Lotine were generally shy creatures, and Kasuna was no exception. She'd probably slip right back into the water if she even felt slightly threatened, which would make trying to catch her quite difficult. Lotine were fast in the water, and there was no way Nerius would be able to catch her one the lotine made it to the water. She already had, for that matter, he could see something moving around under the water, and the only thing he had in his garden that was that size and shape was Kasuna.
Well, it wasn't like he had to start with the lotine, he'd worry about her later, and for now, having put on his gloves, was going to grab the bellaroxi. He opened a carrier, setting it on its end so the little critters couldn't just run out. They didn't seem bothered by him, and the purple one was sunning herself on top of the overturned planter.

Nerius made sure his shadow wouldn't reach the bellaroxi first, warning her off, and grabbed! The bellaroxi wasn't expecting that, and squeaked as his fingers closed around it. He was careful not to squeeze to hard to injure the small critter, but to be firm enough that she couldn't wiggle away. The bellaroxi was not happy about being grabbed, and tried to sting him with her tail, but the thick garden gloves did their job, and kept Nerius safe from the unhappy critter's venom.
Still, he didn't want to stress her out any more than necessary, and quickly set her in the upturned carrier. One down, three more to go. The others weren't nearly as obvious, and it looked like he'd best start removing some of the decor inside. Nerius decided to check under the overturned planter first, it had been set that way to give the bellaroxi a place to hide, after all.

Sure enough, the gold one had been hiding underneath, and froze when his hide was suddenly removed. Nerius wasted no time in grabbing him, and managed to catch the little critter before he could bolt. Though startled, the bellaroxi quickly recovered, and like the other, started trying to sting Nerius with his tail. He quickly added the gold to the carrier with the purple, glad that he'd chosen to wear gloves for this. Sure, the venom wouldn't be deadly to something his size, but it still wouldn't be pleasant.
After double checking to make sure there were no other bellaroxi hiding in the planter, he set it down outside the tub, and went back to looking for the others. He checked the water dish next, nothing in it for a drink, then lifted it up, nothing but a few bugs hiding underneath either. Careful not to spill the water, he set it down next to the empty pot.

There should have been two more, and his guess what that they were hiding somewhere in the potted plants. The first one he looked through was badly wilted, the branches so bare he doubted anything would be able to hide in it. Nerius checked through it just in case though, and once he was sure there weren't any bellaroxi in it, set it outside the tub.
The next planter had much more life in it, not only was the plant in somewhat better condition, as soon as he started looking through the leaves, the blue bellaroxi jumped out. He'd catch that one in a second, but first he wanted to make sure the other wasn't hiding in there, so he could take it out of the tub. Rustling through the leaves, he didn't find the other bellaroxi in it, but did find a bright orange flower growing in the pot along with the larger plant.

It was pretty enough to keep, and he set the flower in a carrier, deciding to use it as a makeshift harvest basket. He'd brought more than he thought he'd need, even if he hadn't had this in mind for the extras. It worked though, and setting down the planter, he looked back into the tub. The blue bellaroxi hadn't climbed into another planter yet, and Nerius made a grab for him. The critter was already on alert though, and jumped out of the way before he could be grabbed. Nerius grabbed again, missing several times as the bellaroxi scampered around the tub, and knocked over a potted plant in the process.
"Got you!" it took him several tries, but Nerius finally managed to corner the blue bellaroxi, and successfully grabbed him. He wasn't any happier about this than the others had been, and as expected by now, tried to sting Nerius.

The blue was added to the carrier with the rest of the bellaroxi, which were all looking at Nerius with what he could only think was an irritable expression. There was still one more, or should have been, a purple female somewhere in the remaining potted plants. There wasn't a whole lot of places left to hide, so he grabbed a planter, and started looking.
No bellaroxi in that one, just a very large beetle that had probably flown in, so he set it outside of the tub, and looked through the next planter. He'd just pushed a few leaves out of the way when he spotted a bit of purple. Slowly and carefully, so hopefully the bellaroxi wouldn't be startled, he pushed aside leaves until he had a clear shot to grab. Nerius grabbed, and the bellaroxi almost got away, but his second grab caught the critter against a branch.

The bellaroxi squirmed and squeaked, stabbing at him with her tail, but Nerius was able to keep hold long enough to set her in the carrier. That should have been all of them, but there was only one plant left, and he decided to search it just in case. It was empty of critters, and he set it next to the other planters next to the tub, which was now empty save for a layer of dirt at the bottom.
Nerius latched the bellaroxi carrier, making sure there were no places for the little critters to wiggle out, and checked 'bellaroxi' off his list of critters. There were still a lot left to move, though the pachee were at least penned off and wouldn't be hard to find. Other than the bellaroxi he'd just collected, everything else was loose in the garden, and given the state of the fences, he could only hope nothing had escaped.

He'd go over to the pachee pens next, but would collect any other critters if he happened to spot them. Nothing was obviously visible from the old bellaroxi tub, but as he followed the lumpy, overgrown path to the pachee pens, something rustled in the tall grass to the side. He wasn't sure which it was until it hissed angrily. Ah, Jumanji. Sure enough, the whiptail popped out of the grass a few seconds later, though seemed to calm a little on reconsigning him... somehow. She somehow wasn't blind, even though she didn't have any visible eyes.
She at least didn't completely hate him, despite her bad attitude, and he figured the easiest way would be to put a lead on the vinesnatcher before attempting to move her to one of the larger crates. She didn't like having a collar put on, but Nerius was able to distract her with meat treats long enough to get it in place.

The larger crates were still back by the entrance, so he doubled back with the whiptail, luring her along with treats whenever she got too uncooperative. They also served quite well for getting her in the crate, all he had to do was toss a few chunks in the back, and she went right in. While she was distracted, Nerius disconnected the leash, and closed and latched the crate.
He'd just finished wrangling the whiptail when he noticed a long green fruit peeking out the mess of a large overgrown bush. It wasn't in very good condition, but there were a few other fruits, and though most were just as unimpressive, he was able to find one worth keeping. Nerius plucked the dragon's love from the branch, and realized he'd left his 'harvest basket' (really a small pet carrier), by the old bellaroxi tub. He went and retrieved it, setting the fruit next to the flower.

He had really come here to pick up his pets, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to collect what meager produce he could. The work he'd done on the garden had mostly been to get it remotely navigable, and not like slogging through a jungle. Produce had been planted at some point before he acquired it, so it wasn't barren, but it certainly hadn't been kept up, and the produce wasn't all in the best condition.
Pets were still his priority, but Nerius kept his eyes open for both as he made his way over to the pachee pens. He spotted something, but the lavender would have been hard to miss even if he hadn't been looking, and the rainbow colors stuck out from the rest of the foliage. He collected a few sprigs, before continuing on. The pachee pens were slightly better than the bellaroxi tub, entirely because Nerius had done some work on them himself.

The shed had come with the plot, and while it wasn't as rundown as the other one on the property had been, it was still in rough shape. Nerius had patched up any major holes, and added a top netting over the outside fencing, having added some flight capable pachee to his collection. They had to be kept separate, due to the restrictions on breeding, reasonable, but a nuisance in such a rough garden.
Nerius was about to open the shed when he noticed the flower growing next to it. It looked rather poisonous, and he didn't really want it near where he'd be moving pachee, and, thankful he was still wearing gloves, plucked the noxious looking flower, and set it in the grate of the carrier, keeping it away from the other produce. After a quick check, there didn't appear to be anything else toxic outside the shed, so he opened the door and headed in.

The interior of the shed was divided in two, one half for the male pachee, the other for the female. One of the males, a purply blue fellow he'd named Sigal was already inside, and had wandered up to him curiously, so Nerius decided to start with the males. After shutting the main door to keep any pachee from escaping, he opened the screen door that led to the male side.
Pachee, especially ones that were somewhat used to him, were much less skittish than bellaroxi, and he was able to easily pick up Sigal and set him in a carrier. He'd brought what should have been enough inside, stacked inside each other. Once the purple male was securely in a carrier, Nerius grabbed four more and headed into the yard area. He easily counted four more pachee, all preferring to be outside, rather than in the old shed, and he couldn't blame them.
