There were so many pale cherries up in that tree; all golden and pink. He really did like those colors... Maybe they could be traded for something else quite nice? That was the hope, anyway. He still needed to be able to get enough of a crop to be able to trade for at least seven sets of healing berries. That was what he was planning to do, and maybe if that tree just so happened to manage to give him the biggest crop ever, he wouldn't have to worry about continuing to picking stuff in the area around here. Renathan thought about this as he slowly stood up and began moving over them. He still didn't want to aggravate the dragon oak, but he still didn't want to make their little dispute here any worse. However, he was sure that the creature was not quite as aggravated as it had been previously.

Faebuck seemed to be less attacking and aggressive, but she certainly wasn't ready to have her acorn removed yet. Renathan wondered if that was something that even happened; did people pluck the acorns more often, or were they simply found more often? He hated not knowing absolutely everything about the entire thing, anyway. Renathan liked to know all of the information possible to be able to take care of his creatures, so he really hated that this was an area of his knowledge that could be quite bad since this month was the month that dragon oaks tended to drop their acorns anyway, and he also knew that if he didn't manage to get this fixed up that he might not have another chance at it for the next year; which would suck. He wondered how many acorns they made during this time of year; most of the information he had found made it sound like one.

Well, for now anyway, Renathan had to worry about those cherries more, and less about the strange creature's ability to produce an acorn or not. Those cherries wouldn't be there forever, after all! The russet mammalian walked over to the cherry tree very much slowly. The dragon oak walked over with him, quietly, very watchful, following at the same distance each time. She was not attacking him or anything, however, he was not going to take that for granted because the creatures were always little shocking. Sometimes, the whole entire thing with creatures was more complex than usual. He wasn't sure if this was more of a dragon thing or more of a plant thing, but ah well. Renathan raised up to try to reach a few of the cherries once he finally backed up to be under the tree, but they were quite high up! How was he supposed to reach up to get those?

Renathan took a moment to glance up at the cherry tree, squinting at it in an attempt to figure out whether or not he was going to have to actually climb up there to get the cherries or not. Thankfully, the dragon oak was more interested in watching what he was doing than actually trying to toast and roast him up or whatever. Renathan hadn't seen her breathe fire or anything yet anyway, so he had no idea what to think about it. Perhaps she couldn't actually burn anything at all, and it was simply a fire bite? Renathan knew that some creatures had more abilities than others, so hopefully that was the case here. She wasn't going to be a battle pet, after all. Renathan finally sighs and decides that he is going to have to actually climb the cherry tree in order to get to the cherries, so he began looking for a lower hanging branch to hold onto.

Renathan figured that as long as he managed to get enough of the gardening items for the trades, he might need to actually give the garden a bit of a break for a bit to allow the dragon oak to produce it's acorn. Perhaps the issue with this was that Renathan had been pestering the creature for so long anyway? He had no idea what the case was, perhaps he needed to do more research on the plant creatures before continuing to pester them in such a way. Plus, there needed to be time for the fertilizers to really begin to take effect, right? Speaking of that, Renathan had been so distracted by the aggressive creature that he had forgotten to do that this time. The russet mammalian looks up at the tree quietly, and then finds a good branch. Pretty soon Renathan would begin spreading more of the fertilizers he head bought, but for now he needed to get those cherries.

A blue sarane fruit could be found near the tree, as well as a poor wilted flower at its base.

So far, Renathan's luck with the dragonoak seemed to be quite poor; first she was aggressive and now she didn't seem interested in warming up to him much more than just not attacking him. Perhaps he should have spent more time personally around her before now? He doubted that would have helped too much, especially since she may not have an acorn at all. How young was Faebuck, again? Renathan wondered this as he climbed up the cherry tree, searching for those cherries. He could tell that this was going to take a lot more work than expected, because the cherries were pretty spread out now that he actually got a good look at them. He stared down at the dragonoak, Faebuck was now looking up at him with those amber eyes he saw so commonly on dragon-like beasts for some reason. Renathan shook his head at her, knowing that it was going to be a long while before she gave up her acorn, if she did have one.

Renathan wasn't sure what he'd do with an acorn, anyway. He really didn't know the slightest thing about potions; he was sure that he could learn if there was any kind of information out there for them, but sadly, he had yet to find any information. So what was the acorn useful for, anyway? He'd heard that it was called a magical acorn, but was it like the healing berries? Renathan at least did not think so at all. Instead, he figured that it would also be good for a trade for something that he could use, like the healing berry sets that he wanted to trade for anyway. He wondered also if he should hold back a bit and wait to see if there were any mansion items... He had quite a few himself, but didn't really have anything he wanted at the moment. Hmm, what a conundrum! Renathan would have to think some more on it...

Renathan was honestly kind of enjoying being up in the cherry tree. The fruits were unripe, and there were still flowers on it, so Renathan could smell the glorious scent of cherry blossoms all around. It was honestly so pleasing to smell. Renathan also was a halfway decent tree climber, even if he wasn't exactly used to doing this anymore. There weren't a whole lot of interesting trees in pethia, not like the twisting and ancient ones he had in his homeland, anyway. But the russet mammalian was not up here, dangling his tails in a tree, in order to simply smell the flowers, though he loved to take time to do such things. He was up here to pick cherries, and there were sure a lot of them to pick from! Renathan scooted along the branch, keeping his eyes on the prizes, so to speak, at the end of the branch as he was watched by the dragonoak below.

The dragonoak was curious, curious enough to continue watching him despite now being technically free of his presence and able to do whatever she wanted now. She was very territorial and loved her area, so it was a bit confusing to have someone traipsing around in it all the time. However, she was beginning to realize that he wasn't much of a threat and would probably not even disturb her beloved mushrooms. Now, she was just wondering what he was doing in the tree, exactly. Renathan continued to scoot out on the branch until it became a bit too thin for his weight, and then carefully leaned out to try to get the cherries that he had seen and had been quite after earlier. The branch swayed a bit, but thankfully did not crack as he moved forward one bit at a time, finally closing his fingers around one of the pairs of unripe cherries.

A lot of things had happened since Renathan was here last; and he wasn't sure what to think about some of it. Renathan had so many critters that needed to be brought here to live, and he finally started working on it slowly that morning, bringing in the new pachee he'd bought from Jack first, so that it had time to hide before he began bringing in the other critters. Renathan brought the little grey creature with the bright colored wings (he loved those) to the garden gate and opened it up, let himself in, and closed it. He walked out to the gazebo, which was where he preferred to bring the pachee first; and already another pachee was here to greet him; the little female, Kopi. They both had antlers, so Renathan was sure that they were probably curious about that. Or perhaps Kopi was just curious about his wings, who knew.

The garden was really getting overgrown; Renathan noticed that as he glanced around before setting the new pachee (October) down onto the grass. Immediately the grey creature rushed over to the female checking her out. Renathan had been putting a supplement in Kopi's food to keep her from wanting to breed until he took her off of it, so that there weren't any unwanted babies around here until he was ready to have more, so he wasn't too worried about housing them together. Some people kept them separate, but since he didn't have any more females, he didn't want Kopi to be lonely. Renathan took a moment to make sure that they were going to play nice, and then sighed. He had a lot of worked that he needed to do today; this was going to be a mess. Ah well; he needed to get the creatures here first and then work on all of the overgrowth.

The next one that was going to be staying here was a gift from Jack; she wasn't technically a plant creature, having been merely a crossbreed from two creatures that had plants on them, but she practically screamed plant creature. Since one creature was generally allowed to live in a garden or at least visit that wasn't a plant creature at a time, Renathan decided to bring Serenity here, since she would be happier being outside near plants than at his farm, he felt. So Renathan left the garden, making sure to close the gate, and came back not five minutes later, leading Serenity into the garden. As soon as he let her off of the lead, she rushed away into the garden, galloping the whole way. Renathan did think she was beautiful, but didn't have a whole lot of plans for her currently. She'd be happier here, he was sure.

Now that Serenity was off exploring the garden somewhere, probably just fine, Renathan glanced around to see if he could sight any of the pachee. Ah; it would seem that Kopi and October had made their-selves scarce, perhaps she was showing off the rest of the pachee to him? Hopefully they would all get along, there were so many of them for sure, and it had to be a good thing to have such a large group to play with. He looked around to see if any of the other critters were around, and Renathan only found Oddball sleeping on the gazebo, and the Honeybuns hanging out in their nest on the gazebo as well. Ah, well, at least they were doing fine? Renathan had found them hanging out around here at first, so it didn't seem right to get rid of them. Renathan needed to go get the final addition... [4]
