The botany class was really heating up now, and Morgan was barely able to keep up enough to be able to do anything that they actually wanted to be able to do! Thankfully, the dreams were not quite as bad as they had been, though Morgan still managed to wake up in a cold sweat every now and again. Morgan was scrambling to do all the things they wanted to finish up, Waar's physical rehabilitation was doing... Poorly at best, but Morgan was pushing with it. The tat-lungs were slowly beginning to pick up the very basics of communications, but they were going lazily with it thusfar, it would be a long time going, especially since Morgan was very busy now otherwise. Nico was going to begin the last legs of training for contests not too long from now, and Morgan was just... Tired. They felt like something was waiting to happen, but they couldn't quite figure out why.

Of course it wasn't uncommon for Morgan to have some days being 'much worse' than others. They felt like they were missing something a lot of times.
One morning, Morgan wakes up and yawns, stretching. It was way too early, the sky not even beginning to light up with the ascent of the sun. The light coming in through the window was a spotty lavender with stars peeking out for a veil of clouds only every now and again. Morgan stared out at it for a moment, and then glanced over at the sleeping Nico in his little barrel bed. There was no point in waking up the poor beastie just because Morgan was feeling funky this morning, so Morgan quickly changed out of their pajamas and into regular clothes in silence before closing the door and trotting down the stairs to go to the first level of the mansion that had been their home their whole life.

Morgan stood at the bottom of the stairs for a moment before heading over to the small shrine in the main living room. They hadn't managed to put shoes on; only socks, so their bare feet felt a bit slippery against the polished floors of their mansion. They leaned forward and looked over at their father's picture, the one that had been his favorite. He was trying to look 'cool', Morgan could remember the moment but only barely, they were trying to mock-up a really neat (trite really) comic book Morgan had been reading at the time. However, Morgan's dad couldn't really hide his fondness for the tiny (weaker) Morgan. The bespectacled human sometimes had these moments where this sort of captivated them. It was strange, after all this time how much this still effected them. After a moment of standing there in the low light of early morning in the main hall, Morgan scrambled off to go find something to eat.

Morgan really did try not to think about it too much, but it was hard to do. The human cooked breakfast, and opened up their information pad to check and see what the itinerary for the day was going to be. These quiet moments in the morning were really enjoyable for Morgan, they wouldn't give them up for the world. They scrolled down the list of times and things to do, and ate their breakfast quietly. After making sure they had the entire day all planned out in their mind, they got ready to begin doing the feeding and visiting they always did in the morning.

After all of the chores were done that morning (at least the ones Morgan did theirself, of course the cleaning was not really their job) Morgan settled down in the study, and opened up the class on their information pad. They were looking forward to getting this over-with.

Class that day was... Interesting to say the least. Morgan's next assignment was going to require them to go out to the Canyon of Evelon to go get a very rare plant for use in their final. At first, Morgan was frustrated and irate. They considered paying someone to go out and get the thing, but that would probably be a waste of both time and resources. Morgan knew their way around the canyon at least partially. When they were a teen, they did manage to help break Bowser out of the Rookery (that was what Bowser had called the, well, absolute scam Bowser ran on Morgan originally) and then they had stopped going down there whenever Bowser had decided abruptly to move out and have his own family (that... didn't sound like a normal draconic arrangement, but Morgan was fine with it of course) and of course Morgan was too embarrassed to bother him anymore.
