"Shigeru, let me tell you what I know about this place." Morgan stops on the path, conveying through the tat-lung ring, labs sign language, and common. The bespectacled human had just recently bought a book to learn how to speak this, and as per usual, had learned it very quickly and was now definitely fluent in it above all else. "This is 'The Mansion'. It is an interesting place that, according to Lore, is a bit like a scary haunted house. However, it uses some unknown mechanism to change itself to celebrate the holidays each month that the Labs denizens celebrate." Morgan waited for a moment, and the tiny tat-lung seemed to give an affirmative, even if he didn't completely understand the entire spiel. "You may see some very interesting things here, let me know if you want to stop and look at anything specific." Morgan spoke, conveyed, and signed, and then gestured.

Morgan was not sure how long they would be here today; probably until Shigeru got bored, that was Morgan's thought anyway. However, that would hopefully be a long while. Morgan had been planning on starting his training process soon, the exact same one that Morgan used with Seimei and Ryuusei. The idea to keep Seimei and Ryuusei together was a great one, since Ryuusei did very well keeping Seimei's anxiety in check from what Morgan could tell. However, Shigeru was way too small to leave with them all hours of the day, and was kept near Morgan thusfar, to make sure that he didn't get hurt. Shigeru would be integrated with the others as soon as he caught up to their development. In order to do that, Morgan was going to focus just on him for a while, that way he could get better. The Mansion appeared to be cooperative today; as cooperative as a surely nonliving thing could be.

Morgan figured that there was a 'lore-magic bullcrap' version as to why the mansion was being particularly kind this month to them. Most individuals would probably spout some bull about it being magical, and that this month was dedicated to Chaos, and Choas must favor Morgan after swallowing a chaos node, right? Morgan knew that it was what the books would say, but Morgan refused to believe that even 'magic' was truly magical; it must have some kind of scientific backing. Science wouldn't 'work' if it couldn't explain all forces that it eventually was able to attempt to do after arduous experimentation in order to replicate situations and make sure that the suppositions were correct (often, they were not and required more experimentation). This was considered, by Morgan, a noble pursuit in the attempt to gather knowledge. Magic just being considered 'magic' and 'it does what it does' was just ridiculous!

Morgan had as much information about the tat-lungs that they could get their hands on, but even that information could easily be faulty, especially since Morgan felt a little strange about the idea of the tat-lung all being created by the Labs. There was no way that they could really create something that was not only a 'real' dragon, but also far more intelligent than the humanoids of the world, right? Morgan was unsure as to what to think of it, and only hoped that the information they had received was correct enough to properly care for them. Morgan dragged the wagon down the path, carefully bringing it to a stop when they saw something a little strange; one of those waving-red fields of what looked like ruby wheat; but it was in no way wheat, Morgan knew. "Look at that, Shigeru. That is one of the odd things that the mansion shows us sometimes. When the wind blows, fireworks go off from them. That is not what wheat normally does." Morgan explained, in triplicate at once, with their hands, voice, and the tat-lung ring.

Morgan was finding it fun and interesting to try to explain the things that they saw. Little Shigeru probably didn't have any information to really test this against, and Morgan wasn't sure what was the best way to try to explain it; which made it very fun. "Do you see the plants? They need light from the sun to grow, and water. They receive nutrients from the ground. The ground is made out of tiny weathered down rocks, and material from living things. The plant then creates a sugar; so that it can grow and perform life functions. It breathes in, like you or me, Carbon dioxide, and then breathes out oxygen. We need oxygen, that is what we breathe. In this way, the world has many cycles." Morgan explained, using all three methods of communication so that the tat-lung would hopefully eventually learn it. "Cycles are very important for life to exist."

It was not long before something interesting did happen; a wind blew by, and it rolled across the ruby wheat that the mansion had in it's yard during this time. At this, the disturbed heads of the grain opened up and released fireworks in red and gold. They were beautiful flying up into the sky and exploding. Morgan realized that it was releasing seeds; which fell onto the ground around it. Morgan's mouth shaped into a small 'o' as they were quite curious; they'd seen this earlier on during the month, but it was very dark at the time, and Morgan had not seen the seeds. Morgan looked excited as they pulled out a clipboard and began writing on it. "Shigeru, that is really neat! See those things falling down? Those are seeds. They will bury into the ground eventually, and then grow into a new plant." Morgan explained, in triplicate.

Explaining things like this was certainly Morgan's favorite hobby when working with the tat-lungs. Seimei and Ryuusei were soaking up information at an incredibly fast rate. Of course, Morgan had not yet had time to work with Shigeru like that; he was new, after all. He did seem to be just as intelligent as Seimei and Ryuusei, it seemed to be understanding thanks to Morgan's hand signs, speaking, and using the tat-lung ring in order to get the information across. Someday, Morgan hoped to teach all three of them the sign language, but it would take a long time to get it fixed up, that way. The tiny tat-lung was so small! Morgan had not seen Seimei and Ryuusei at this stage. Shigeru excitedly gave an affirmative, despite being unable to truly form too many ideas into the tat-speech yet. Morgan cracked a grin; showing a tad bit of weakness before squashing that, suddenly regaining composure.

It would be best, Morgan knew, if they really had any background in understanding how to work with, dare they think it; children. That is what the tiny creatures were, after all. Tat-lungs were sentient, so the pre-mature ones were, in fact, children, in all points of the word. They were fish, yes, and tied to water, but they were basically children. Adolescent super magical dragons of high intellect, but adolescents in fact. Morgan wasn't sure how to deal with kids; young kids made them nervous. Children absorbed everything, and Morgan wasn't sure if they were really ready to deal with educating children. Yet here they are. Perhaps the intellect and capacity for understanding practically everything would make up for the weaknesses that Morgan would present by not having this crucial knowledge base? Leave it to Morgan to be woefully ignorant of some of the most important aspects of dealing with young people. They needed parents, of a sort, perhaps even tat-lungs.

Morgan had a parent, when they were younger. They didn't have a second parent; they were told their mother died when they were too young to remember, and they really didn't know anything about them. They never asked a whole lot, mostly because they had noticed how sad their father had looked when they asked; how sore it seemed to have made him. Morgan was not in the business of upsetting their father, they loved him too much, didn't want to cause any pain. Morgan's father disappeared when they were 12; they had felt so old when they were that old, like an adult, like they could truly take care of theirself and like they were not truly ready, but ready enough. However, Morgan was not ready, not really. It had been a long and arduous road. Morgan perhaps did not know how to be a parent, hadn't really known a parent long enough to learn from them; and they hoped that Shigeru would not be affected too harshly by this.

There was often a lot of consideration, previously, before doing things. Morgan, for years, did not own pets of their own. They had always expected or wanted their father to return, and when he came back, his pets would need their homes back, right? His seryn would need the aquarium, his sarane would need the barn, his houluh and malii would need the house, right? So Morgan waited, and didn't touch a single thing, hoping that father would return with his creatures. He never did. Eventually, Morgan began adopting creatures, Morgan adored keeping creatures and missed feeling close to things around the house. Finally; Morgan broke through, and admitted that dad would never return. How does one truly parent? Morgan had not considered this previously, until they were here, standing in the mansion's grounds, staring into the eyes of a young fish-formed Tat-lung that was looking right back at Morgan like they were... A parent.

The world seemed to return to normal motion after this. The ruby grass continued swaying beneath the ministrations of the wind; and as it swayed and bowed, it would release the fireworks-like flame and sulfurous scent, which spread the seeds. Shigeru was staring at it with mild wonder, and Morgan knew that it was because they were able to explain to the creature what exactly was happening. Just what was Shigeru thinking? Morgan would like to have been able to know, but knew that it would be a good while before the young creature learned to be able to communicate in any levels. It would be a while before any of them got the limb dexterity required to learn the sign language, at the very least. Thanks to the tat-lung ring, Morgan could communicate with them decently enough. "Do you want to go look at something else, or stay right here for a moment?" Morgan finally asked. This was, in fact, Shigeru's show today.

The world was quite beautiful here, and Morgan was hardly paying attention to it. However, something off to the side had began moving, catching both the attention of the bespectacled human and the young tat-lung fish. "What is that, do you think?" Morgan conveyed, slowly getting the knack of speaking, signing, and conveying through the ring's ability all at once. "Do you think it is a new interesting thing?" The human took the handle in hand and then began to talk towards the moving bush they could see not far away. The bush itself was quite incredibly odd; it had what looked like infinitely multicolored tangles of sweeping firework-like tassels. "Look at that..." Morgan conveyed alone, this time, still pulling along the wagon. Shigeru moved his gaze over to the strange multicolored bush. Morgan kept away from it, for one because it was shaking, and for two because it could be dangerous.
