Renathan always hated these trips to the ZI to sell, and luckily he didn't do them often. He'd done one other previously that he remembered, so long ago that he didn't exactly remember what he sold? It could not have been much, anyway. Not as much as he was bringing this time. Even more sad was that there wasn't really anything he wanted to buy today. He already had so many creatures that downsizing was something he'd been meaning to do, after all. Renathan stepped in with a bit of a heavy heart, leaving the carefully crated creatures outside on the cart he'd had paid to be pulled here. "Good morning." He called out to the shopkeeper, knowing that this will probably be a sore point. "I have a few creatures I'd be interested in selling." That was kind of a bit of an undersell, he guessed, there were quite a few actually. "Some of them are still babies, which I am sure will make them pretty marketable. Some Customs, a VSC, three offspring, and a cross."
Mavrik slowly got off of the chair he was sitting on for a moment, taking a bit of a break from taking care of the animals and nodded heavily. "Sure, let's see what you have here. How many customs? For the VSC, offspring, and halfbreed, if you have the right numbers you've brought, then I'd give 925 credits. Depends on how many customs you've got to see how much more I'll pay," he told the man, eying the cart outside.
Renathan had been quite nervous when he walked in, but he was feeling a bit better now. He smiled beneath the mask and then lowered his antlers at the man before continuing. "That price certainly sounds great for those mentioned, thank you sir. He nodded softly. "I have four customs with me today." He waved for the man to follow him to look at them. They were all in good shape of course, he fed all of his creatures carefully, but he just didn't really have the space for creatures he wasn't planning on training at some point. "Thank you, would you like to come take a look at them?" He was sure that the man would. Though Renathan was not himself a con-artist, he was sure that there were probably plenty enough of them that would try to sell either inferior creatures that were about dead, or worse, dyed fur. He was sure that this shop keeper knew his stuff and would be able to tell past that kind of thing, but he wanted to show that he wasn't going to be any issues.
"1725, that's what I'll give you then," Mavrik told him with a nod as he headed outside. Hey, if the man was going to offer, he should take him up on it. He had a few glances with a trained eye, a Sarane? Interesting. Reaching out, he touched a few of them, feeling for bald spots and coarse fur that would mean it had been altered. "Yeah, 1725 credits, that's what I'm offering," he reiterated as he finished his inspection.
That sounded great to Renathan; he really hadn't expected to get so much. It was a goodly amount, at least! Renathan smiled beneath the mask but nodded serenely, knowing that the creatures shouldn't be too hard for the man to get inside the building and into quarantine, or whatever else he did with the creatures, Renathan was sure that this man know his stuff. "Yes sir, 1725 credits sounds like a good price to me." He nodded in agreement. "Would you like me to help you get them inside? I know that there are quite a few." It was true, at least, and he was a skilled animal trainer himself, even if he wasn't as skilled at what this shopkeeper did of course. "Thank you, sir, for taking a look at them and all." Renathan was still a bit sheepish about the creatures, but he was sure they would be taken well good care of, at least.
Mavrik waved him off and went inside to get the credits, putting them in a pouch and handing them over to him, "No, I can get them no problem." He stood and stared at the new animals for a moment. Well then, time to find some more room again.
Renathan gingerly took the pouch, fighting the urge to think about this in a more sad way. He knew these creatures would be well taken care of, and he knew that they would eventually get really good owners, he just knew of it! Just because he couldn't sell them at his quite up-there price doesn't mean that Mavrik couldn't sell them at his reasonable one. That was the idea anyway, right? The mammalian lowered his antlers gently toward the floor in a slight bow. "Alright sir, thank you very much." He didn't spare a look over the creatures this time, there was no need to. They were here now, and that was fine. He knew that this shop keeper could really do his stuff. The downsizing was important to Renathan, anyway. The mammalian went ahead and left with the pouch, with only a spare glance towards the end that was quickly muffled as he shifted out into the crowd.
Morgan: No one knows yet. But I did want to make it clear that the jar itself isn't used for lotine husbandry in any way. c:

Twilight-Claw: I'm only assuming that it does something similar like a Fungal Beast that infects a Leaf-scatter. (the one with moss and I think it was a pink flower growing on the head.)

Silver: I'll try it soon and we'll find out!

Silver: I don't think anyone knows yet!

Darky: What did the 'infection' do again?
Jun 5, 2020 4:14:43 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for this information, its really useful to know! <3
Jun 5, 2020 4:14:30 GMT -6
Morgan: The lolatic doesn't disappear after one use, and can be reused on the same lotine when it is allowed to 'infect' a lotine- to my knowledge.
Jun 5, 2020 1:41:37 GMT -6
Morgan: The only effect/thing that the jar can be used for is to open up into a lolatic. The jar itself has no use in lotine breedings.
Jun 5, 2020 1:39:52 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: and the jar is then gone, if with the creature I am more guessing with this the creature doesn't disappear and it has unlimited use.
Jun 5, 2020 0:17:55 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Something else I am wondering about with the Lotine breeding is whether one would use the jar the Lolatic comes from in the breeding, or actually the creature itself. I'm assuming with it if its the jar, then it gives people only one shot in a breeding,
Jun 5, 2020 0:16:08 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Then using it in my rps is definitely just for the sake of rp's and not for anything additional.
Jun 5, 2020 0:12:17 GMT -6
Renathan: Fish are unlimited use once bought though. c:
Jun 4, 2020 22:31:17 GMT -6
Renathan: There's no additional effect for adding a fish to a magical berry in a lotine breeding. Magical Berry is kinda it's own thing. Adding a fish for roleplay value shouldn't hurt, but it has no effect when used on a magical berry lotine breeding.
Jun 4, 2020 22:27:14 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: be just for the sake of rp, and perhaps seeing if it might lent a bigger chance to multiple offspring with unique pattern. X3
Jun 4, 2020 15:31:01 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: I think your right on it being unlimited use yeah, although.. *cough* I only found out a couple hours after I started writing that I had yet to buy the fish in question so used the one you could get for free as a replacement, it still was meant to mostly
Jun 4, 2020 15:30:59 GMT -6
Riku: From what I loosely understand about the fish is that it isn't one-use, whereas the berry is. I feel like there wouldn't be any consequence of 'using' the fish...which I'd think just ooc wouldn't be counted for whatever rolls or whatever it is that it uses
Jun 3, 2020 14:14:30 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?
Jun 1, 2020 6:09:21 GMT -6
Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.
Jun 1, 2020 6:02:21 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)
Jun 1, 2020 5:36:49 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: I am still interested in trading it for a green drake.
