Jack and Zsa sat there for awhile, the woman thinking about what she was going to do with this hatchling when she was all grown up. This had been a project she'd been working to for awhile now it seemed, but now that she had her, she didn't know what to do with her. Browns weren't anything special, at least not to most people, but that was alright because they were special to her, it seemed. Giving a little chuckle, she realized she really hadn't done anything with Browns unless it was to lead to Zsa's creation in some way. That was fine though, a lot of people had Browns they worked with, and considering they were now sterile, Jack just didn't know what to think about things, she figured. Jack pushed her hair back with a bit of a sigh, wondering what to do with things right now, realizing it wasn't going to end well.

Zsa sat there and gnawed on the leash a little, looking for a chance to get away. Sure her mother trusted the woman in a "she trained me so I need to pay attention" sort of way, but that didn't mean much to the hatchling, the woman had to prove herself to her if they were going to do anything together. She was already acting like a fully grown, unbroken Hen, and Jack knew it was going to be iffy on whether or not they could get this done without any bloodshed. That was the worst part, but she had heard the Mansion was giving up more and more of it's secrets lately, so she had wanted to bring her hatchling here to see if she could do anything about that. The more she found, the happier she was going to be she figured, and it wasn't like it was going to hurt to find more of the same stuff.

All she could do was hope things would be better in the long run and see if she could do anything about it at the moment. Zsa had to be trained at some point of course, but she wasn't sure when that was going to be. She also hoped that when she was eventually broken, it would make her a little more compliant, but she didn't have high hopes for that. She would probably still be a little hellfire but listen to her a little bit anyway. Jack sighed and stood up, helping herself up with the railing of the steps and looked out across the yard of the Mansion. May was an interesting month to be sure, filled with dreams and nightmares in the waking world, she wondered if it would be worth it. At the same time, she wouldn't mind one of those dragons she'd heard existed this month...

Two evil-looking apparitions come from opposite ends of the area, one from one direction and another from the other! Maybe they aren't all bad; maybe they're just drawn that way?

Jack was already pretty sure this was a bad idea. She had brought Given to the Mansion and was hoping she wouldn't regret it too much, but at least they could stay outside if inside was too small for him to get through the door and all that, and he didn't know how to fly yet so it's not like he could really run off too well at this point. She sighed a little and looked at him, bright green with flecks of pink on his wings, standing there in the sun. They had just come from the docks, she wanted a change of scenery for a little while and all that, and it seemed like here would be the best place to be at the moment. She was still in a swimming top and jeans with bare feet, her tanned skin glistening in the sun a bit. It was going to be good, she had to convince herself of that.

It wasn't like they didn't have other things to do, they did, but that didn't matter at the moment. Given needed a little more experience with life at the moment, and so she had brought him here before they continued their training. Jack just didn't know what to train next, but the next list wasn't out just yet, and that was fine, she had some time. At least he was a decent mount now, though she didn't think riding him on land was the best idea, he tended to crawl than walk upright. Whatever the case, that was fine, she figured with a bit of a smile. As long as she had a mount with her most of the time, then things would be good, though she didn't have a hard time walking anymore, she figured. Ah well, it was going to be alright, she could be lazy sometimes if she wanted to be, right?

Jack glanced over at Given and patted him on the side before she pushed open the gate to the Mansion grounds and looked around. It was chaotic, things were running around, trying to chase each other, some of them alive, some of them had to be alive, but she didn't think they should be at the moment. She raised an eyebrow and hoped that she could find a few things at least to carry around with her, she had her bag with her at the moment at least, and hopefully Given could take a little extra weight as time went on. Sure she hadn't taught him how to carry a load, but that was fine, it wouldn't matter that much, it wasn't like things would weigh a ton around here from what she gathered. Jack pushed a hand through her hair before tying it back again, she didn't know where to start just yet.

Given was bored, though the colors and brightness kept his attention a little bit. Things would be fine, at least he wasn't spooking even though he was a little tense. The woman was around though, and he had to protect her at all costs, even though he didn't know how to fight. Well, he did, but he hadn't been trained the commands for them, he could just... do them if he wanted to. That was the dangerous thing, Jack thought for a moment, and she hoped that things would go well for the both of them while they were in the Mansion. Nothing would get in their way while they were hunting at least, and she hoped that they would find a decent amount of stuff as time went on in the place. At least there were several things to find, and she thought she spotted a Caterfly or two hanging around as well.

Jack finally shrugged and took the reins that were currently on the Wiurn and had him follow her around. She didn't want him to spook, she could tell he was a little tense and all that, so she didn't want him to run off. It wasn't like he was very fast on land though, his real speed was in the air and water, and that was fine. Jack just hoped he would be alright with all of the fireworks going off. Even though it was daytime, the fireworks were going off, making popping noises and exploding pretty close to them. For the first time ever, she wished she had trained him to accept loud noises, but this should be fine, he was okay, just moving a little close to her as they walked. She didn't know what to expect from this month's Mansion, and that was fine as well, as long as she got something.

Stretching her shoulders out, the woman glanced down into her bag and noticed the jar that was there. She smiled a little at it and patted it with her free hand, the other hand holding the reins to Given's bridle. Jack didn't know what she was expecting from the Mansion, but she figured there would be bugs, she thought fireflies lived in the Mansion this time of year at least, and she would be ready for them no matter what. The woman wasn't sure what to do with them, but at least she had a jar to hold them in, she figured. She glanced around and thought she spotted a few things, but she wasn't entirely sure at this point. Glancing over at the Wiurn to make sure he was doing alright, she wondered if it was a mistake to bring him and not a different animal at this point. Ah well... too late now.

Jack smiled as a few bugs flew by and held out her hand to see if some of them might land. Given sniffed at her hand and she gently pushed him away so he wouldn't scare them off until a yellow butterfly lighted on her finger and started to move up her arm a little. Chuckling, she let it wander for a little bit before she plucked it off of her arm and put it into one of the jars she had brought with her. She was almost guaranteed to find a butterfly every year she figured, so she had brought at least two jars, though she now wondered if she should bring more of them from now on. What if she found something on fire anyway? Given sniffed at the jar as she put it back into her bag and she patted him on the nose. He was a good boy, if a pain in the ass, but he was hers.

Nothing was going to catch her off guard, or at least she hoped they wouldn't catch her off guard, the chaos was a bit much though, she figured, and she hoped she wouldn't be caught off guard. She scratched her side for a moment and then led Given a little further onto the grounds. She might go up on the front porch, but not him, and honestly, that was fine by her. Part of her wondered if he was cut out for this month's Mansion, he seemed to fit right in sometimes. Honestly at least his colors seemed to be a bit chaotic and fit in with the fireworks going off around them. She was sure it was going to be pretty when the sun set and night arose, but for now it was just a bunch of noise and nothing else. Jack smiled around her, a hand on the Wiurn, and she hoped things would go well.

Given wasn't sure what to do with things at the moment, but that was alright, as long as the woman was with him then he would be fine he figured. Jack led him around for a moment before she stumbled across something stuck in the ground. The woman brightened up a little bit and then plucked it from the ground, it was a white sparkler, pretty and sparkly, and she blew it out, but it didn't go out at all. Frowning, she touched the sparkler and found it wasn't even hot! Giving a bit of a laugh, she put it into her bag, as long as it didn't burn a hole in her bag then things would be fine she figured for a moment. Nothing was going to go wrong, she would be fine, and she hoped that things would continue this way as long as time went on in the Mansion this time.

If the sparkler didn't go out, at least it wasn't hot enough to burn through her messenger bag. That was enough for her she figured with a little smile as she worked with it a little bit. Jack didn't know what to do with it, but at least it wasn't going to burn it, and she was free to look for more things with her Wiurn. Sure he wasn't a baby, he was an adult, but he wasn't huge like the old Wiurn were. That was definitely a plus she figured with a little chuckle as she looked at him sniffing at a nearby tree. Maybe things would go well for them eventually, but she wasn't sure when, and that was fine by her. Jack just hoped they could start training soon enough at the same time, hoping they could get enough experience to train some tougher things when the challenges came up.
