Jack had to admit, she was getting a little bored with things as it was. She sighed a little and shook her head, she had to get this done, but she didn't know what to do about it at the moment. Jack pushed her hair back and then pulled it back, admitting that she needed a haircut at the time, she would have to hunt someone down again, or do it to herself once more, which is what usually happened at this point. She settled back into her chair and laced her fingers together after she got everything done in her office. Dusty was sleeping on the couch, which was what she was using it for anyway, just in case she needed a place to stay sometimes, but oh well. Giving a little smile, she leaned back and closed her eyes, a little work every day and this place would be back to normal.

The little Jibiji followed her this time, flying along behind her as she walked toward the Guild. She needed to clean out some of the member rooms, she figured, and she shook her head a little wondering what she had gotten herself into. Sure she could wait for them to move in and make them clean it all up, but what would that say about her at this point? She wasn't lazy, and her new leg worked well, so she didn't need to be dealing with things the way she used to, it wasn't going to hurt her to get things done or anything, right? Jack sighed, hands on her hips as she looked up at the Guild hall. She didn't know what she was going to do, and that was really fine, but there were plenty of cleaning supplies in there for her to use, she'd made sure to stock up after doing her office. Tobi was a pretty cute little bird and she was sure he would keep her company while she cleaned. Jack smiled at him as he landed on her shoulder and she finally steeled herself enough to go inside. The common rooms could wait to be cleaned for a little bit, at least until people started moving in and all that. Maybe they would be willing to help her out with the cleaning, she didn't really know just yet. She also had to clean out the stables and grounds, but it was going to be rough. Things would work out for her, she just wished someone else would help her out from time to time. There were plenty of people who were in the Guild who could help her out, but it didn't bother her so much she would raise a fuss about it. There was nothing that important for her to do no matter what.

Jack scratched little Tobi on the top of his head and pushed open the door to the Guild hall, it was dusty and musty inside and she sighed a little bit. Jack frowned a bit and didn't know what was going to happen when she got into some of the rooms. When they remodeled some people left some stuff behind or left their room trashed. It happened, but it didn't mean she had to be happy about it. Given the circumstances, the woman just hoped things wouldn't be terrible. She grabbed the cleaning supplies and went up the stairs to the rooms. The first room was opened and the first thing she did, after letting Tobi onto the desk, was to open the window to let some of the musty smell out. The furniture was in decent shape, but she needed to wash the sheets and dust everything to make it look better.

Nothing was going to stand in the way of her getting this cleaned, and Tobi hopped along beside her as she got to work stripping the bed and checking it to make sure it was in good order. She tossed the sheets into a cart outside the door and got to work spraying the furniture down with cleaner so she could wipe it down in a moment. There was a thick layer of dust everywhere, she had promised herself it wouldn't get this bad, but she had failed in that promise. As long as she kept up with it from now on, then things would be fine she figured with a little smile on her face. Jack pushed her hair back and looked over at the little bird, wondering what was going through his mind as he trilled along happily while she worked. It didn't matter as long as he was happy, but still.

Tobi watched as she cleaned off the chair, couch, end table, and then the desk after he hopped onto her shoulder and trilled happily. He liked being around her, and she smiled at him and patted him carefully on the head as he watched her work. The floor was going to have to be swept and the rug needed the dust beaten out of it, but that would wait until the last moment she figured. Or, alternatively, she could wash the rug. Eyeing it for a moment, she nodded and then picked it up and put it into the cart with the sheets, wondering what was going to happen with it all. All the rugs would go together, all the sheets would go together, no cross coloring she figured with a little chuckle. Jack swept up the floor as best as she could and then surveyed the first room. Not bad really.

As she walked over to the next room, Tobi still on her shoulder, she smiled a little bit before she opened the door. The smile instantly fell. It looked like a disaster in there, like someone had tossed everything around and just left it. Were those scratches on the desk? She sighed a little and started to work a little bit, getting the sheets and bedding out of the wad in the corner and tossed them into the bin outside, along with the crumpled up rug. It was already starting to look a little better, just from that, and the woman smiled a little bit. She would have to refinish the desk of course, but that wasn't too hard, just a bit time consuming, especially with how heavy the desks were, and she needed to put it on a sheet of plastic at that. Jack pushed a hand through her hair and kept working.

Jack straightened up the bed frame and checked the mattress for holes. Finding none, she straightened the mattress and box spring onto it and then settled back a little bit to observe. Tobi hopped onto the bed at her bidding and then she worked on getting the chair, couch, and end table all worked out as well, straightened up and made to look nice again. Whatever had been housed here hadn't touched the end table, which was good, and the woman smiled a little before she looked around again. The floor needed swept, the furniture needed dusted, there was just no end in sight it seemed. Shrugging, she went out and got some more cleaner and finish for the desk, along with the tools she was going to need, and then bought them back so she could get working. Starting off, she swept the floor and then dusted off the furniture, then it was time for the desk.

After she swung the window open wide so she wouldn't be hurt by the fumes, the little Jibiji flew over and settled onto the windowsill. He was so cute as his little ears swiveled around, she really didn't understand why Renathan had sold him. Oh well, his loss was her gain she figured with a smile. Jack set some plastic down on the floor and carried the desk over onto it, her more than average strength was being put to use, which made her grin a little bit. The woman then took a pain scraper and started to peel the finish off of the desk as best as she could, getting into all the little nooks and crannies as she went with it so she wouldn't miss anything. This was going to take awhile, she didn't know how many more rooms she would be able to get to, if any at all really.

It took awhile, and Tobi fell asleep while she worked, but the woman finally got all of the old finish off before she started buffing down the scratch marks a little. At least they were relatively superficial, she figured with a nod, and she wondered what was going to work out best. It was a good thing she had finish that matched the rest of the room, a dark brown. Jack chewed on her lip, popped open the can, then put the brush into it and started painting it up with the finish, making sure not to create any bubbles or anything, and that was fine. Jack took a bit to look around at the desk and then stepped back, happily looking at what was going on. She was pleased with her work, and while it needed another coat, she would come back to it after it was completely dry. The day had slipped away, however.

Jack flopped down on the couch with a sigh and stroked Tobi's back while he slept with a forefinger. He was so small she didn't know what to do with him at the moment, and she sighed a little as she thought about things. The Guild was a mess and she needed to work on it some more, but that wasn't the only thing that needed done. She needed to train alongside her Guild members, and she needed to pass out prizes when the shop finally delivered them. Hopefully those would get people moving along as time went on, but she really didn't know what was going to happen. Jack chewed her lip and pushed a hand through her short curly hair, wondering what to do about things as of yet, but nothing was coming to her just yet. That was fine, she would figure it out eventually, this place would shine.
