Please note... - The last date to post your introduction post is the 23rd of May. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 3 days to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 3 day deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Renathan was already feeling like he had made the worst decision of his life. He'd heard that this was going to be a horrific nightmare, but somehow, he felt like this was even worse than he thought it was going to be. The pair had worked so hard to train for something like this, but it was already too late. There was nothing they could do; and Renathan was just going to have to deal with it, they were here now, right? The mammalian lead the creature down into the pit quickly, feeling sick to his stomach. Shy Guy's nostrils were flaring already, and he was standing in such a locked way... Ah, he was scared. Renathan could feel it through their link. This was a bad idea, terrible no good idea. Renathan made his way up into the stands, breathing a bit hard. Panic-attack looming on, it seemed.
We are here now, he thought, we worked so very hard, so we have to do this.
Still, Renathan felt like he had messed up, badly, anyway. Maybe if they made it through whatever this one was going to be, Renathan could cut his losses. They weren't going to win this thing.

She had put a lot of work into Sandy over the years, (not that she could remember, but it showed.) Sandy stomped down to the pit contently, having never been in a tournament before the Thundergug didn't know what to expect. She had been one of Gentle's first pets, and had a lot of training put into her over the years. Of course, she wouldn't be much match compared to some of the opponents. They had talked about this in some detail before they arrived, and Sandy was content just to be part of it. Honestly I think it's going to be great experience to actually put some of my fighting skills to the test. I know a couple of things and I'm hoping to see it go somewhere. Hey, at least maybe I'll get a strike or two in.The Thundergug was oddly optimistic, especially considering how much she lacked in dexterity that would most likely cost them the tournament. She was strong, but she was not exactly the most agile creature around. Alas, the Thundergug was excited to be involved and she knew that she would be healed and tended to quickly and the adrenaline would cover most of the pain she would experience. Amelia made her way to the stands and stood near the other mammalian. She had never met this fellow before, and she wasn't really sure if he was up for talking. "Hello, I'm Amelia. This is Sandy." She gestured down to the Thundergug, "I wish you the best of luck in the tournament, I hope we both enjoy ourselves." She offered a weak smile. She couldn't hide her fear. She seen the large stallion, and she had a feeling he would be a force to be reckoned with. There seemed to be a lot more than what met the eye for that creature, and she was sure she would see it demonstrated on the battlefield. Okay Sandy, whenever you're ready.(Ready)

Renathan was a nervous wreck, and it definitely did not help Shy Guy's nerves having to feel that across the link. However, it was not abated by seeing the enemy in question for Renathan, but Shy Guy seemed to be much less worried immediately. Renathan stared down at the huge creature, a thundergug, and his throat tightened up. However, Shy Guy simply lowered his head, pointing his long and twisted pitch black horn at the creature, pawing at the ground. Renathan puts his fingers to his mouth below his mask, and calls out the whistled command for Screech. He knew that it was better safe than sorry when it came to attacking an enemy in the pit; most of them were danger-dodging, and good at it. Shy Guy didn't waste a second, rearing up into a rear and then releasing the most horrible and haunting screech that could possibly be heard; forcing even Renathan to put his fingers in his ears. Well, hopefully that would help, that was for sure. Shy Guy was certainly a lot less afraid now that he realized what was going on; thankfully he was ignoring Renathan's terrified emotions through the link.

Amelia wasn't sure if her greeting had been ignored or not heard, but she turned towards the pit to focus on the battle. In this form she had never been here, and although she could feel the familiarity, it took her some time to not only find the place but navigate the system. She had to go over what Sandy had been taught and then try to figure out a battle strategy. Of course, she had no strategy. She didn't even know what she was doing here. In her previous days, she had loved to come here and had taught her pets many battle techniques, enjoying using what she could for them.
Tell me what you're thinking. I can do lots of things.
I don't know. What do you usually do?
Well in the past, you have gotten me to use what you call 'Thunder' first. Sometimes they sort of get stunned. I'm more of a physical beast.
Amelia thought for some time. She leaned against the rail, the slight breeze ruffling some of her fur. She stared into the pit, looking at the large equine, trying to figure out how she could try to win this thing. She had no idea what the other creature knew, which made it tough for battle strategy. Okay, let's try that.
Their communicating had cost them valuable time however, as the opponent let out an odd whistle. His creature seemed to know what that meant however. Sandy began to move, her goal to stomp loudly, frightening her foe so that he would be taken aback and unable to do much in terms of attacks. However, at the same time that Sandy began to move the equine let out a horrifying screech. Amelia turned her head, pulling her paws over her ears to avoid the terrible sound that was coming from the creature.
(Sandy wants to use Thunder, but most likely just misses her turn instead...)

Now, they only had so much time to get the best possible outcome, Renathan already knew that Shy Guy would definitely take damage this tournament, but he was still absolutely horrified about the idea of it. As soon as the screech abated, Renathan put his fingers to his mouth again, and whistled the command for the lightning bolt. He was sure that Shy Guy would understand that he actually needed to strike the enemy. Shy Guy was now fairing a ton better than Renathan was, he was foaming at the mouth, his horn lowered toward the thundergug now that he wasn't reared up screeching anymore. Renathan was quite a bit nervous about it; but he could already smell the ozone beginning to cook up in the sky. This was it; this was their chance. Shy Guy's soft blue eyes could not hide his desire to protect himself as he worked to call the lightning from the blue above.

Sandy stumbled backwards, pulling her head into her chest to ignore the awful sound. She whined loudly and shook her head. Finally the sound subsided, and she looked towards the Equillon. She turned towards Amelia, looking at the white snow leopard who was standing at the railing. How was she supposed to battle with this going on. Amelia stretched away from the railing, cringing at the terrible sound. Once the ringing subsided, she opened her eyes and leaned over the railing, watching the Thundergug struggle with the sound. Sandy shook her head and turned her dark eyes back towards the equine. Okay, she had to do better. This time she would do something to effect the opponent. Just... what was she going to do.
Help. What am I supposed to do? I couldn't even get past whatever that was.
Amelia was about to reply, when she heard another whistle coming from the owner. Okay, that was another command. They were falling behind again. This meant that the opponent was gonna start doing something and Sandy would get attacked again. She felt like she was letting her best friend down, and she had nothing to do. This creature was clever, and faster than her.
Okay we can handle this. Sandy use Thunder again.
There, maybe this time she would be able to actually make it work. Amelia smiled as Sandy began to work her magic. Sandy growled loudly and then began to stomp her feet on the ground. She was hoping the loud sounds would terrify the Equation. She heard something, it was a static sound. A burning smell followed it. What was happening now?

Shy Guy was able to call the lightning bolt, and seemed to get a good hit. Renathan closed his eyes, covering them with his hand. This was incredibly rough, after all! Renathan then heard a deafening boom; a horrible thunder noise, and knew exactly what that was. He shook his head, holding his ears tightly, somewhat baffled himself. He hoped that they might be able to make it back through this, anyway. Renathan gritted his teeth, squinted, and forced himself to open his eyes and ears again. He was failing Shy Guy, of course he would be. How the heck was he supposed to know that there'd be so many of this big monster things in the tourney? Better yet, why was he even trying? Shy Guy backed up, unsure about the loud noise, not used to it at all. Renathan's knuckles whitened; it was too late to do anything. He whistled, trying to get the creature to pay more attention, but Shy Guy wasn't really able to hear, it seemed. Well, shit.
[Shy guy would have done... Something. But he skips his turn.]

Zap. The Thundergug poured backwards, the electricity burning her flesh. It hurt, it hurt very badly. She whined loudly, shaking the feeling away. It hurt, it hurt badly. She cried out telepathically for Amelia, but she knew that this was what she signed up for. There was pain, a lot of pain. But it would be worth it for her to attack. She began to stomp, and the loud noise stunned the Equillon, giving her a chance to get an attack in. Good, Amelia thought, she did something. Amelia was proud that Sandy had done something to show for their battle. Now what. Sandy looked at the snow leopard standing in the stands. Now that the foe was exhausted from the loud noise, it was time for her to do something. Amelia thought for a few moments about it, thinking about her Thundergug and looking over the different things the 'gug would be able to do. What about if... hmm. Amelia wasn't sure if they would be able to win this thing, it was largely possible they would lose to the Equllon. After the creature which didn't look like it had any sort of electrical power at all struck her with lighting.
Let's try using your body. That's your strong suit.
It didn't take much more than that. As the Equillon stay stunned, Sandy charged fast towards him. Using her body in an aggressive motion, she slammed her weight into the opponent. She was large, and she was heavy. It would do a great deal of damage.

Renathan just about has a heart attack as the thundergug practically throws it's body into Shy Guy; but Shy Guy knows better. Shy Guy may have been started by the noise, but that doesn't stopped his very refined senses from allowing him to practically throw himself out of the way at the last minute. Renathan had known this about the creature; but he had never ever actually seen a creature dodge danger TWICE. Renathan knew that they could do this now! He stood up and put his fingers to his mouth again; whistling the command for the acid bite. It was a haunting three-tone-whistle that sounded out, and Shy Guy knew immediately what it meant. If this hit; then they would win, he just knew it! His mouth was so infectious, so acidic, and so venomous (all three in fact) that he knew that it would be only a matter of stalling until they would win. Shy Guy immediately rushed toward the slower opponent, mouth agape, ready to bite, horrible acidic goop between his jaws. He looked like a rabid monster, not like a unicorn at all. Renathan knew that they would take a hit; but he also knew that Shy Guy had the instincts to survive it, no matter what.

How did that happen? Somehow the Thundergug missed her attack. Yes she wasn't the most dexterous, but they were well into the battle by now. So for Sandy to miss... well both the mammalian and the Thundergug were shocked. Well, they couldn't let that stop them. Didn't help that Amelia had forgotten the bracelet of minor agility, which maybe would've helped Sandy in a situation like this. Amelia groaned and threw her face into her hands. She never knew battles could be this exhausting. Sandy groaned and turned and looked at the mammalian. She had just flown right past the equine and stumbled a bit to regain her balance. She had to do something again.
I'm sorry. I don't know what happened.
It's not your fault. Try again.
Only a few words were exchanged, but it was enough. Sandy reared back, ready to charge again. She was heavy and her moves were hard hitting. It would not be enjoyable for the opponent to receive a hit from her, but she imagined it was possible to withstand maybe one or two hits from her. Typically a couple attacks from the Thundergug would take out an opponent with ease, so Amelia was shocked that this odd looking pony was doing so well. So well in fact, she had a good feeling they weren't going to be victorious. Which, Amelia and Sandy had both discussed prior to the tournament. The goal was not to win, but instead to gain experience and finally utilize some of the training that Sandy had gotten. However, they were not anticipating an opponent who not only had electrical abilities, but acid as well...
