Name: Jinx
Species: Human
Gender: female
Age: 19
Birthday: October 29th
Orientation: unknown
Status: single
Weapon of Choice: None
Job: Stablehand/Trainer at Zanarkand
Friends/Acquaintences:
Ashe - boss
Tala - Acquaintance
Vixen - Acquaintance
Physical Description:
She stands at 5'9, thin with small but proportional breasts, with rich brown hair that falls in a wavy curtain to her waist. Occasionally it is pulled up in a ponytail or a "fishtail braid" to the side. Her shape falls just short of hourglass, and her legs are toned from traveling on foot. Her skin is smooth with a 'healthy' tan, decorated with tattoos here and there, her biggest and most noticeable being a pair of wings that cover her back. She wears black eye liner, which brings out the blue in her gray eyes.
On the right ear, she has a cartilage band at the top, connected by a thin bronze colored chain to a pierced lobe, which has a few speckled brown feathers hanging from it. The other ear has just the feathers hanging from a lobe piercing.
Jinx's outfits range from nude (for swimming) to sheer gowns to fully covered. She has a free spirit, a lack of modesty, and no shame; raised from birth as a princess, with attendants to dress her, and no one daring to insult royalty, led to great confidence. Most commonly, in the casual public, she can be found in a belly dancer's outfit: black bikini with dangling tassels, tied behind the neck and under the shoulder blades, with a skirt that may go down to her calves. However, when she is traveling, training, or working, she has on the proper coverings; a murp hide outfit offering light protection over her skin. Chest plate over tunic, pants, and boots.

Mental and/or Social Description:
She is confident (perhaps overly so) and easy going. Not much bothers her. She's already been through the worst she could imagine, and she survived; surely nothing else could affect her. She is a very determined young lady, and is diligent in her practices, but she does not trust too easily. She will be warm and kind and appear to open up to strangers, yet they will find they know very little about her.
Struggling with budding psychic powers, ranging from snippets of the future to 'hearing' a single thought from a person, she practices control and focus by honing her skills in divination and the art of contacting spirits. She wishes to one day commune with dragons, as she did in her homeland, but that power seems to have left her with the fall of Melusine. She finds people either accept her, or think her mad, with little in between.
On a rare occasion, she might break under the weight of her task, her history, and the threat of impossibility. She does not fear that she will fail, she fears that there is no possible way.
History:
Once upon a time, a princess was born to the King and Queen of the kingdom known as Lymeria, nestled in a valley below Mount Dracon. Times were prosperous, but only through a pact made between sister deities: The dragons Melusine and Ion.
Hundreds of years previous, Lymeria and the neighboring kingdom of Auranos had fought with such ferocity over land and riches that they woke the sleeping sisters from under the mountain. Angered at being awakened by mortals for such foolery, they nearly laid waste to the lands, until the Queen of Lymeria, who was touched by Magic, was able to cast a spell that linked each dragon to a kingdom, and therefore their very lives depended on the survival of the lands. Melusine to Lymeria, Ion to Auranos. The queens of the two kingdoms were able to come together in love and unity and use their link to speak with the sisters, eventually forming a peaceful pact between them and convincing them to return to their lairs. From then on, the female lineage from either side has been able to communicate, through psychic means and meditation, with the slumbering dragons. The dragons offer immense wisdom, guidance, advice, and become a part of the future queen as their bond strengthens. In rare cases, the dragons have even extended the life of a queen. Under this, both kingdoms grew and prospered, and the dragons' power each grew with it.
As things tend to do while time passes, things changed. Speaking with the dragon became ritual, almost religion. It was a deep honor and not much more, the life threatening danger long past. Rumors and prophecies sprouted up, came to pass, or went away. One prophecy lingered longer than most, and though it was widely dismissed, it, too, came to pass. It spoke of a boy born in the dead of winter who would be born with so much magic that he would shatter the link binding the sisters and wake them once again, rousing their wrath, and the kingdoms would be destroyed. The prophecy was worded in such a way that made the Queens the enemies, the dragons the victims. It came to pass on the princess's sixteenth birthday. Born as Princess Keldra, having been trained in the art of communion, Jinx (as she would later be known) tried everything she was capable of to reach Melusine. But the link she had come to treasure was gone, ripped apart from her soul. The dragons raged, both kingdoms were lost, and no one knows what became of the sister's after the desolation.
Keldra was able to escape, along with a few others, and she's been on a quest to strengthen her magic, her psychic abilities, and one day find Melusine. Her dream is to restore her kingdom, but with each passing day, it seems to be an impossible task. She is not quite all present, the rift left in her by the diety so deep she often teeters on the edge, if not plunging right into madness. She can become reckless, and this often leads to this closest to her getting hurt. Hence, Jinx.
Because of her reputation, and ensuing loneliness, she feels she has nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Goals:
[] Master these powers
[] Rediscover the ability to speak to dragons
[] Return to her homeland and try to reverse the damage done
