Xandrew took his time in admiring the purple creature, and he actually liked the color quite a lot. It reminded him of the special shell that he had given to Concha not long before. He especially liked the glistening of the creature's skin in the light, and to him it almost shimmered in the late afternoon light. He inched once more toward the right spot and continued to ever so slowly put his net in the correct position. Xandrew wondered what the creature's abilities were like. "How quick was it? How did it defend itself?" Xandrew smiled to himself. "For now, I hope its rather slow, at least compared to me." He continued to inch toward the right spot and content on his progress thus far, but the little creature didn't always move in the desired direction, which was to be expected. Concha watched intently from her chosen spot and whispered again to Gulpy. "I wonder what it is? Maybe its a big scary monster!" She giggled and splashed water in Gulpy's direction who in turn raised its head out of the water and spit water back at Concha. Xandrew kept his movement slow and unthreatening. "I may only get one shot," he thought.

There was a pause from the splashing, and it decided to turn already and go back the way it came. Ponderously it turned, even though it was quick in one direction, it was difficult to turn, which might be what gave the man his shot. For now, it was mainly concerned with the splashing, that usually meant a predator, and so it tried to leave again, maybe its school was back this way.

Concha had been the most still and quiet that Xandrew had ever seen. The sheer amount of energy and willpower she was expending to remain quiet and still must have been exhausting. Gulpy was curiously still as well. It was almost as if he knew that drawing too much attention from Concha would break her concentration. Xandrew continued to follow the cute little purple tentacled creature with patience. He had noticed that when the cretaure tried to turn it had great difficulty doing so, and slowed it down considerably. It also was not terribly fast moving in the water otherwise, which gave him confidence that it was only a mater of time that the little creature would be dangling from his net shortly. Xandrew smiled to himself, for he saw the right time to strike. He moved the net as it turned with difficulty attempting to snag the little creature in the long handled net. The water made a splooshing sound when he drug the net suddenly through it. He didn't expect the water to turn a inky black color; however, as it drug the net around and upward from the water. With a big smile, Xandrew held the net up for Concha to see.

The little Squirt squirmed and wriggled around, flopping a bit as it was caught up in the net. What was this? What had happened? It would never find anything ever again!
[You have successfully caught the Squirt!]

The net oozed some ink as the creature attempted, to avail, squirm free of its prison. Xandrew walked out of the water slowly and showed Cocha his catch. Concha looked over the top of the net and saw the wriggling purple creature. "Its pretty!" She went to put her face closer to inspect it further. "Don't get too close, I've never seen one of these creatures before, so I'm not sure how dangerous it is." Xandrew cautioned Concha. She giggled and moved closer anyway. The squirt responded by squirting water onto Concha's face. "AHHHH!" Concha fell backward into the water. Floating on top of it, she held up one arm and proceeded to sink. "It got me!" Gulpy swam up to Concha and mimicked her by floating on his side putting out a single bubble at a time. Concha righted herself and laughed. "Yeah, that's 'really' dangerous. Dangerously cute that is. What are you going to name it?" Xandrew moved further toward his prepared aquatic storage spot and replied. "I'm not sure yet. How about you think of something great to name it?" Concha giggled and dropped back into the water and appeared several yards away. "Okay, I'll think of the best name!"

Day one of fishing had been pretty good, but Xandrew thought to himself that he would try his luck for a bit longer before fixing dinner for everyone. Xandrew waded out into the water once more and lowered the net into the water. Moving it to and fro was becoming taxing. He had not realized that the simple action of moving the around and lifting it had taken so much out of him. He put his hand on his stomach to feel the bump that had accumulated over the last few months. "Man, I am out of shape." He thought to himself. "If I keep this up though, I will be able to shed a bit." He smiled. Concha had begun to lose steam and was getting tired, and even Gulpy appeared to be slowing down as he was darting to the surface and jumping over Concha anymore. "This next catch will mark the end of a good day." He whispered to himself. Xandrew readied the net and brought it under the surface gently and then brought it back around with swift, deliberate technique arcing it upward toward the surface of the water to reveal the contents of his net.

Xandrew held the little creature up in his net to get a better look at it now that it was above the water. Its skin glistened in the sun as it struggled against the walls of the net desperately to no avail. Concha swam up to the net to get a closer look as well, while Gulpy continued to swim circles around her. Concha held out a finger toward the little creature's tentacle and asked "What is it?" Xandrew stated that it was called a Squirt and to not get too close or... He trailed off as the Squirt pushed water out of its mouth straight into Concha's face and mouth. Concha shrieked and splashed backward into the water, and Xandrew could not stifle the rumble that was building in his stomach and he began to laugh boisterously. Concha came back up out of the water splashing and embarrassed. "Stop laughing!" she cried. Xandrew tried to regain his composure, but Gulpy, coming to the rescue of his friend, sprang out of the water in a glistening arc and spewed water out of his own mouth onto the squirming little squirt. Xandrew and Concha both erupted into laughter as the puzzled, little squirt recoiled against the wall of the net.
