the wings opening and closing, while the red dust trail is lessening. She didn't focus her sight much on the pair when Claw came closer, her eyes instead straying to a starry cloak, tensing slightly as she thinks a person is watching them. A rather strange person with one blue and red glowing eyes. 'We are not alone now.' She hisses in his mind, though its presence still feels odd to her. Too little of a soul in it perhaps to make it easier to strike that person down should they decide to attack. "Hello?" She hears Claw say for the first time in this whole trip outside of the mind, and can't help but to compare it to that of Twilight when he does, noticing rather quickly that the tone is heavier compared to the lighter one he carries when he is a she. Interesting..
The one under the cloak didn't answer them except for a slight buzzing sound, she would have thought it might have been a soft growl, but the tones of it all sound off. Claw as well seems to think that way too, frowning he relaxes his stance slightly, leaving the butterfly's side for the moment in order to get closer to the cloaked being.
Another firefly can be found flitting beneath the cloak; but this one appears to be much quieter for some reason. Well, it still could be used at the well, even if it was suspiciously quiet, right? Another has landed on some sort of stick that is sticking out of a planter across the immediate area. Perhaps it was interested in the strange stick's smell?

When Claw started to get closer to the cloaked person, in his hands still holding the small cage. She tensed slightly, her shadows writhing underneath her as she too slowly creeps forward. Only making sure enough that she is a small distance away from Claw as to not alarm him, but close enough to strike down whatever might be beneath the cloak should that one decide to do something unsavory to him. He might fear her now for what she did, and dislike her perhaps, but that doesn't mean she cares not for him. She feels he is just as much Twilight, as he is Claw, even if he doesn't remember her much right now, it might still come. And if not, then she will make sure to spend more time with him somehow, hopefully that will make it that he starts liking her again for who she is, and not merely tolerating her presence, or keep fearing her.

She sees after a moment of Claw coming closer to it, that something in him starts to ease. Something made him relax, but what? Her eyes narrow as she comes just that bit closer while Claw is occupied, trying to peer inside the cloak where the glowing eyes come from. Only to blink in surprise when more glowing eyes could be seen now. Focusing her attention to it, she tried to sense what exactly she is seeing. The presence still felt too small for how big the cloak is, and very much divided into tiny portions. It would be difficult for her to strike it in one go at the very soul should it be needed, but she prepares herself for it anyway. Energy gathering at the tips of her claws she forms to be larger than normal by thinning out her wings, a small portion of her soul hardens the tips enough in order to make it work.
She startled slightly when she suddenly sees Caw after opening the small cage top, he quickly shoves his hand inside the cloak, retreating only when he got a small glowing.. Insect?
Post by Twilight-Claw on Jun 30, 2018 15:46:37 GMT -6
It is indeed a insect in Claw's hand she notes with surprise, a red glowing one that she had thought might have been a eye. 'Definitely not it seems.' She hears Claw in her mind, his tone carrying hints of amusement and wariness? Yes she supposes it might be a mix of the two. She narrows her eyes further before widening them while looking in his direction, silently acknowledging his response to what she had said earlier to him. Still, she made sure to have the small portion of her soul at the claw tips linger, ready to strike should it be needed, while she watches him pluck out the insects from inside the cloak and drop them one by one into the small cage. Only one escaped his grasp and flies on a stick making blue spark, the noise it makes hardly something she noticed with how soft it is, and the sparks are apparently not harmful to the insect when the little critter stays on the stick even when one spark hits the wings.
Post by Twilight-Claw on Jun 30, 2018 15:46:49 GMT -6
Closing the cage for the moment, she sees Claw slowly approach the stick. Making sure his movements are slow enough to not startle the glowing insect and kneels down when he is within arm's reach. Stretching out his hand, she sees his fingers twitch for only a second, before he quickly uses it to grab a hold of the critter. She felt surprised by that, his motion was just quick enough to grab the critter by the wings when the little one started to fly away, she hadn't expected him to be able to grab a hold of that one just like that. She notes he is quick to open the cage and drop that one with the rest of the critters inside, most of them staying high up on the roof, away from the candle critter who started to coo at them. When he then picked up the sparking stick, she glanced at her surrounding only one time just to make sure no one else was around but them. Only feeling satisfied that aside from the butterfly on the wall, they are still pretty much alone. Shifting the portion of her soul back inside her more than at her claws she felt relieved that no one came out to start attacking them.

Letting her wings grow thicker in shadows once more as her clawed hands thin out, she started following Claw back to the cloak. Noting that he placed the stick and cage on the wall carefully before shrugging off his backpack and first picking up the cloak after making sure it isn't hooked on something that might rip it. She sees him open the bag and first placing the cloak in it, then glancing in the butterfly's direction, hesitating for only a moment. He picks up the cage and places that as well in the bag. Closing it halfway and carefully placing the bag on his back. Making sure not to jostle it for what she assumes is because of the critters he captured and put in there. Only when he picked up the stick that has blue sparks still continuing to go off in a almost endless loop does she notes his eyes kept lingering on the butterfly. Turning her attention to it as well she can't help but wonder why exactly he decided to store away the cage, when one other is still flying free, especially when he sees so attached to it.

Narrowing her eyes at sight, she tries to at least give some small piece of advice that will hopefully make him finally get too a decision, as clearly he is still hesitating about either trying to continue capturing the butterfly, or continuing further into their journey. 'The little one seems to have favored you for a while when the critter lingered in your hair, why not try to tempt it back to your side?.' She made sure at least some of her tone could be seen as curious, but mostly she tries to entice him in it.
To her it is rather amusing to see his hair turn pink from all the red dust the butterfly's wings scatter around him, and surely this might be one of the few times she'd see the hair of her favorite human be so different from the norm it deserves a cackle or two for the looks he might gather around him? She certainly hadn't spotted a human yet with pink hair after all.

She sees him needing to take only one deep breath in, before his face for a lack of a better term, seems to firm up, his mouth at the corners turning grim as he starts coming closer to the butterfly. Only when he is within arm's reach does he stop, staring for a few seconds, then slowly reached out with a open palm. His expression rather focused on the butterfly, and dare she say mesmerized by the sight of it? He didn't seem to notice started creeping much closer than before, only half the length of her body being the distance between them and lets her form linger more in the shade the wall provides her.
She notes that with the hand not carrying the stick, he slowly brings his fingertips closer to the butterfly, seemingly tickling it at the front, and slightly prodding the critter until its tiny legs one by one are holding on more to the fingers then the wall. Claw raised his hand when most of the butterfly's legs where on his fingers, and sees the corners of his mouth go up just enough to form a small smile.

Slowly she sees him turn in her direction, and in response, almost like it might be a flash of lightning she ducks down more into the shade, using it to hide her presence somewhat, or at least enough that she might not end up scaring him for getting too close in his presence. 'We'd better start heading to the kennel, it's almost feeding time now.' She felt like frowning at that slightly, why would he mention that when he uses a hired service for most of the feedings when he is present? Her eyes linger on the butterfly he cradles carefully in his hand, and thinks it might have more to do with securing the butterfly somewhere it can't escape from. Slowly rising out of the shade, she follows after him. The pair stopped only for a few minutes in which Claw successfully tempted the butterfly to stay in his hair and not on his hand.

Yet he gets embarrassed about it when some other person sees it, that is just passing through. It makes her wonder that the stilted and rather awkward on Claw's part of the conversation they had right after was one of the reasons he gave that person a insect from the small cage. As she could clearly hear in his lingering thoughts that he wants to leave even more quickly to be alone somewhere, and was just on the side of polite enough that it is probably not something the other might even have noticed when he looked rather distracted by what was given to him.
The whole time it happened she too felt slightly distracted by both the creature at the person's side, and the person himself. For she hasn't seen a humanoid before that actually carries antlers on the head. She'd only seen the likes of it on the Galabex male's before, and though it might be slightly smaller, it was no less impressive in her eyes as with it, that person is almost a feet taller than Claw.
Post by Twilight-Claw on Jun 30, 2018 15:50:56 GMT -6
The creature as well looked rather interesting in a unexpected way to her, interesting in that she felt herself responding to it for just a short while that they met in trying to appear either bigger then it, or have a portion of her soul close at hand in order to strike should it dare try something. She felt her hackles rise at the sight of the creature, and even if she was unsure why, she knew that the canine is dangerous and a threat to them both instinctively.
The bright sparks coming off the black fur started making her uneasy with it as well. If only she knew why she felt so intimidated in the presence of that creature she might have felt more curious about how the creature did what it did, but she too felt relieved when they left their presence and headed further in the direction of where they think the gate is located.
Another set of things could be found not too far away; the fire sprite was chasing a firefly, around and around in circles. In the center of said circles was a red-colored lantern; perhaps the firefly was mistaking it for a mate? Either way, the fire sprite did not seem to like the tiny blue thing flitting about it's lantern.
Morgan: No one knows yet. But I did want to make it clear that the jar itself isn't used for lotine husbandry in any way. c:
Jun 5, 2020 4:24:19 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: I'm only assuming that it does something similar like a Fungal Beast that infects a Leaf-scatter. (the one with moss and I think it was a pink flower growing on the head.)
Jun 5, 2020 4:18:34 GMT -6
Silver: I'll try it soon and we'll find out!
Jun 5, 2020 4:16:11 GMT -6
Silver: I don't think anyone knows yet!
Jun 5, 2020 4:16:05 GMT -6
Darky: What did the 'infection' do again?
Jun 5, 2020 4:14:43 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for this information, its really useful to know! <3
Jun 5, 2020 4:14:30 GMT -6
Morgan: The lolatic doesn't disappear after one use, and can be reused on the same lotine when it is allowed to 'infect' a lotine- to my knowledge.
Jun 5, 2020 1:41:37 GMT -6
Morgan: The only effect/thing that the jar can be used for is to open up into a lolatic. The jar itself has no use in lotine breedings.
Jun 5, 2020 1:39:52 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: and the jar is then gone, if with the creature I am more guessing with this the creature doesn't disappear and it has unlimited use.
Jun 5, 2020 0:17:55 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Something else I am wondering about with the Lotine breeding is whether one would use the jar the Lolatic comes from in the breeding, or actually the creature itself. I'm assuming with it if its the jar, then it gives people only one shot in a breeding,
Jun 5, 2020 0:16:08 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Then using it in my rps is definitely just for the sake of rp's and not for anything additional.
Jun 5, 2020 0:12:17 GMT -6
Renathan: Fish are unlimited use once bought though. c:
Jun 4, 2020 22:31:17 GMT -6
Renathan: There's no additional effect for adding a fish to a magical berry in a lotine breeding. Magical Berry is kinda it's own thing. Adding a fish for roleplay value shouldn't hurt, but it has no effect when used on a magical berry lotine breeding.
Jun 4, 2020 22:27:14 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: be just for the sake of rp, and perhaps seeing if it might lent a bigger chance to multiple offspring with unique pattern. X3
Jun 4, 2020 15:31:01 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: I think your right on it being unlimited use yeah, although.. *cough* I only found out a couple hours after I started writing that I had yet to buy the fish in question so used the one you could get for free as a replacement, it still was meant to mostly
Jun 4, 2020 15:30:59 GMT -6
Riku: From what I loosely understand about the fish is that it isn't one-use, whereas the berry is. I feel like there wouldn't be any consequence of 'using' the fish...which I'd think just ooc wouldn't be counted for whatever rolls or whatever it is that it uses
Jun 3, 2020 14:14:30 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?
Jun 1, 2020 6:09:21 GMT -6
Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.
Jun 1, 2020 6:02:21 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)
Jun 1, 2020 5:36:49 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: I am still interested in trading it for a green drake.
