A single shell lays at your feet, rippled across quite beautifully. At the end of your lure; a gorgeous glowing fish.

Jack was fairly excited about the prospect of getting something from the lure she had used, and she wondered if anything would really happen due to it or not, but it was going to be fun to see no matter what she figured with a little smile on her face. Ember was excited to, and she told her as much as she sat there behind the woman trying to fish and see what she could get. The plant and the first fish were good enough for now, but they both wanted more and more than that of course. That was the whole point of fishing wasn't it? See how much you got and then decide what to do with it later, right? Jack smiled a little bit and then shook her head a little, chuckling. She was impatient, but you needed patience for fishing, definitely, she hoped that things were going to do well for her for awhile.

Nothing was happening, but it sometimes took awhile to fish, she knew that, she'd fished for most of her life, she liked fish, she liked to care for them, like Seryn, and eat them as well, like the fish from the river. Sometimes she might put them into her fish tank at home, but oftentimes she didn't, opting to eat them or sell them, trade them even if she could. Jack leaned back on Ember and looked at the sky as the clouds gathered and darkened. It was going to storm here pretty soon, at least from the sound of the thunder slowly getting closer. If it got really bad, she would take shelter in a cave not far from where they were at, but if it wasn't bad she would just wait it out and continue to fish. It worked out no matter what she figured, and she smiled a little as she leaned on Ember to fish a little bit more.

Jack yawned a little and then sat up when she thought she saw something floating in the river a little bit. She leaned forward and peered into the water to see a shell laying there peacefully, simply existing for the moment. She smiled a little and leaned forward to pick it up from the sand. She rinsed it off in the water and nodded at it before dropping it into the bucket with the plant she had found earlier. It would work out great she figured with a little nod, and she went back to fishing and all that. It was a peaceful thing to do, even with the storm looming in the distance. It was going to be nice though, she thought with a smile, she loved the storms and everything they brought. She didn't know what to do at the moment aside from fish, but that was fine. She grinned, she loved this time of year.

Nothing was going to work out if she didn't catch any fish, and she sighed a little as she thought about it. Jack glanced upward again as she leaned against Ember once more, the storm was rolling in closer, already it had cooled down quite a bit and she wasn't sure when the rain was going to hit. As soon as she thought that, the mist started and it started sprinkling a little. If it stayed like this, then things would be fine. At least the cave she was thinking of was close to the shoreline of the river so she could keep fishing in relative peace. Thunder rumbled and lightning hit not too far away, making her laugh a little even though Ember jumped a bit. She was alright with storms, but not quite okay with the thunder and lightning. Whenever it struck she always tended to jump, which boded ill for the pair for now.

Jack packed up her stuff and shooed Ember into the cave ahead of her. She even took the stringer and put the fish she had found into the bucket with her, making sure to pack everything up. If her beloved Draconic couldn't handle the storm, they would then pack up and move so she wasn't in the storm. Jack had a calming effect on the Draconic as well, and she calmed down once Jack leaned against her again in the dry cave, away from the thunder and lightning. Jack was still toward the front of the cave, but that was fine, at least she was shielding Ember just a little bit as time went on from the rain. Giving a little laugh, she nuzzled into Ember's side a little bit as she wondered if she was going to find anything as time were fine. Well, depending on what she found, things would be fine.

Apparently moving into the cave was a good move, as something finally tugged at the line and she managed to hook and pull up a lovely, glowing green fish, one that she was intent on keeping because of it's color. Her animals would like it too she figured, and she smiled over at Ember who was still a little stressed about the storm than anything else at the moment. She paused her small freak out to look at the green fish before it was dropped into the bucket and then resumed hiding her eyes a little behind front paws. Jack rubbed the Draconic's back for a little while with a smile on her face as it thundered and poured rain outside for a little while, wondering when the storm was going to let up, if it was going to let up at all. It wouldn't be the first time a storm lasted all night, and definitely not the last.

Ember didn't like storms and didn't really know why, which was terrible during the rainy season in the Canyon. It was fine though she knew, she wouldn't have it any other way, her father enjoyed storms more than anything else at this point she figured with a smile on her face, even as she shivered from the storm. It was fine she thought, as long as Jack was there helping her out, even though she was fishing it was still helping her out a little bit by her being there, she figured, and the woman smiled back at her as she tossed her line back into the river for another fish. It was going to be fine she knew then, and even though the storm raged outside the cave, the two were relatively peaceful in the cave itself it seemed. It was quiet in the cave, something that couldn't be said of the outside.

Everything was going to go well for them, Jack was sure of it as time went on. She'd caught a couple of fish so far, gotten a shell and a plant, and that was enough for her at the moment. She grinned a little bit as she cast the line again after reeling in nothing. Sure she was a pretty good fisherman, but nothing else was going to work for her at the moment, she was rather good at everything she tried after all, but that just meant everything was on a level playing field. Ember was part of that she supposed, but she didn't know what else to do for things right now. She sighed a little and leaned against the big female Draconic, she wasn't as big as Jack had hoped for, but she was big enough for her and that was all that mattered she figured with a little smile.

Things were fine even though the storm was rolling in front of them outside the cave. She smiled a little as she looked over at Ember and then wondered if things would be okay at the same time. Ember seemed to be twitchy about the storm, but that was fine, she was doing better than she had when it first started at least. Jack pushed a hand through her hair and cast the line again, wondering what was going to happen if she pulled in another fish. She was really hunting for plants and shells, though it would be easier if she just hunted for them instead of fished, but that was alright, she wasn't going to go out in the storm and do that at the moment. Maybe once it turned down a little bit things would work out better with the shells, but she really didn't know as of yet it seemed.

It was going to be great she figured as something bit at her line again after she lost her lure. The last fish, the green glowing one had lost it somehow, but that was alright. Ember asked her what she was planning on doing and Jack simply shrugged, "Just gotta set the hook and reel it in now!" She grinned behind herself and then turned back as she yanked the rod back and set the hook in the fish's cheek before she reeled it in. What she reeled in was another of the green glowing fish it seemed! And without a lure this time? Jack laughed a little and unhooked it before tossing it into the bucket with the others. At this rate she was going to have an interesting aquarium back home it seemed. Maybe one of her aquatic pets would want to take care of a little fish as well it seemed.

Everything was fine after she caught the second glowing fish, and she tossed the line in again to see what could be found, if anything. She was pleased with her haul so far, but it didn't matter at the moment, she wanted to get what she wanted to get and that was plants and shells. If only she could get some, that would be great! Chuckling a little to herself, she leaned against Ember again as the storm went on outside, and she wondered what she was going to do about things as time went on. Jack pushed her hair back and glanced around the cave, it looked like it had been under water at some point in the past, not recently at all, but way back when, before the Labs was even built close to the Canyon. It was nice to see that things worked out enough and that it was close by the river though.

Jack teased the line a little as Ember watched her, until she finally set the hook into another fish and pulled it in. It was a fighter, though it wasn't all that big at the moment it seemed. Jack chuckled a little bit and shook her head, a little unsure of what to do about things as the pink striped fish flailed around on the end of the line, but hey, at least she was getting fish, that was all that mattered at the moment. She took the fish off of the line and chucked it into the bucket before leaning on Ember again, who was sniffing at the new fish a little bit, and casting her line again. She couldn't wait to see if there was something else that was going to be found, she hoped there would be, after all, even if a plant came onto her hook she wouldn't be too disappointed, at least it was something.
