Morgan decided to do whatever felt natural when it came to controlling speed; so the idea would be gently pulling back on the reigns momentarily to slow it down, and then squeezing a bit harder and leaning forward to go faster. They hoped that this would work; perhaps another flick of the reins would also help? Morgan preferred to make plans before doing most things. Soon, Morgan was putting these plans into action; moving the creature through it's paces using the bridle commands. At first, it was not easy. Zooming around sometimes was a problem, and then sudden stops instead of slowing down. The creature had began a bad habit of twisting in the air too, which Morgan had to correct.
Three hours of work eventually culminated into Morgan having the wiurn move about with the bridle commands with ease; up in the saddle, that was on the creature quite fine. Morgan was sweating when they finally dismounted, sore and tired. However, it was time to go home, and get a good shower and meal. The wiurn did not seem to be any more tired than it was earlier; and Morgan was a bit envious of it.

The bespectacled human was back three days after the mount training with Michiryuu. He was still muzzled for the safety of the other individuals of the city, and carefully collared and chained, but Morgan was a little less worried about him possibly being aggressive now. He was mostly content with simply floating about and being fed; like a big pinata or balloon. What a mess; a wiurn that was hardly a wiurn at this point. Ah, well, he was neat enough, and strong enough that just simply mount training had left Morgan with incredibly sore muscles. Morgan brings Michiryuu to the park without any issues, most people not even batting an eyelash at the giant floating fluffy chicken wiurn. The human finally made it to their usual spot, and then frowned a bit. There were only two things they needed to work on today, and thankfully they wouldn't strain Morgan's muscles any further.

The first thing that they were going to work on today was going to be the easiest by far; it was a simple clawing attack only suited much more for huge and stronger creatures. Colloquially known as 'rend', it was basically a basic claw attack that had a lot of power behind it. It should be an easy enough concept for most creatures, but Michiryuu is a wiurn, and wiurns are not particularly smart in any facet of the meaning. That meant that this would be just a tad harder than the bespectacled human would have probably anticipated with say, Waar. However, with enough work and practice, Morgan hoped that they would be able to work past it quite well enough, and get it trained. Morgan left the muzzle on the creature for now, but let go of the chain; it was more than enough to weight him down by itself anyway.

The bespectacled human was not exactly sure how to get the creature motivated enough to do this. He was quite calm and unfocused on basically anything; perhaps it was his heritage? Morgan had been told that it was a Wiurn, crossed with some sort of Izer-elemental golem crossbreed, and then also crossed with a Ling-ling. That was perhaps the strangest, most hare-brained idea that Morgan could have thought anyone would have done. Wiurn are huge, monstrous, and often had foul moods. Izers were tiny, and elemental golems were pretty cool at least; Linglings ... well they floated. That was probably where the wiurn got it, right? This creature hardly qualified as a wiurn! However, it was cool, and looked just enough NOT like a wiurn for Morgan not to be as afraid of it as they probably would be with a true wiurn, with those freaky faceplates and sharp venomous tailspines...

Morgan was, admittedly, baffled about how this process was going to go. Sure, they had picked a spot with plenty of fallen logs for ultimate destruction potential, but actually getting Michiryuu to notice them, let alone attack them, at the current stage of the psycho-social bond was going to be incredibly difficult. Perhaps in the far future, it would become simpler to train these sorts of things, since he would naturally want to do whatever Morgan wanted. Until then, they were just going to have to deal with the combinations of his lower bond and lower intelligence. Sure, the intelligence couldn't really be helped, or rather, wouldn't really be helped, but his bond would eventually make it at least a tad easier, Morgan was sure.
Morgan needed to come up with a game plan to train him this stuff, and they needed to come up with it fast. They'd hoped that they would have come up with something on the way.

Morgan had become a little more spontaneous lately, with this whole training-guild thing. At first, they had figured that it would keep them from being too bored, since they seemed to have more energy since swallowing the chaos node (or rather, they have difficulty sleeping now), but they had grown to enjoy being part of the training-guild. It really wasn't too much work, and it gave them an excuse to go out and study their creatures while training. It was something they would have done anyway, but this gave them that extra motivation to get started. Morgan was actually a little more excited about going back and eventually training Domino again than Michiryuu, to be honest, and they would have vastly preferred to be training most of the stuff they were working on Michiryuu with, to Waar instead. He, of course, was currently out of commission, but Morgan was hopeful that he would be back and ready to go soon.
Michiryuu was just floating there, as per usual, and Morgan really didn't know how they were going to do this, just that they needed to start soon.

Morgan finally decided that like it or not, it was time to train the DANGER Pinata. "Michiryuu." Morgan called out. The beast had not been taught his name yet, but he did recognize the tone. Names really didn't matter when it came to creatures in the long run, it was more about the tone. Michiryuu turns towards Morgan, tilting his head and peering out through those squinted eyes. Morgan grabbed the chain to lead him carefully, and brought the big floaty chicken to a fallen log. Morgan then carefully unwrapped a whole galabex haunch from a trash bag in their backpack, before putting it in the log. Immediately, Michiryuu's attention was piqued. Morgan had made sure not to touch the galabex haunch, and instead took the whistle from around their neck and placed it to their lips. Time to come up with a command for this one, huh? Just which one...

Morgan knew that soon enough, Michiryuu would begin attempting to rip into the log to get the big treat. Well, the treat was quite big for Morgan anyway, but for a Wiurn it was hardly a snack. These things ate more food than the bespectacled human could have imagined before owning one. Morgan decided on a specific whistle; a triple-increasing whistle. Three blasts would be used, relatively short, with increasing pitch. This would be great for use while flying, Morgan figured. Morgan waited until it looked like the wiurn was going to try to claw into the log of interest, and then immediately used the whistle to call out the command. Michiryuu did pause for a moment at the blast of a noise, but ultimately could not be bothered away from his meal. Michiryuu clawed the log experimentally at first; and then immediately backed up and then came forward, putting some real force into trying to get into the log with his claws.

After a moment or two, the huge wiurn finally put some work into the clawing that would certainly make Morgan think more of a 'Rend' than a 'Claw'. That seemed to be correct. Morgan quickly pulled a strip of galabex jerky from the box and tossed it to the wiurn. The sickly sweet words of endearment that most individuals used to let a creature know it did a good job were generally something that Morgan simply replaced with treats. The wiurn took his treat quickly and finished it up in a single gulp. Right when it was about to go back to rend at the log again, Morgan whistled the command. The wiurn still didn't pay too much attention to this at least, and rended into the the log with the strength that came with being a wiurn, putting a lot of muscle into it. Morgan gave him another piece of jerky again, causing him to pause.

This did give the huge wiurn a bit of pause, as he tended to like to get food as fast and easily as possible. He was beginning to pay less attention to the log now, as he swallowed his jerky. He turned and pushed his scaley nose against Morgan's shoulder, looking for more food. Morgan just dealt with this, a quick sigh uttered, and then continued. Morgan brought the whistle to their lips and gave the command quite loudly, the one from earlier. The creature was quite unintelligent, and didn't really understand why the noise was there or what it meant. Morgan gave the command again, and the creature lost interest, and began trying to get into the log again with the rending behavior. It was working quite well, so far! Morgan tossed another treat to the creature, and it snapped up the much easier meal, ignoring the log again. So far, so good.

Morgan knew that it would take more repetition with Michiryuu than it would take with the tat-lungs that Morgan had trained the day before. There was so much work to be done today though, and Morgan knew that it was better that they do it right, instead of half-doing it and having to return later to redo it again this time 'right'. Morgan worked quite hard to do as much training as possible lately, though with Michiryuu they felt like they had the entire world's worth of time to work with him, since he wasn't going to grow anymore. This time, instead of going directly back to the log with relish, Michiryuu kept his attention on Morgan, very sure that they would give him another treat. Morgan was not going to do that of course, and planned on continuing with the training instead. Morgan put the whistle to their lips and made the command again, gesturing over the log.

Repetition, Repetition, Repetition. It was the basis of nearly all training, repetition, positive reinforcement, and ignoring negative or bad behaviors instead of feeding those behaviors. There was always so much work to be done, and repetition was the basis and the bane of nearly all of the training aspects of it. Morgan perhaps hated Repetition most of all, anymore. It used to be such a comfort to perform repetitious tasks, but now it was difficult to focus on it. The node may not have been the best idea, ever, in this respect, but Morgan didn't do anything halfway and then quit completely.
After the command, the creature seemed to be unable to put two and two together, but it does go back after the meat in the log, finally using their rending claws to crack into the log very well. Another quick treat was given to distract him and reward him. The creature finally seemed to get it; as he glanced at the log, and then at the treats. The noise meant something, it would seem.

Morgan could tell that he was beginning to get it from the extra pause he gave. Instead of nudging Morgan this time, he went to tear into the log. Michiryuu tore experimentally at the log, and Morgan shook their head sharply, knowing that the creature wouldn't be able to tell what this meant anyway. Michiryuu stopped, realizing that he wasn't getting any treats, and instead waited. That was what Morgan had been looking for in the training, this change would make future training just a tad easier, the bespectacled human hoped. Morgan put the whistle to their lips and then gave the command for the rending again; hoping that it would stick. The creature certainly heard the whistle; and then struck forward, ripping up the log with their claws. Well, that was working now! The creature stopped, and then looked for the treat that was promised, and was given a galabex jerky piece. Good, good.

Morgan knew that they would be able to move on to the other training bit pretty soon, but they wanted to make sure that it was really understood well by the creature, and if not understood; remembered. Morgan knew that the creature's relatively low intelligence would certainly cause the repetition aspect to be far more important in the long run. After giving the creature the treat, Morgan continued on by calling out the exact command again, and when Michiryuu attacked the log, he was given a galabex jerky strip again. Morgan then gave the wrong command, and when Michiryuu went after the log again, Morgan did not give him a treat. He seemed confused; and that made sense. Morgan figured that they would need more repetition than they had originally thought that they would, at least. Morgan pushed their glasses further up their nose from where they had fallen a bit, and then sighed. Well, here we go again.

Morgan spent much more time after this working with the creature, trying to impose the idea upon his mind that only this one specific command would be the one for the rending action. Eventually, Michiryuu was able to get to the haunch that was in this log, and the log was certainly in splinters at this point, so it was time to move on to another log. Morgan sighed a bit, and used the chain to lead the big floaty creature over to yet another log. Another galabex haunch in a trash bag was produced, and Morgan used the plastic bag to deposit the galabex haunch into the log without actually touching it. After a moment, Morgan put the whistle to their lips and played a bit of a simple tune instead of the command. This time, Michiryuu managed to ignore the haunch enough to realize that this was not THE Noise. Ah, that was good!
