Renathan was at the second-to-last store finally, and he was exhausted. There had been so much shopping lately, that he was ready to get this mostly done! Renathan shows up to the cart again, this was the third trip he had made here in a couple of years that he had lived in the labs, but he knew that this particular shopkeeper would remember him. He walks to the cart, remembering the first trip here; he hadn't even known common yet. He figured that it would finally be quite okay to speak this time. He steps within a polite range of the cart and then lowers his head to the individual he knew would be there; his antlers tipped down in a polite stance. "Greetings, I am here to buy from your splendid stock again, sir." This was the first time he had spoken while coming here, right? Renathan chuckled beneath his breath and beneath the mask. Perhaps it would be shocking? He sure hoped not, this man seemed like he'd done quite a bit of traveling, or at least trading with those that did. That was what Renathan thought, anyway.

Alan smiled his little half smile at the man before him. Talking huh? Well, there was a first for everything he suspected. "Of course! What would you like today?" he asked, still smiling a little bit, crooked as ever.
Renathan grinned beneath the mask. This individual was quite polite despite their more back-alley dealings, and he had always found that somewhat perplexing and quite nice. He was very glad to see that the shop-keeper was not going to heckle him for speaking finally, and he was quite relieved. "I need both a charm and an amulet of Underwater travel, both in copper if you have it." He said, happily. "I'd also like to buy two light injections today." He'd bought so many injections from this guy, it was probably quite normal at this point, the usual and all. "Do you happen to have a Collar of Speech at the moment?" He asked, hopefully. Sometimes the cart was out of these, but he thought he'd ask anyway. They were a nice implement, but this bunch of stuff wasn't for him today, anyway. Renathan was still on a shop run for someone else. At least he was making quite a few credits, right?
Ah, more injections. It seemed this man bought nothing but injections sometimes. But there were other things as well, and as the man spoke he took them from behind his cart, placing them on top of it so he could view them. Two copper pieces and two light injections, but no collar. "I don't have a collar today, but try back next month," Alan told him, tipping his head to the side with his crooked smile still in place, "Is there anything else you would like?"
Renathan nodded. Sometimes they didn't have some stock, and sure, there were plenty of other things to buy, but he didn't really use RoTs for most of his pets, couldn't dream of using a Ribbon of empathy (he already had enough of those super strong emotional connections that really distracted him), and well, there really wasn't a whole lot else? He already had a collar of bonding, which he was considering selling because he didn't really have any actual aquatic animals to transport, or anything like that, so he couldn't think of a practical purpose. Renathan had already bought plenty of portstones in the past, too. "Thank you, sir! That will be all today, though I'll be sure to be back, of course." Renathan nodded, lowering his antlers again, and pulled his little pouch out, ready to remove the payment as soon as possible. He knew that he certainly had enough, and that it would be a large required payment. Things here were quite high costing, and very good quality.

"Oh of course, and I look forward to your return. 1550 credits for this trip, please," Alan told him, pointing at the counter of the little cart as he bagged up the four items. He would have to look into getting a collar for him when he came again.
Renathan nodded, of course, and then began to remove the credits from the pouch. "Certainly sir, thank you." He tried to remain polite at all times with the shop keepers, but this one had always made him a bit nervous; perhaps it was the dangerous look that the man often had on his face, some type of grin; or maybe it was the area that he decided to set up his shop. Not just anyone walked around this area with tons of stock or credits; and Renathan certainly tried to keep his hid. Then again, someone would have to be pretty dang stupid to attack a fire elemental, and it was easy to tell that something was 'up' with Renathan. He pulls the larger coin denominations out and quickly counts them out onto the counter, sliding them over to the strangely posh man. "Here you are, thank you for doing business sir." Only after paying and the amount being accepted did he reach out discretely for the bags, knowing that he would have to be careful on the way back home.
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?

Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.
Jun 1, 2020 6:02:21 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)

Twilight-Claw: I am still interested in trading it for a green drake.

Ridelys: If you are still interested in a trade twilight, for your fidelity result, let me know.

Riku: I got three pet levels and 15c out of it. <3 And all the necessary posts for my job salary form.

Riku: In mine my crossbreed used foxfire to burn it - but then it used incendiary illusion, which was extra scary because my cross is a plant pet with thick fur. It used the distraction to escape. I’m proud of it, and it’s okay that I won’t finish this month.

Renathan: *But of course, the RNG was not having that. / In Morgan's story, the Nyssa was a real thing, so I wanted to have two different situations for the variety.
May 31, 2020 18:15:27 GMT -6
Renathan: Yeah, the 'finished the story but the RNGods are being a butt' thing is a rather unfortunate situation to be in. I had already decided that in Ren's story, the elderly woman had lied about the nyssa and just wanted someone to talk to*
May 31, 2020 18:14:49 GMT -6
Riku: That makes sense. I've considered that before. -nod- I hope your non-hxr life is going smoothly.

Haix: Just quitting the job. Don't believe I'll be making the ten posts required per month any time soon. XD
May 31, 2020 16:34:01 GMT -6
Riku: Note to haix, I believe you can post the new application form at the same time as the quitting form. Unless you are simply taking an overall break from the job system.

Fiera Ferella: even AT the gardens yet. XD It sucks when you've finished writing your story and haven't gotten a success, because then its like "well... now what?" XD
May 31, 2020 15:51:47 GMT -6
Fiera Ferella: ive found that when there's a quest that might take longer like this, its a good idea to try and space out the story beats to try and roll a success before i get to the meat of the story. XD Like, by the time i was 5 posts in my character wasn't
