Jack was still sleeping when the Thundergug woke up. He didn’t want to disturb her, so he laid there for awhile longer, even though he desperately wanted to keep training again so he could be done that much sooner. He snorted a little and nosed at her short brown hair as he watched her, but that woke her up a bit and she smiled at him, patting him on the nose as she thanked him for waking him up. It wasn’t like they didn’t need to be working anyway. Jack pushed off of him to stand up and then watched as he struggled to his feet for a moment before wrapping the new wrap around one of his back legs. There was just one more wrap to take a look at before she was completely done, but then she would probably inspect the stopwatch and the water, just in case, she didn’t want either of those to go bad either. She watched as Kro stepped under the waterfall again, and she turned it up a little once more just to see what he could handle. After she was made aware that he would be fine for a little while, she nodded, turned around, and then started to inspect the last of the wraps. It was probably a good thing he couldn’t see her face, because she was chuckling a little at him, at his enthusiasm for training, but she was also sure he could feel it over their link as well. Oh well, she couldn’t hide everything forever and all that she figured with another little chuckle. The last wrap looked pretty good so far, in fact it was the least used looking wrap she had at the moment, aside from the new one now, she figured. She just had to get it on Kro when he came out to take a break, but those were few and far between at this point, though he was utterly exhausted when he did take a break from training. He’d always been like that though, and she didn’t think he would truly ever stop being like that.
Kro was under the impression they would train until there was nothing left to train anymore, which is what the original plan was of course, and Jack still had a few things she wanted him to learn, she just wasn’t sure when they were going to be able to do that right now. Giving a bit of a shrug, she wondered if she should give Kro an injection, and in that instance, what kind of injection should it be. Psychic? She really couldn’t picture his mentality with that one, and immediately crossed that off the list of injections. Honestly she should really just give him a fire injection and have him breathe fire, but at the same time she just wasn’t sure if that’s what she wanted to do with things right now. She frowned as she watched the Thundergug, he had to have some move in case they came across something ethereal. It only made sense, and she hoped there wouldn’t be one in the tournament, but one never knew when it came to things like that she guessed. Maybe she would give him an injection, but she just wasn’t sure if that’s what she wanted to do. Maybe she would give him something different, but what, exactly? Or maybe she could buy him that extract from the Pit and give him an infectious bite. But then he would have to know how to crunch, which wasn’t that hard to teach or anything at this point. Hmm, she would have to think hard on it and then figure out if she had time before the tournament began. Of course she had time, or at least she thought she would, it started soon enough and who knew when she would be able to get to the store to buy an injection, if she could finally settle on one, that was.
Kro could sense her confusion and asked her about it, only to have her shake her head a little bit. Opening him up to a new element was frightening, she always thought he was more physical than anything else, but if he wound up facing something ethereal he would be way out of his league with that. She chewed on her lip a little and then glanced at him before turning up the water a little again, wrap still in her hands as she chewed on her own lip. It wasn’t like she hadn’t thought of it before, but now it was a little more… worrisome, she figured with a little sigh. Plus she knew someone was training a shadow lurker, which was worrisome as well, considering they were beings made purely of shadow and all that. There was no way he would be able to hit it when he wound up facing that one. Yes, he would need an injection, she just wasn’t sure what injection to give him. If he faced a shadow lurker, maybe a shadow injection would work, but what moves would he inherit anyway? She frowned a little as she watched him struggle under the waterfall, she just didn’t know what to do at the moment and it bothered her quite a bit when it all came down to it. Jack sighed a bit, she needed to pick one soon and then go pick it up if she wanted to get this stuff done, she figured. She shook her head a little bit, she was worrying herself sick a little bit, this wasn’t going to do her any good if she didn’t calm down. It was just so troublesome though, she didn’t know what to do with things at the moment. Jack shook her head, she needed to calm herself somehow, but she just wasn’t sure how, but then Kro came over to her after shaking the water off of himself and then tried to cheer her up a little bit. The woman managed a smile, he could always make her smile.

This wasn’t the first time she had thought about getting Kro an injection, but it was the first time she had seriously thought about giving him an injection. It was odd trying to figure out if that would work or not, and while she couldn’t really see it just yet, she was sure she would be able to see it soon enough. It only mattered if she could really see it when she gave him the injection, she figured as she wrapped the last of the wraps around his last back leg. She chewed on her lip again and shook her head, she just didn’t know, it was a big step and things just weren’t what they were used to being at the moment. Jack sighed a little bit and tried to think things through a little more clearly, she just didn’t know what to do about things just yet of course, but that was fine she figured as she looked around a little bit in the Gym. She gave Kro some of his hay and then settled down in a chair next to the cart so she could watch him as he trained, keeping an eye on the stopwatch. She knew she was going to look it over before he started training again, but that wasn’t going to happen now, they needed to get this done if she was going to give him an injection and all that. Jack knew it was going to happen, and she had a feeling it was going to be fire, but there were so many to choose from she just had to make certain that’s what she really wanted from him. She could imagine him breathing fire, but she could imagine him breathing ice too, but those were a little more expensive she believed, though really not by a whole much at this point. Honestly she cared too much about him sometimes, some people thought it was strange, but it really wasn’t, not to her, she just wanted to make sure she had all the advantages she could when it came to him it seemed.
Jack chewed on her lip some more and then sent Kro to stand under the waterfall again for a little while as she thought about what to do with things. A fire injection would be helpful, she knew it from firsthand experience at this point it seemed for a moment. Jack shrugged her shoulders back to stretch them out a little bit, this was stressful thinking for her. Well, she’d already customized him and made him bigger than other Thundergugs, might as well inject him too. Grinning, she realized she knew what she was going to do with him, definitely a fire injection with breathing fire when it came down to it. That’s what she was going to do, and it would be perfect. Jack smiled a little and then told Kro her opinion on the matter and he grunted an agreement. He didn’t want to let her know the thought of fighting something he couldn’t physically touch worried him, so if he could do that much, then things would be fine. But there were so many things out there resistant to fire… Jack thought about it for a moment, maybe cold would be the way to go, she really wasn’t sure about it for the moment though. Hmm, maybe fire was too much, maybe cold really was the way to go. It didn’t really matter that it was more expensive of an injection, but she shrugged a little, maybe she could talk to Alan and figure it out when she went to buy one. Although she was sure he would suggest just buying one of each of all of them and then try things out one at a time. She’d bought plenty of injections from him before, but as for right now she wouldn’t try to haggle or anything she felt, she had plenty of credits right now.
Cold might be the way to go she figured as he stood under the water. He wasn’t too cold right now either, but that was fine either way she figured. Hmm, maybe she really should go that route, there wasn’t anything else she could really do at the moment besides choose between fire and cold, and she was leaning more toward cold at this point. There were so many fire resistant animals out there it was ridiculous, and some were flat out immune! There weren’t many who were the same with cold, so maybe that was the way to go. Besides, no one would expect him to know how to breathe ice, right? She’d never hinted at wanting to do this before, so no one would expect it and they would be caught completely off guard, or at least she hoped that was going to be the case. Jack watched him as he stood under the waterfall and wondered what would happen if she did what she was thinking of doing anyway. Nothing was going to work out if she didn’t do it, of course, but what else could she do for the moment? She wanted to protect him as best as she possibly could, and if this was what would protect him, then so be it, she figured with a smile and a nod. So cold injection, that was the plan, at least for right now. Maybe she would change her mind later, she really wasn’t sure, but that was alright for now. Jack pushed her hair back as she watched him struggle against the water and then finally come out from under the waterfall, she didn’t want to deal with him struggling too much with the water. Eventually he would get that much better at it without having to deal with things, and that would be the best. Things were always a little struggle though, if you didn’t struggle you didn’t really live, at least that was her thought on the whole thing. She smiled a little bit and shook her head, maybe she needed to start thinking differently.

There, it was settled, she figured as Kro lumbered out of the waterfall again. She would get him a cold injection and give him breath of winter, it was the only thing that made much sense at the moment, and she knew they could get away with it if they worked hard at it. Nodding to herself, she found the issue resolved and she hoped that things would stay that way for a moment or two. Needless to say, she was still a little leery of injecting him, but after everything else she had done to him, it only made sense to do this too, and this would make him even better than before she figured with a little smile on her face. Whatever she had to do to win, aside from cheating of course, would make sense, and it’s what anyone in her position would do, right? She sighed a little, she felt like she was cheating, but if he came up against something ethereal, then he was screwed and that wasn’t any good. It would probably be a long fight too, because they wouldn’t give up, the other one would have to chip away at Kro a little at a time in that case, and hopefully they would just give up in the time it would take to take him down and all that. Jack pushed her hair back as she watched Kro under the waterfall, she just hoped she could do something about everything he might face, but she didn’t even know what to expect with things right now. It was hard to imagine what all was going to be entered into the tournament, but she knew it wouldn’t be easy when it came down to it and all that. Jack hoped it would be worth it and all that, but she didn’t know what else to do about things for awhile just yet. She smiled a little, at least she had something of a plan, even if it might not be too much of a plan at this point. Hey, she had to start giving herself a little credit, she figured, at least she had that much going for her, some people didn’t even have a plan.
Of course Kro could beat anything that stood in his way at this point, though the ethereal part made her uneasy, hence the injection she was going to get him. That way they could really beat anything in their path, though her ultimate goal was to have him beat a Pliathor. That probably wouldn’t happen, she doubted he would be able to hit one, but hey it was a nice dream to have at least. Hopefully they would be done soon and then they could go home and rest, though she would probably go to the store once they were done here. She might just send him home, he knew the way, while she went to the store to get his injection. No one messed with Kro on the streets, as he pulled the cart behind him and all that, most people knew who he was and where he belonged, knowing that he didn’t wander just for the sake of wandering. Everything Kro did had a purpose, though sometimes only he and Jack knew what that was, because she knew everything he tried to do at any point in his life he figured. Jack smiled at him and let him out from under the waterfall, hoping they would be done soon so they could go get ready. As soon as that injection was bought, then they would have more training to do before the tournament anyway, she figured, and she smiled a little as she thought about it. What was someone going to do about things for the moment anyway? It wasn’t like they could just stop everything and keep training, but that’s what they were doing. A few others had started training as well, and she knew that it was going to be rough beating some of them as time went on it seemed.
Kro lumbered over again and ate some of his hay, and Jack wondered if maybe he was ready for his water, though it really hadn’t been enough time in her eyes to justify it just yet. Hmm, maybe things would work out in the end of it all, but she just didn’t know what to think right now. Jack pushed her hair back again, insisting on getting it cut as soon as she had some free time, and then stood up and wandered around the room a little, worrying about her Thundergug and the tournament, wondering what she was going to do if they didn’t win. She knew entering a Thundergug like Kro was almost cheating in a way, but that was fine, it wasn’t her fault no one else really trained Thundergugs, which was a shame because they were a beautiful species. Jack smiled at him and patted him on the haunch whenever she passed him and then eyed the water in the jug on the cart. Maybe after the next session under the waterfall she would give it to him and then that would be fine. For now she just wanted to figure out what was wrong with everything in her head, just what had caused her to worry about something ethereal in the first place? Very rarely were they trained, of course, but that didn’t mean they were never trained. It had just never been an issue for them she figured, but that didn’t matter at this point, but that was alright. Already she had come up with a solution to the issue, and that meant things would be fine in the end of it all. Jack knew what she was going to do and then she would be able to figure things out after all that. What was she going to do anyway? Hmm, nothing she could do about it at the moment, but at least she knew what she was going to do in the meantime. She just had to figure out how to get Kro to tap into his new cold powers he would get with the injection.

Once more he went under the waterfall after he munched on the hay they brought with them for a little while. Jack wasn’t sure what to do about things just now, what was she going to think about? It was boring just sitting there of course, but there wasn’t much else she could do about things at the moment. Resistance training was the worst, she thought, so much worse than the other three things you could train at the Gym, but they were almost finished she thought with a little smile on her face. Just a bit longer and then they would be finished she figured, a few more times under the waterfall and then they could go home. Or rather, Kro could go home and she could head out to the shop to buy him an injection so they could get training the next day, that sounded better than the other thing, honestly. Even though she was tired, she would rather get some training figured out than anything else at the moment. Jack smiled at herself, she was an odd one like that, but she was devoted to her animals, especially Kro, so she knew things would work out after awhile and all that. It was getting hard to focus right now though, even though Kro wasn’t having any issues it seemed, but the closer to the end it got, the harder it was for her to concentrate on this kind of training. Maybe she was having some issues, she really didn’t know, but that was fine because things would work out in the end of it all and she wouldn’t have to deal with it anymore. Jack just hoped she wouldn’t fall asleep again while Kro was training, that wouldn’t do at all, she really couldn’t handle the thought honestly. She just wanted to be home, have the injection and then get back to basics for awhile, even though breath of winter was anything but basic. But she would try and teach him some of the little things as well so some things wouldn’t get completely plastered if they were ethereal when it came to the Pit. She chuckled a little, it would almost serve them right, but they wouldn’t know what to do with themselves when it came time for them to fight if they didn’t already know that he’d had an injection.
Kro just wanted to train, he really didn’t care what it was going to be about or anything, or how much it would help him out, he just wanted to keep doing what he was doing and get better and better than he was before all of his happened. When he’d been adopted he was sure he would be doomed to live like most other Thundergugs, alone and isolated, so he’d been happy to realize he would be different. There was maybe one other Thundergug that was a little trained, but he outdid her by quite a ways if what the woman said was true. He almost wished to meet her, but then again he didn’t really want to either, he felt there would be too much competition between both them and their people for that to happen. Jack had to be the best, he knew it and she knew it, but she tried to downplay it a little bit. She still had that pride though, he felt it, and he knew what it was like to have that stripped away from someone, so he didn’t know what to do at the moment no matter what happened. He was under the waterfall again and everything was fine, but he was interested in that water, and so when she called him out and poured the water that supposedly tasted like grass into a trough, he sniffed at it and tried it.
Surprisingly the grass water was pretty good, it was sweet as well, something he didn’t anticipate, but that was fine, he liked it well enough. He liked it a lot better than the vegetable water he’d had the day before during training, and he slurped it up greedily before moving on to eating some of the hay they had on the back of the cart. It had taken some work to get to the Gym, and she had to help out a little with the cart’s positioning, but that was fine, she could handle it now that she had an eternally free hand at this point. She grinned a little, it was nice having her old leg back at this point, though it was technically a new leg. The leg in between, the bad leg, was gone, crushed by a tree when she was with Renathan. Now she had some nightmares occasionally but that was fine, she could handle nightmares, she couldn’t handle the pain as much anymore. Like it or not, she was starting to get older, she wasn’t quite as spry as she used to be. As much as she hated feeling like that, she knew it was true, and so she had to start planning for her future and all that, it just wouldn’t work out if she didn’t know what she was supposed to do. Jack pushed her hair back again and shook her head a little, watching as it settled down right where she had scooped it from on her head. Oh well, it didn’t really matter, it was a mess anyway no matter what. She just wished it was a little less unruly and then she could just deal with it as time went by and all that. Jack sighed a little, she wasn’t sure what to do with herself, but she had to focus on training Kro. It was almost time to send him back into the waterfall, but she really didn’t want to deal with that just yet. He was having such a good break she didn’t want to interrupt him or anything it seemed. Oh well, she would have to eventually, and she knew that things would turn out rather well whenever they were finished with this training.

Jack wondered if she was a little overprotective of her Thundergug, but then figured it was impossible to be too overprotective of anything like that. She wanted the best for Kro, and this would be giving him the best, or at least so she thought. She sighed a little, she wasn’t sure what to think of herself at this, but that was fine she figured with another little sigh, she just hoped that things would work out alright in the end after his injection. She almost wished they were reversible, but of course they weren’t, once they were injected, they were injected and there was nothing you could do about it. Oh well, she didn’t see herself being very upset about him being injected, it wasn’t like he was elemental anyway, so there wouldn’t be anything too conflicting when it came down to it she figured. A cold injection, she’d given one of those before to a Sarane, her black Hen she had found in the mines, Alic. She hoped Kro would use the move as effectively as she had when she had battled, but of course that didn’t matter at the moment, as long as things were going well then she would be just fine when she helped him in the Pit. It was too bad there weren’t enough people in the area for a tag-team tournament, those were pretty fun when it all came down to it. She sighed a little and shook her head, she didn’t know where her thoughts were going for the moment, but that was alright she figured with a frown on her face. All she wanted to do was to get this training over with, and as she watched Kro under the waterfall, she wondered if this was really going to be worth it in the end of it all. Maybe that psychic injection would be lost on him, but he would get something out of all of this, and that injection was not one of them. He would be getting a cold injection and nothing was going to stand in her way, nothing at all, or anyone, for that matter. Nothing and no one would stand in her way, and that was all there was to it.
All they had to do was focus on the task at hand, and it was getting harder and harder for her to do that at the moment. She spaced out toward the end of this kind of training, and the fact that she wanted to bring Andes here for training threw her off entirely. What was she thinking? She had brought three animals to the Gym already, hadn’t she suffered enough? Kro was on his fifth trip, Mikhail had five trips, and Alexei had four trips, though she wondered if she should get him that last trip just to make it worth it, but when would she use Sarane again, she wondered. Jack shrugged a little and sighed, she didn’t know what to do about things right now, but she knew that she was crazy for thinking she could do this again. Of course she would, but that didn’t matter, it still made her crazy for thinking she could do it again. Jack sighed to herself and so did the Thundergug, she misjudged herself quite a bit, not believing she could do certain things when he knew she could. She could handle a few more trips to the Gym, maybe not too soon, but she could do it no matter what. Jack sighed a little and leaned back in the chair she was in as she watched Kro in the waterfall, almost finished with his training, and wondered what she would do without something to train. Fortunately that would never happen, she had enough animals as it was to last a lifetime, and she kept getting more it seemed. Even just training her Pachee would give her some issues she felt, and that was enough for her at the moment.
Kro just wished she would stop second guessing herself at the moment, she was doing great, just like he was. The water was on full blast at this point and he was barely struggling, just standing there and grunting sometimes if a rock came loose from up above. He would have to say something about that to the woman and then things might be able to work out well enough for herself. Jack shrugged her shoulders back and glanced down at the stopwatch, any moment now and they would be done, could pack up, and then leave for their respective places, him for home and her for the shop to get his injection. Jack just hoped that some things would stay the same after they were finished with all of this, but she wasn’t sure she should hold her breath or anything. Giving herself a little time, she wondered what she would do after all was said and done, there wasn’t much left for her to do at the moment was there? She frowned a little and shook her head, she just wanted to be done so they wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore, and she knew that was about to happen sooner or later. All she had to do was deal with things right now, she figured with a little sigh. All she had to do was keep sitting here while he worked, which was frustrating enough in and of itself, and then just leave when it was time to leave. She frowned deeper and then shook her head, making herself smile a little, forcing it rather, and then she wondered and hoped that things would work out well enough as it was. Jack pushed her hair back again and then leaned back, hoping that she could figure things out as best as she could as time went by, though it might be nice to figure out what was going to happen when they were finished. She had been looking forward to this training for awhile now, but what was she going to do when it was gone?

She started to get a little giddy as she looked down at the stopwatch. He was finished as long as she could get him out of the waterfall, it was entirely possible he would want to stay at this point as well. She chuckled when he instantly got out of the water, no point in training more if they were already done, that was how he thought of the whole situation. Jack patted him on the side after he shook himself off, the water flinging absolutely everywhere it seemed at the moment. He was a big dude though, and everything went everywhere with him, no matter how hard he might try not to do that. Jack patted him on the side a little bit and then started to take the wraps off of his legs, being careful to roll them as she went so there would, hopefully, be no more tears in the wraps like the one she had to exchange earlier. She just hoped that they would have more use in the future instead of just now, but she would see how it would go as time went by she was sure, of course. Jack pushed her hair back after the first leg was finished and then moved on to the next leg, unrolling that one so they didn’t have to worry about them later on and all that. She just hoped things would work out in the Pit, they had some more training to do and that was all there was to it. No matter what happened, she would be proud of Kro, and she hoped that things would work their way out no matter what as time went on.
Kro was ready to be home at this point, but he felt different now anyway. The training really did have an affect on him it seemed, though he wasn’t entirely certain what it was affecting at the moment. Jack smiled at him and explained it a little as she went to work on the wraps on his back legs, rolling them up into neat little rolls so they hopefully wouldn’t tear before she came back with another animal. Andes would need to come, probably, but she didn’t know what to train him yet. Maybe the Labs would have another petite tournament and then she would be able to get the spirit of Gym training in again, though she doubted she would feel up to it for a nice long while. It was rough and she didn’t know what to do about things, but that was alright at the moment. Jack pushed her hair back a little and worked on the last wrap, rolling it up and making sure everything would be fine when it all came down to it. You had to be careful with your equipment or else everything would go to crap whenever you went to use it again, and she didn’t want that to happen at all. Everything had it’s proper place as well at home, and then she would be able to find it a lot easier as well. In some ways she was a perfectionist, in other ways she was a slob, but when it came to her equipment, she kept it immaculate.
Nothing good would come of things if they didn’t check out though, Jack hooked Kro up to the cart and they made their way out of their room and over to the counter. She chatted with Alexis as the woman looked Kro over a little bit and then nodded them out of the Gym, thanking them for what they did and then wishing them luck in the tournament, though she wished everyone luck in the tournament it would seem. She figured she would miss Renathan coming in again with his Equillion, but this last bit of training hadn’t taken quite as long as the last few had taken it seemed, so it was fine to miss him this time, though they had missed each other every time. That was alright, they didn’t have to see each other all the time, it was just nice when they did see each other at least. Jack pushed her hair back and then parted ways with Kro to find him a nice, cold, injection.

He needed the training though, they had enough training outside of the Gym for now, so she wondered what they could do inside of the Gym for the moment. Not to mention Tobi just needed a little more experience with the world before she started to train him again outside of the Gym. Things were looking up for her she figured as she waved to the tigress at the front desk after filling out the form, and then she walked into the dexterity room with Tobi perched on her shoulder. It was going to be fun, though she still wasn't quite sure what she was going to do with all this, if she was going to get this done at all. Tobi was so small she didn't know what to do at the moment, she figured, but soon enough she would hopefully figure it out. She had the poles this time, of course, as well as her stop watch and a flask of power water, water flavored, for her little Jibiji. It was the best she could do for him at the moment she thought, and she didn't know what else to do at the moment. What was she going to use the poles for anyway? She shrugged to herself, almost upsetting Tobi for the moment, and she smiled a little bit as she stood there in the middle of the room, hands on her hips. She thought she might use the little room off to the side, the one with the ball launcher, and have him dodge the balls midair. Luckily he instinctively knew how to dodge, she hadn't trained him to do it on command though, which was fine and it would work out well enough for them at the moment she thought. Well, she had to think of something sooner or later, and she knew she would give him a break halfway through the training, that much was certain, but what was the training going to consist of at the moment? She tilted her head and then shook it, shaking the cobwebs out of her mind for the moment. It wasn't that she didn't know what to do, she was a little leery about doing it, it seemed. What if one of the balls hit him midair and he got hurt? She went over to inspect them, Tobi trilling on her shoulder, and found they were relatively squishy, they probably wouldn't do much damage to him at all, just knock him out of the air possibly until he got his wings under him again. Jack smiled at him and then loaded up the ball launcher, hoping this was going to be fine for her at the moment. It would work out well enough she thought, and she looked around for a little bit, hoping for another bout of inspiration. Jack: 1/10 Tobi: 18 1/5; 36 1/5

The woman bent over and inspected the floor for a moment, there were holes in the floor here as well, which gave her an idea. Once he was getting the hang of dodging the balls in the air, she would start setting up the poles one at a time for awhile to see how he did with that. Avoiding a couple of things would be harder than just one she figured, and it would give him a chance to change up his routine a little bit, which was definitely a good thing she figured. Jack stood back up, pushing a hand through her hair, smiling at the thought. Well then, she had a decent idea, or at least she thought she did at the moment, and so she was going to get it all set up. She loaded the launcher with balls and then told Tobi to start flying. It would be good for his stamina as well, but they wouldn't be working on that for awhile yet it seemed. She didn't think the cart would do much for him either... unless she could get it to shrink or something, maybe the tigress had an idea for her or something. Jack watched as the bird took to the air from her shoulder and then told him to stay where he was for a moment as she turned on the machine. It was a randomized machine, it shot in different directions and at different intervals so there was no pattern to be had, which was really helpful when it came to mimicking a real animal's movements. She smiled a little as the first ball sailed past the bird, and he chittered unhappily at it as he dodged it. It wouldn't last long though, as the next one grazed his talons, she was just happy it didn't hook onto him, she didn't know if it would be too much weight for him. He chittered again, this time at her for doing this to him, and then flew out of the way of the next ball. This was going to take some time she knew, but that was fine, it was worth it no matter what at the moment. Jack leaned back against the wall and kept up her commentary with praising the little Jibiji. She would give him breaks often she figured, he was so small he couldn't handle much, his poor little heart would stress itself out too much she figured. Ah well, at least he was doing a good job so far she figured with a little smile on her face. She hoped that things would work out in the end, and while she was sure they would, she didn't want to worry about it just yet and all. Worrying never got a person anywhere it seemed, and she wasn't too keen on staying that way for any reason at the moment. She just hoped that things would be fine in the end of it all, and she watched him as he dodged another one.

Things were going well so far, Tobi was dodging the balls as best as he could, though he was getting hit more often than not. At least the balls were soft enough they didn't hurt him, they just knocked him out of the air for a moment before he got his wings under him again. So far he hadn't hit the floor, which was definitely a good thing, but he'd had a few close calls so far. Jack just wanted to be done already, and she laughed at the thought. They'd only just begun, and it took awhile for this to take effect really. Smiling, she watched and waved at Tobi when he looked over at her, but he'd been distracted long enough for a ball to hit him straight on, knocking the wind out of him. He would have hit the floor if the woman hadn't dove to catch him in her hands, and she figured now was a good place to pause for a few moments to let him catch his breath. Jack breathed out a sigh of relief when he chittered and chatted at her after a few moments of getting the air back into his lungs, and she rubbed his back and the top of his head as she worked with him a little bit. Jack smiled a little bit and shook her head, she didn't know what was going to happen with the both of them, but that was fine. Poor little Tobi wasn't really sure what hit him. He was sure it was a ball, but that didn't matter when he was a little out of it, a bit dazed really. Jack wasn't sure what to do with him at the moment as she tried to get him back on his feet, or rather, wings it seemed, and that was fine she figured with a little smile on her face. As long as he got back up and didn't quit, then he was going to be just fine, and that's what he did, flying over to where he had been for awhile and waiting for the machine to turn on again. Jack gathered up the balls that had been shot so far and loaded the machine with them once more before switching it on again, a ball instantly shooting out of it and aiming for the Jibiji. Tobi dodged out of the way as best as he could, but there was only so much he could do about the one that came at him a second later and nicked his talons a little on the way past. He chittered and narrowed his eyes a little at the machine and then dove down at the ball to peck it before dodging out of the way of another ball. It was fun to see him work today in the Gym, or at least she thought so, and she smiled a little thinking of what they would do after this training was done. Hopefully go to the Park for a bit and get some more training out of the way.

This was going to take awhile she had a feeling at least, and she didn't know what else to do right now. She couldn't sit down and read or anything, she had to actively work with Tobi as it was. She leaned back against the wall again as he took off and started to dodge the balls again. She knew she was going to have to pump up the speed a little soon if he was going to continue being tested, which was fine by her at the moment and everything. She smiled at him and waved, hoping to distract him a little bit again to test what he could do, and he passed by another ball beautifully. He wasn't the most dexterous little bird, but he would be soon enough she figured with a little smile on her face. Jack didn't know what was going to happen with things, but that was good enough for her, she didn't always have to know what was going on she figured with a little smile. Of course, it was nice if she knew what was going on, but it wasn't like she had to know it all the time, right? Part of her wished she knew if this training was worth it, but she knew it had to be, anything to make her animals better was good for her she thought. Jack didn't know what was going on at the time, and that was fine as she thought about it. Nothing was going to happen at the same time no matter what, things were going to go fine for the little bird she figured with a smile, he was dodging rather well even though she hadn't trained him how to do it, he could do it naturally though, which was nice she figured with a little nod. There wasn't a lot for her to do at the moment and that was fine no matter what. Jack was figuring what was going on no matter what and all that, and she hoped that she could help him out a little bit as things were going. She wanted him to be the best he could be, and in order to do that, they had to be in the Gym. Honestly it was fine no matter what, but he was only going to get better if he worked on it at the same time. Jack wasn't sure what to do with things as time went on, but as long as he kept on dodging the balls in the air, then things would be fine. Maybe she would have him walk around doing it at the same time at the moment to see what was going on at the same time. She smiled a little bit and wondered what she was going to do about things at the moment. Jack pushed a hand through her hair for a moment and nodded, she would have him walk around for a little bit and see if he did better or worse there, though she expected he would flutter around a bit.

Everything was going smoothly, Tobi was doing well with the training so far, and while she had contemplated putting up the poles already, she wasn't going to do it just yet she figured. Jack frowned a little as she turned up the speed on the machine just a touch so that it threw the balls faster. He dodged them gracefully, or at least tried to as some hit him, just not out of the air like that other one had done. Apparently he had learned pretty quickly with that one it seemed. She smiled a little at the thought and wondered what she was going to do about things right now, hoping that things were going to go well for the little bird. Of course it would, she could tell it would, but whatever happened was going to work out alright she hoped. Jack pushed her hair back as she watched Tobi moving around in the air, panting a little bit as he flapped his wings. This was the longest he had been in the air since he had learned how to fly, he was getting really tired, and so the woman called him to her, turned off the machine, and then poured some of the water into a little bowl for him to drink out of. Birds were odd, she wasn't sure what to think of them very much at times, but Tobi was a little different with his little ears popping out of his head. She liked them, they helped him out with a few things it seemed, which was fine by her at the moment. Jack patted him on the head and stroked his ears a little as he drank from the water, gaining a bit of energy from it, it seemed. She smiled at him and then let him sit on her shoulder for a bit, wondering if he would catch his breath quickly or if it might take a little while and all that. She smiled a bit at him and hoped it might take him awhile, because while she wanted him to train harder and faster, it wasn't worth him getting hurt over it. Maybe next time they came she would train him in something else other than dexterity, but she wasn't sure about it just yet she figured. Jack put Tobi on a little stool next to the wall so she could go pick up the balls that had been shot out of the machine so far and put them back into it so there wasn't going to be a shortage for all that. Jack grinned at him and wondered what was going to happen with the little bird as he trained himself up a bit. She was working with him as well, but it was definitely all him whenever it came to the last of it. Without a doubt, at least things were going to go well for him and all, and she figured it would take awhile to get that little bit of dexterity he needed.

Tobi was tired, but he was taking a bit of a rest. He watched as the woman took the balls that had flown at him and put them back into the thing that launched them in the first place. If he had the ability to frown, he would he figured, but as it was, he simply chirped angrily and puffed up a bit, unsure of what he was going to have to do when he got his breath back. He would probably have to do more of what he was doing, which wasn't very fun, but the woman seemed intent on him doing it for some reason. Jack smiled at him and patted him on the head when she walked back over to him, and then had him fly back to where he had been practicing dodging the balls. Things were going great so far she figured with a smile, and then she wondered what she could do to keep him going over the training. At least things were going well enough she figured with a bit of a nod, and she didn't know what to do no matter what as everything happened. All he had to do was keep dodging, and she would keep the machine at the same speed this time, just introduce one of the poles soon enough so that he had something else to worry about in the air. Part of her wondered if the little Jibiji was taking this seriously as she turned on the ball launcher, but then she realized it didn't matter as long as he did it, that was the key to it all she figured with a smile. He didn't have to like it, but he did have to keep doing it at the moment she figured with a little smile on her face. As long as he did better, then things would go well no matter what as time went on. She just wished it was easier on him than this was, maybe she would have him work on his stamina next, his ability to take a bit of a hit. Sure the petite tournament wouldn't be too bad after awhile, but that was fine at the same time she thought. Jack pushed her hair back and looked around for the moment, watching Tobi and the balls launching at him for now as she worked with him a little bit. Things were going nicely she thought, and it was pretty easy to see what was going on during the training. He was getting tired again, but that was fine no matter what she decided as time went on. The more tired he got, the better everything would be, the better the training was going at the same time. She smiled at him and waved a little bit no matter what was happening, at least she was able to get things done for him. She felt a little useless though, just standing there at the moment... Oh well, at least she knew what she was doing right?

Jack just knew the little bird was getting tired, he'd had a long day of work so far! But there was much more work ahead of them it seemed, and the woman sighed a little as she thought of it. There wasn't much she could do about it right now, but she knew she needed to let him take a nice long rest soon enough, though she wasn't quite sure when at the moment. Sooner or later he would let her know when he couldn't go much further, and that was fine by her it seemed. Jack pushed her curly hair back and wondered what she was going to do with things just yet, it wasn't like training in the Gym was too intensive for her, she just had to keep the animal in question on track, making sure they actually did what they were supposed to do at the moment. Giving a little sigh, she sat down on the stool and watched as Tobi dodged the balls that were being thrown at him with the machine. She didn't know what else to do at the moment, which was fine by her she figured no matter what, and that was alright as soon as things happened. Jack chewed on her lip a little when the machine finally ran out of the soft balls, and then turned it off and went to go collect them as Tobi took another drink of his power water. It was nice to see him drinking at least she figured, and she smiled at him a little as time went on. He was tired, but it wasn't time to rest just yet, she had to keep him going. She scooped him up and put him on the floor, telling him to stay put for now at least so he could just run from the balls instead of flying, that might give him a little rest for now she figured. Jack turned the machine on low and he skittered out of the way of one ball, just to be hit full on by the next. She chuckled as he stood back up, feathers ruffling a little in the breeze of another ball flying past him, and she wondered what was going on in his little head. Of course it didn't matter no matter what, she wasn't going to put a Ribbon on him or anything, which was fine by her and probably by him at the same time. She'd not gotten used to the voices in her head just yet, even though it had been awhile since she started using them, it was just odd hearing another things thoughts alongside hers, especially if they shared an emotional link at the same time. Jack smiled a little though, at the bird as he skittered along the floor, trying to dodge out of the way of the balls at the same time. It was fine, he was doing great, and she hoped he would do well with this training no matter what.

Him being on the floor was working out rather well it seemed, Jack thought with a little smile tugging at her lips. It was great to see him working so well with everything, and she thought he was doing some of his best work on the ground. Sure it was difficult for him, but it was supposed to be difficult for him, she thought so at least. The only way to get better would be to really push yourself, that was the only way to do anything for yourself really, and the little bird was figuring that out as the training continued. Jack was sure things would work out between them, or at least she hoped they would, but for now he was still a little mad about being hit by a couple of balls while she had him on the floor. At least it wasn't impossible for him to be on the floor and move around, it was difficult though, which was fine she figured with a little smile, at least it meant he was having to think on his feet, not just do whatever it was he was trying to do at the moment. Jack pushed her hair back as she watched him and wondered how the others were thinking about her and the little bird. Kro didn't really seem to care as long as they had time for each other eventually. He was the closest bond she had with any of the animals, which was really nice at the same time. Jack tugged on her bottom lip for a moment as she tried to think about things for a little while, hoping that she would have something to do while Tobi was training off on his own. Never knowing what was going to happen, she watched as a couple of balls lobbed at the bird side by side, which he fluttered out of the way, more of a hop really with his wings moving a little for a bit more air beneath him, but his wings were ever so tired she thought with a little smile on her face, it was perfect as she worked for things the way that they were. Jack didn't care too much about what was going on, but that was fine she figured as she watched him dodging out of the way of the soft little balls. It was almost too boring for her to handle at the moment, she much preferred hands on teaching than sitting back and instructing them what to do from time to time, but this would work, it had to work, and she thought she could get it figured out in no time. Maybe she would bring a book next time, it only made sense and all that, right? But no, she wouldn't, she got too involved in what her animals were doing it seemed, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, just a different thing that what she wanted to happen. Jack just wished she wasn't so bored during training.

At least he was trying to do better it seemed, Jack figured with a little smile. She didn't know what to expect from him, but at least he was doing his very best it appeared, that had to count for something she figured with a little laugh. Jack pushed her hair back and then tried to decide what to do with her time at the moment as he continued to dodge the little soft balls that were being lobbed at him on the ground. She'd had to point the muzzle of the little ball cannon down a bit so it would actually hit at him instead of in the air, which worked either way she supposed, but still. Jack chewed her lip a little as she watched him dodging at ground level, and she hoped that things would be alright in the end of it all. At least it was something worth it, she knew it would be great once he finally got everything worked out and all that, she figured with a little smile as she worked with things. At least she was trying to help him out a little as well, that had to count for something when it was all said and done she thought. As long as he was getting better, then she wouldn't stop doing what she was doing, and she was just glad the machine was here instead of herself throwing the balls at him, that would have almost been worse, he really would have gotten mad at her then she thought. Jack frowned a little and tried to figure out what she was going to do while he was training, there was only so much she could do before she was completely bored with the way things were going. Oh well, at least it was something though, she had to give it that much, and she watched as Tobi chittered a little and then dodged another ball. She was really going to have to teach him to do that on command, as well as to sense danger she figured with a little chuckle. It would be interesting since he would already have this training under his belt, she figured with a little sigh, and then it would just make it that much harder for him to do what he needed to do. Ah well, at least he was working hard with everything she thought as she watched him, and she hoped that things would go well for him in the end of it all. Little Tobi was just getting so tired still though, she figured it was almost time for a break, he could rest, get a drink, and eat a little of the bird food she had brought with them to the Gym. It was just little seeds, but at least these he didn't have to get out of the shell, she didn't want to leave a bunch of shells all over the floor when they were using the equipment, she didn't want anyone else to have to pick it up.
