Things were getting into full swing lately, she figured with a little smile. The weather was beautiful and she was just happy all around. Things would be looking up soon, the tournament was going to start soon, and as she led the two little Pachee to the Breeding Center, she hoped Kro would win. If he didn't, it wasn't a big deal, but if he did then she could afford to buy a few things from the Pit prize shop. Right now though, she should really focus on her Pachee pair, a pair of little white Pachee she was hoping would give her an albino. She touched one of the pouches at her hip with a smile on her face, she had a special berry, a magical berry, which she hoped would cause an albino or two to be born. It would be nice at least, and she didn't know what else to do about things just yet, but that was fine. As long as they got to do what they were going to do, she would be alright. Pachee breeding was calming and fun, and she wasn't sure what else to do about things for awhile though. Maybe she needed to start making a list of potential breedings or something.

Without a doubt at least a coat mutation would happen, but she hoped it would happen to both offspring, and if they threw a third kit, she would be thrilled. It was few and far between that Pachee gave more than two kits when a berry was used, but it had happened before, so she knew it would happen again eventually. Now she just needed to get to the center, wait for a room, and then they could breed. Things were looking up, and she knew that things would work out no matter what when it all came down to it as well. Jack smiled a little and shook her head as she glanced down at the little Pachee pair. If it wasn't for Marigold's slit in her forehead and Masher's pollen, they would be impossible to tell apart, so she was happy there were differences to the genders. Most animals in the Labs it was hard to tell unless you looked hard, but these were pretty easy. Orbaru were easy too, just look at the tail, and of course all Lotine were female, which worked out well since they all produced Lola. Everything would work out with these two though, she was sure of it.

They were pretty cute, like all Pachee were, scampering around and looking all over the place. Already Masher was letting some pollen go, but not much. He was an older Pachee than most of the others she had, so he had better control over his pollen than some of them did. It was exciting to be going to the Breeding Center though, whenever they went in pairs like this they knew what was going to happen, especially if it had happened before. All the Pachee knew that if they left in pairs, eventually they would come back with kits as well, which was exciting. Jack smiled down at them again, suppressing a chuckle as best as she could, she loved the species and wanted what was best for them. It just didn't matter what was going to happen right now she though, and she sighed a little at the same time. She just wished it was already over, it was a little boring doing a breeding by herself, and she didn't know what else to do. Of course she could always bring something to work on or read, but what anyway? Deciding on a Pachee pair was hard enough without the added boredom of waiting.

Walking to the Breeding Center was one of the best things she could do at the moment, aside from training or the Gym. She really needed to get Kro's training done before the tournament, she just wasn't sure she would be able to do that yet, she figured. Ah well, she would get it done eventually, and before the tournament began of course. Jack smiled a little as she glanced down at Marigold and Masher, at least they weren't going to be in the tournament, she didn't know what to do if that were to occur. She already had a contestant for a petite tournament, and who knew what the Labs were going to host after this one, or how soon after it was going to come. Oh well, at least she had some time to work on it, she figured with a smile. Jack knew what was going to happen, and she wished she could say something but couldn't. She just hoped Kro would win the tournament to get her some points toward a few things in the Pit prize shop. If not, then maybe the next one they would win, depending on what it was at the moment. Who knew what would be thrown.

The Breeding Center loomed in front of them for a moment, and Jack smiled broadly. She loved this place, she had some fond memories of it as well, and she pushed open the door to let the little pair of Pachee into the waiting room. The attendants were probably getting kind of tired of seeing her, she believed she was the only one who had been coming since it had opened back up, but she was a little addicted and it all worked out after awhile. Jack chuckled and then nodded at the attendant after they marked her down, she hadn't even needed to go up to the counter. They already had all of her information, the only thing that might be needed was information on the Pachee, but they had both been bred a few times before, they could just pull up their records and go from there. Jack knew there were more than one white male and female Pachee out there, or at least she thought there was more than one female, but that didn't really matter, they were the only ones she had at the moment. She just hoped for an albino, she didn't know what to do though.

An albino Pachee would prove difficult, of course, to raise, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to try. There was plenty of shade at the garden, and if she needed to, she could bring it home with her as well. She just hoped this theory panned out for her and she didn't need another color for the eyes or anything. Jack grimaced, what if she needed something different? She'd already tried this before and just got a baby with lighter green markings, but she had to realize something was up at this point. Jack wasn't sure what to expect, she just had her theories and that was it at the moment. Jack gave a little shrug, either it would work or it wouldn't. In the Breeding Center, even though they weren't in a breeding room yet, Masher was letting go a little of his pollen. Things would go well though, Marigold was letting it in, though she looked like she wasn't taking it all in just yet. Maybe she was finally getting picky with her mates, this was the fifth time that she remembered that she had been bred. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing to be picky, it would just make later breedings with her a little more difficult.

If this didn't work, she might try for a white and a tan Pachee, she figured as she watched the two of them sit at her feet, pawing at each other. The tan breed had red eyes, maybe that would work, but she wasn't sure at the moment. Oh well, whatever happened with this breeding, she would be happy with she was sure of it. Jack just hoped for an albino, though she really didn't know why she wanted one so badly. Maybe it was just the thrill of the chase, would she be upset if she finally got one? She frowned at herself, she hoped not, though she could see it happening unfortunately. Whatever happened, at least she would have another couple of kits with mutated coats, that had to count for something. Always, however, she just hoped they would be different than what she already had a the moment, it only made sense, and she didn't want to get stuck with the same thing again and again. No one else was really interested in Pachee, which was a shame, but that was alright she figured with a little shrug, she didn't know what else to do at the moment about it.

Waiting for a room was the worst part, and she didn't really understand why it took so long anyway. Maybe they didn't clean it from the last time until there was something there wanting to do it again. But even that didn't make sense, because they definitely had more than one room she could take them to. Oh well, whatever was going on, at least she knew it would be clean. Leaning back in the chair, she plopped a hand down on Marigold's head and rubbed her fur a little bit, enjoying the soft texture under her fingertips. She knew Masher would feel the same way, but she still reached down with her other hand and patted him as well. If anything, at least the babies would be cute, though she had to realize there was something else she needed to do. Jack closed her eyes for a moment and then shook her head, not knowing what was going to happen was the worst though, she thought with a little frown. Giving anything and everything, she would get two more kits, at least two in the end, and then things would move along. Jack wasn't sure about what to do about things for now, but that was fine.

The room was finally ready and Jack was ready to get going. She stood up and let the little Pachee pair trot to her sides as she followed the attendant to the room she had been in three times before already and then went in. Stretching out, she let them off of their leashes so they could go play. Masher thumped his tail on the floor and let loose a bunch of pollen, which Marigold took in quickly, just in case. Jack laughed a little, they were all so desperate for kits it seemed, she didn't know what to do with things. As she plopped down into a chair, she pulled open one of her pouches and took out a few berries. There was a big blue one to guarantee two kits, a cluster of pink ones to guarantee a female kit would be born, and then the big pink one, the magical berry, the one she hoped would give her an albino. She really didn't know why she wanted one so badly, but it all worked out in the end she figured. Tossing them toward the Pachee, she leaned back and watched as they eyed the three berries for a few moments.

They both stared at the berries for a little bit before they both picked one to pounce one. Masher went for the blue berry and Marigold went for the cluster of pink berries. As Masher jumped, more pollen escaped into Marigold's forehead slit, and Jack really hoped this would work. She smiled a little and then watched as they sucked the nutrients from the berries with the tendrils on their paws and then they shyly shared the last one, the magical berry, the one where all of this edged on. If it didn't work, then it didn't work she thought as she watched them run off after the berries were sucked dry, and at least she had a little supply of these berries no matter what. She needed to get to Nature's Bounty soon to pick up some more berries from Turner, but the magical berries were rare and from the gardens. There was a small chance of getting them from a Leaf-Scatter once a year, and it was late in the year. She had missed her window for getting more, but that was fine, she might get some more at the end of this year. Now wouldn't that be a sight to see?
