That rumble beneath the saddle always meant consideration. Good compared to the outright rejection he was wont to throw around. When creatures got to his size, the efforts it took to move such mass seemed apparrent in their every move - the enormity of his beating wings was still breathtaking. As such, Lethalia had expected a little more time, maybe. Vidarr's head dipped down into the slightest of dives before it pulled straight up with the tilt of his wings to catch the oncoming air. The sheer force of the wind catching those giant sails flipped them in an instant, backwards as opposed to the sideways motion Leth had been expecting. The woman couldn't help but allow a little shriek to escape her, dissolving into helpless giggling by the time the drake had completed a loop. His wings flared and he wobbled back to equalized flying, not as prepared for the backflip as he'd appeared initally. |That?|
|We'll call that one a flip,| she offered, too breathless giggling to yell over the wind. barrel roll|2 flip|2

|What?!| Only Vidarr could manage to sound so indignant with so few words. |No, I like it! Remember that one!| she encouraged quickly, unwilling to let his sensitivities make them backslide. |Let's try a roll too, though!| At the drake's quiet consideration, Leth figured he might need more of a hint to understand the entirety of her request. At the first ask, she'd already been upsidown this many seconds after making it! |Like - off to the side. Think like another drake coming at you from straight ahead - and you'd roll off to dodge, yeah?|Nothing was of use to him unless it was for bloodshed. No matter how unlikely the situation was to arise, it seemed like Vidarr could better picture the concept given 'real-life' framework for it to work within. He was shockingly pragmatic that way; his head was only literally in the clouds, along with his ego. barrel roll|3 flip|3

Funny how much thought it took him to pitch off to the side now, when she'd definitely witnessed him do it under his own power before. He cast an glance at her over his shoulder, and though she just made it through an acrobatic flip, Leth finally thought to reassure him |You know I'm strapped on, Vidarr. All good! Let's roll!| His response felt something close to an eye roll, but that hesitation dissolved. Leth didn't have the time to figure out if he was truly worried or for what reason. For all the discussion to just get him there, Vidarr had obviously done this before. His head went low once again with his long neck following in an elegant arc to the right, the right wing's clawed finger dipped down and the left tilting up - Breath was whisked away from Lethalia's lungs as the wind caught their left, tenting that huge sail and all but flinging them. Bracing against the force and having to squeeze her eyes shut, the satyr wasn't entirely sure if this was a controlled spin or not. barrel roll|4 flip|4

The blood rushed to her head, and Leth found she couldn't pry her eyes back open until the drake had leveled back out and he just glowed with pride. He did it? |You did it!| Another laugh bubbled up belatedly, as if it'd taken time for her brain to catch back up to the location of her skull. "Do 'nother barrel roll!!" she whooped before she knew what she was doing, patting Vidarr's left side. |Can you do it the other direction?| There was only that smug sense of satisfaction from him and they were spiralling off to the opposite side. With expectations to build off of from the first time, Leth battled to keep her eyes cracked open to watch the city twist overhead and the sky bend to their bellies. Keeping her eyes open, she could actually observe how Vidarr pulled the stunt off. It wasn't just twisting in midair like she'd assumed, like a barrel on an axis. It was more like twirling around the center of an invisible vortex, half a helix drawn by the tip of his wing. barrel roll|5 flip|5

Between the wind in his very blood and the years of flying the drake had under his belt, Vidarr took to taking a word to his aerials as easily as he learned violence. Leth hadn't considered nearly enough - he thought himself lord over skies as much as he did over drakes. This was how she could escape the constant bloodshed! Of course. There was a reason she sought to breed more flighted hens - they were creatures of the sky every bit as much as dogs of war. "Let'see 'nother flip?" she prompted. The lit of wonder in her voice was more than enough to stoke the drake's ego and keep him going, in spite of his sides heaving from exertion. He sucked in a deep breath, dipped his head, threw it back with his wings and backwards they went once more. Still so awesome and new, the satyr's laughter rung joyously over the landscape they whizzed by. Lethalia went from merely admiring the air show Vidarr would put on under his own accord, to winding up spending hours that day choreographing the show right alongside him.
