Thanks to Fiera Ferella for remaking the files, they look amazing and there's a few surprises in this species now!
A few things have changed to the system, and here are some highlights: - Sarane have permanent dominance - Only 1 dominance breeding is allowed per season, unless you're the winner of the tournament, in which case you have 2 breedings that season - The Gauntlet now has NPC Drakes to fight if you can't find anyone else to fight. In order to gain dominance, you must fight a Drake at least 1 Tier above yours, in the case of T3 Drakes and Hens, you will be fighting a T3. Sarane no longer have to fight in a tournament to become dominant. - Inbreeding is allowed! As long as they are at least 3 generations removed, they can be bred together - There will be roughly 2 Drake Tournaments and 1 Hen Tournament per year. Drakes cannot enter Hen tournaments, but Hens can enter Drake tournaments - Paid breedings are making a comeback! A few conditions apply, and this feature is not ready yet. However, offspring will always be T1, and the Sarane being bred are required to have 15 TP worth of training before being bred. - Be on the look out for quests and hidden eggs! Each new batch of eggs will be announced, and you can only claim one egg in each batch. - Eggs are being sold in the Contest Hall and Fighting Pit! They have a 6 month buying cooldown.
Any currently dominant Sarane can be bred for free once in order to make up for their infertility, please have your orders in to Jack before June 1 in order to receive your offspring. There will be an order form up soon.
We hope you enjoy this update as much as we enjoyed creating it for you!

Quick update to questing. Starting next month (June), each post you make while roleplaying your quest should be numbered! Questing is still intended to be a storytelling adventure, but numbering your posts really helps the mods figure out where they last left off in reading your story. The rule doesn't apply to the current May quest.
Thank you all, and good luck on your questing adventures!
All items have been saved, uploaded, and entered into where they are put, this marks the total end to needing new items, please say thank you when you see Darky! I know I've said it. It was a lot of work, but she did a great job, and I know I'm grateful for the help.
Sorry for the influx of updates today, but this one requires a post of it's own.
Hidden Crossroads is now a Mature Rating site!
Per the rules of the site:
3. Mature Rating This site began as a PG-13 rating, but has evolved into a more mature area. This means anything goes, sex, violence, mature content, and anything else that can be thought of under this label. Please remember to put a tag in your thread name ( (S) (V) (M) and so on), along with a warning in your first post of the thread as to what people may expect in your writing. HOWEVER, training is still under the PG-13 rule, as it still needs to be read by the staff. If someone asks you to stop something, or if they don't wish to allow it in one of their threads, please be mindful, and please be polite. If this cannot be handled maturely, it will be reduced to PG-13 once more.
Please follow the rules at all times and be mindful of what other people are asking for in their roleplays. If this becomes an issue, the Mature Rating will be taken back to PG-13.
Starting now, quests have 3 difficulties, Easy, Medium, and Hard. Easy quests need 10 posts, Medium need 20, and Hard need 30, they will no longer be rolled traditionally.
Also starting now, you can redo past quests! Any quest previous to this month will not give you QP, just a reward, and you can't have already completed the quest successfully. You can do as many quests as you would like during the month, but you MUST complete one before moving on to the next.
If you happen to visit the Zoological Imports shop, you might notice Mavrik has acquired new, interesting stock.... for a price, of course!! Don't worry, these won't be disappearing any time soon. But they do have a limit! One per character. If you have one already, enjoy your bond with this precious being!
If I had a heart, I could love you, If I had a voice, I would sing. After the night when I wake up, I'll see what tomorrow brings.

Xentus: Contacted cubeupload about this and another issue I'd been having, turns out the image not updating may be a cloudflare issue. But, the server is getting an update hopefully over the weekend that'll resolve this

Morgan: Certainly, I appreciate it! I'm sure it is probably something my computer is doing, it will probably fix itself, but if it doesn't I'll be sure to get ahold of you. :3

Morgan: Oh, neat! It is really cool to see the first draft. It really helps seeing the initial thoughts- I do love how he came out even more knowing the starting steps of the journey.

Morgan: Thank you, again. I know it was a lot of hard work to bring him to life.
Sept 30, 2020 23:46:58 GMT -6
Morgan: You did a great job. c: I love how his face looks, and that wing aura is probably my favorite thing about him. I've kinda associated constellation-y stuff with Morgan's magic before I even had Morgan onsite, and it really ties them together.
Sept 30, 2020 23:46:37 GMT -6
Xentus: I was afraid I didn't apply his concepts very well actually heh. The mask inspired his markings and his face shape vaguely. If you look closely at his wing arua, there's little constellations

Morgan: I'm sorry I probably didn't give the easiest concept/idea/body type to image combo, but you really, really knocked it out of the park and he came out even better than hoped. <3
Sept 30, 2020 23:34:50 GMT -6
Xentus: I'm so relieved <3 I'm really happy with how he turned out
Sept 30, 2020 23:33:01 GMT -6
Morgan: The more I look at it the more I love him. c: His lightning-bolt shaped horns are awesome.
Sept 30, 2020 23:28:40 GMT -6
Morgan: First off- Thank you! -wibble- Second off: OH MY GAWSH. I love how he turned out- positively gorgeous!
