Xandrew meandered around town looking up a the shop signs. A kindly stranger had told him which street to take find the Hook, Line, and Sinker shop, but Xandrew was never that great with directions as he became easily confused when he head too much at the same time without being directly shown. Xandrew had been walking for what seemed like hours before he finally came across the shop. The place looked like it could blow away at any moment, or drift away if flooding ever occurred. Xandrew opened the front door and stepped in. Along the walls, shelving, and counters he saw many instruments that reminded him of home. He reached out and ran his fingers along a large fishing net hanging from the wall and remembered his grandfather showing him how tie knots. Xandrew relished the memory and set about finding what he needed. After he found all the items, Xandrew greeted the shopkeeper with a hearty hello and offered out his hand.
Ka'shisk thought it strange to be extended a hand in greeting, but shook his hand anyway with a smile on her face, sharp teeth glistening in the light. "Hello, how can I assssisssst you today?" she asked after the greeting.
"Your shop reminds me of home and times of boyhood. My grandfather taught me how to tie knots on a net similar to the one on the wall." Xandrew pointed toward the hanging net. "I am looking into gathering the supplies necessary to start going on regular fishing trips, and I think I've found most of what I need." Xandrew walks around the shop and picks up what he wanted and then rests it atop the shop counter. "I've even made myself a new draconic friend whom is eager to go with me as well." Xandrew looks down at all the gear and takes another moment to reminisce as he calculates the approximate total of his intended purchases. "I believe you will be seeing me in here fairly regularly to sell the fish I don't intent to use myself. I'll be sure to keep them alive and healthy, if that is they way your prefer them."
"Ah, I am happy I am here then, if only to remind ssssomeone of their passt," she told him with a smile and a nod, "Pleassse take your time." She stood behind the counter and watched as he picked up a few things, a net, a pole, boots, lots of bait, absolutely perfect! "We prefer healthy, if you pleassse," Ka'shisk told him with a nod, "That will be 353 creditsss."
"I didn't fully realize how much stuff I needed. It's good that I brought a backpack with me to carry the smaller items in. Even then, I'm going to be carrying a large load in my arms." Xandrew winks with a smile holding and presenting a thumbs up. He pulls off his backpack and sits it on the counter and begins fishing through it for his monies. Between the two of them, Xandrew hands over the correct amount of credits and thanks the shop keeper. "Do you have any advice about catching different kinds of fish? Which baits work well for big fish or more rare catches? I can catch more of the ones you'd like to have in your shop that way." Xandrew winks again. Xandrew begins sorting the items he's purchasing into different piles: one for his backpack and the other that he intends to carry in his hands.
"Jussst try bait and try it often, that'sss the bessst way I can explain," Ka'shisk said, taking the offered credits and then producing another bag from behind the counter if he wanted to use another one. They were nice and cloth, like what the other shopkeepers used, after all. "I'll buy the little onesss, not the big onesss," she said as well.
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?

Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.

Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)

Riku: I got three pet levels and 15c out of it. <3 And all the necessary posts for my job salary form.

Riku: In mine my crossbreed used foxfire to burn it - but then it used incendiary illusion, which was extra scary because my cross is a plant pet with thick fur. It used the distraction to escape. I’m proud of it, and it’s okay that I won’t finish this month.

Renathan: *But of course, the RNG was not having that. / In Morgan's story, the Nyssa was a real thing, so I wanted to have two different situations for the variety.
May 31, 2020 18:15:27 GMT -6
Renathan: Yeah, the 'finished the story but the RNGods are being a butt' thing is a rather unfortunate situation to be in. I had already decided that in Ren's story, the elderly woman had lied about the nyssa and just wanted someone to talk to*

Riku: That makes sense. I've considered that before. -nod- I hope your non-hxr life is going smoothly.

Haix: Just quitting the job. Don't believe I'll be making the ten posts required per month any time soon. XD
May 31, 2020 16:34:01 GMT -6
Riku: Note to haix, I believe you can post the new application form at the same time as the quitting form. Unless you are simply taking an overall break from the job system.

Fiera Ferella: even AT the gardens yet. XD It sucks when you've finished writing your story and haven't gotten a success, because then its like "well... now what?" XD
May 31, 2020 15:51:47 GMT -6
Fiera Ferella: ive found that when there's a quest that might take longer like this, its a good idea to try and space out the story beats to try and roll a success before i get to the meat of the story. XD Like, by the time i was 5 posts in my character wasn't
