Now it was the home stretch. Morgan kept their eyes out for any change in strategies with the two, keeping up with them as they continued to get better and better at dodging attacks. Morgan hoped that sometime soon, they would start displaying that sort of premonition that creatures got whenever they finally learned the danger sensing thing. Morgan was quiet as they quickly ran them through all the speeds with the two beebees, and they still didn't get hit once. Both of them were getting even better at this danger dodging thing, and Morgan had to admit that their arm was getting tired. It was time to move over to three beebees. Hopefully they would get it now. Morgan continued, and the two streaked away from the chaotic stream of beebees, until finally Morgan caught Pao anticipating the attacks. Aha! That was perfect! Morgan was incredibly pleased with this outcome.
It didn't take much longer for Ondori to also begin anticipating the attacks, and finally, Morgan allowed them to stop. They hadn't gotten hit a single time, and both were a ton better at it now that they were anticipating the attacks without seeing them. Finally! Morgan couldn't help but being excited as they rounded them up to go home.

It was time to come back. Morgan had dealt with a whole lot of things recently with the older tat-lungs (thankfully Shigeru hadn't been acting nutty lately, geeze) but the youngsters were still the priority while they were young due to that being a limited part of life. Pao and Ondori were really growing as children, and Morgan was already feeling very nostalgic about a ton of things. For one, Morgan remembered being a child, it wasn't all that long ago, and for two Morgan could remember working with the other tat-lungs when they were this young! It was time to do the final set of lessons regardless, at least the lessons for the baby tat-lungs. They knew that after they got done with this, they'd be good to go until they got a little older and were ready for the more strenuous lessons like Flight.
For now, Morgan got the pair into the loch again from the travel tank and then smiled down at them. "I hope you two had a good breakfast t-this morning." Morgan had fed them, so they knew that they had, but they didn't ask for seconds today like they usually did and Morgan figured it was because they might be excited about the trip to the loch.

Wrangling two tat-lung babies at once, even though they are babies, is incredibly rough. Morgan has been struggling with these two much more than they did with Ryuusei and Seimei. For one, those two were very competitive and loved games, but were also pretty mature and quiet. Pao and Ondori, on the other hand, were the opposite. Playful, excitable, and hyper competitive... Their rough housing was NIGHTMARISH! Morgan got splashed quite a bit and had to do something they never had to do with the other tat-lungs; scold them. Of course it was a verbal 'hey watch out!' and 'don't splash me, no!' but it got across only half of the time it would seem. Pao and Ondori had never been adults, and of course, Morgan had to remind theirself, Seimei and Ryuusei were juvies when Morgan had gotten a hold of them. Shigeru had also been an absolute treat to work with in all honesty, these two were... Definitely children. Morgan had no idea what to say about them.
Hopefully the pair would become more mature as they got older, because Morgan didn't know what they were going to do with them once they grew up if they stayed this rambunctious!

Seimei as a juvie would not have been caught dead splashing anyone on purpose, though Ryuusei had a few times to get Morgan's attention. Pao and Ondori on the other hand just egged each other on and thought of themselves as practical jokes. It was annoying, but Morgan found theirself being quite patient with them at least. That was quite good, Morgan couldn't imagine being any less patient and being able to deal with the young critters. Weren't tat-lung babies supposed to be... Fish-like? Sure these looked like fish and were pretty water-bound, but they weren't at all like fish otherwise; much too smart, and all of the ones Morgan had worked with were at least semi easy to tell from fish due to their habits alone. Perhaps it would be prudent for Morgan to do lesson work with the two in the future alone, like they did with Ryuusei and Seimei, but then again... There was a pretty good chance that these two would miss each other too much to really do well in their lessons. That was the challenge with training two together, it was always a bit of a chance that they would be more trouble than they were worth keeping them this close together.

Shigeru had done well being taught by himself, but it was obvious by his loner qualities and strange hobbies that he might have benefited from having had a friend like Morgan had done with all of the other tats so far. Seimei probably would have wound up being a disaster if not housed with Ryuusei, so Morgan found theirself inclined to work with them two at a time as babies and juvies for the most part since it might make it easier in the long run. Teaching young Tat-lungs was not at all easy, especially not due to the fact that they were super intelligent. With intelligence also comes boredness hand in hand from what Morgan could tell. These simpler training bits and bobs would be incredibly difficult if not taught in a 'tat-lung school' that Morgan had come up with for the pairs when they were all as young as possible. The idea would be to keep them carefully taught at a level appropriate for their ages. A young tat-lung, in Morgan's experience, argues much less about a menial lesson than an older one, if only because they are still learning about the world. Best to catch them when young! These two were certainly that.

Pao was beginning to pick up tat-lung 'words' that could be picked up by the ring of animal tongues that Morgan used, and Ondori was already babbling in a way that Morgan could pick up bits and bobs. Pao 'spoke' in this way much less but tended to have a better mastery of ideas, whereas Ondori 'spoke' circles around Shigeru at this age. Shigeru was a late bloomer, but by the time he started purposefully 'speaking' to Morgan, he was already perfectly fluent in tat-lung. That was the good thing about picking up Seimei and Ryuusei when they were juvies; they already knew tat-lung body language well enough to teach everyone younger than them the 'language' if it could even be called that as they grew up. That made Morgan's job easier for them, and of course the ring as well. Thankfully, it would seem like they would be able to teach all of the tat-lungs well over the time period, though it would take a lot of work. Morgan only hoped that they had the time to do it in fact. However, they hoped to be able to make time in the future, they thought, as they looked down at the pair playing in the small loch area.

Today, Morgan was going to try to get the last three things on their childhood school list finished so that Morgan didn't have to worry about them growing up while they were super busy working with Ryuusei and Seimei learning to read. Morgan was -not- looking forward to teaching that, and of course they may be taught LSL during that time period too... It was going to be tough no matter which way Morgan decided to teach it. However, it was going to take a lot of work and a long period of time. With the pair of tat-lungs here, they absolutely had to be taught the last three things on their list before they grew up, so they had to get it done today out of necessity. It was the only time Morgan knew for fact they'd have to work with them for a very long time.
Morgan had made sure to bring their swim clothes today. They quickly changed into them from the discretion of the mostly deserted area along the shoreline where they couldn't see anyone, and then they put the rest of their clothes on the dock. At that, they waded out into the water. "Alright you two, new lessons today!" Morgan announced.

Now this was brand new to the young tat-lungs. Morgan hadn't gotten in the water with them ever before, and honestly it was way too cold for Morgan to be there now. Morgan was already regretting this a lot, but they had brought a towel, and heck it wasn't like the water was frozen yet or anything. But DAMN was it cold. Morgan shivered, but didn't back up. They scarcely kept their teeth from clattering together though, as they waded forward. Pao shot out quickly, doing her latest favorite little trick; she produced a bunch of light in a random sparkling array. Morgan stood tall, back straight. Ondori was keeping her distance with curiosity, and Morgan got the distinct feeling that she was probably planning something. "T-th-the the next lesson is for y'all t-to get used ta me touching y'all..." They had already seen the vet come and leave, but they hadn't had their own first vet visit yet. "This is m-mostly so that y'all can understand and t-tolerate the vet touching you in the f-future." Morgan explained, though they still had a lot longer to go on about. Pao was certainly interested, but Ondori kept her distance, though she was paying a lot of attention.

Pao trusted Morgan. For some reason, Morgan had been able to tell that from her hatching, but now it was about as close, if not closer, than Seimei felt to Morgan. However, the human was super surprised when she immediately swam up to Morgan and extended a fin. It was an almost humanlike gesture, and really caught Morgan off guard. Morgan gently reached out, and touched the fin with one of their fingertips, and felt a little... Nervous about it, kinda. It was always odd, even though tats were easily far more intelligent than humans, to see behavior so people-like. Ondori watched with just as much of a shock as Morgan had experienced at the gesture.
"Good job, Pao, it seems this won't be difficult with you at all." Morgan finally managed out after quite a bit of stuttering. After a moment, Morgan continued. "T-this is not going to be a constant uh... Invading of your p-personal space." The human stated. "It w-will only be done with permission g-given from you, but when the vet comes, you'll have to be used to being t-touched and be able to sit still. It's for y-your health." Morgan explained.

Seimei had given Morgan a lot of trouble over this, but of course he wasn't nearly as... Uh, inclined to trust humans. Ryuusei hadn't been too difficult though. Morgan had noticed that Pao pretty much naturally wanted to do what Morgan wanted done, and anticipated such. Hopefully she would grow into her own and take on her own desires one of these days, since Morgan would feel terrible about using that trust too much in the future. However, it was Ondori that Morgan was worried about. "Come on over here, Ondori." Morgan said in triplicate. They always 'spoke' in triplicate when working with the tat-lungs, and it was quickly becoming second nature for them to do such. Ondori hesitated, and then came over as well, still swimming just behind Pao.
Morgan hoped that Ondori would follow Pao's lead with this one, it would make their job much more easy. Morgan spent the first ten minutes working exclusively with Pao, since she was much more excited to do this. "Pao, can I touch your fin?" At this, Morgan reached out, and Pao offered the fin the rest of the way. "Now can I touch your tail?" This continued on for ten whole minutes with Pao playing just perfect. Tat-lungs were smart after all.

Tat-lungs did not tend to waste as much time needing to 'practice' as other creatures, especially since Morgan had a ring that allowed them to communicate incredibly well with them all things considered. It had taken them a while to pick it up even with the ring, though, since they were so clever. "Alright Pao, you did great a-a-and I can tell that you're gonna d-do pretty well." Morgan's teeth were clattering, it was COLD. However, Morgan was ready to spend the entire hour in here if they needed to for Ondori. "A-alright O-ondori, your turn." Morgan announced. Ondori was less reluctant after having watched this play out with Pao for a long time. Any amount of anxiety she had been feeling earlier seemed to be gone. "Thank you Ondori, can I touch your fin?" Morgan said in triplicate, and then held out their hand. They waited for Ondori to scoot forward on her own and touch her own fin to Morgan's fingers before continuing. "Good job, Ondori!" Morgan said, and then they continued just like that for another fifteen minutes, going back and forth between Ondori and Pao until they seemed very calm about being touched. Quite tolerant, in fact.

Morgan was glad that they were done with that whenever they finally got done with it. Morgan was FREEZING. How the two fish-form Tat-lung were making it through the winter without absolutely freezing to death here in this loch was another thing entirely. Of course, Morgan had their water warmed up on purpose at the mansion during the winter and then cooled during the summer so that they would be comfortable, but dang this loch was cold as all heck in the winter. Morgan hauled theirself up with difficulty out of the water (thank goodness it wasn't freezing) and noticed that they were quite pale and nearly bluish. Morgan cussed under their breath and then immediately toweled theirself off and got into their clothes, rubbing down their legs and arms to get circulation flowing again. Shoot, Morgan thought, this sucks.
Pao seemed worried enough, but Ondori didn't seem to be fazed much by Morgan's issue. Morgan was cold, but steadily getting warmer. More importantly, they needed to start working on the next lesson. Two more things, Morgan thought. "Alright you t-two, now that I am not f-freezing to death, Next lesson!" Well, that got their attention at the very least.

It was still taking quite a bit of time for Morgan to gather warmth up within their clothes, but hopefully it would start up soon. At the very worst they had a couple of hours out here, and hopefully Morgan would be fine for that long at least. The two tat-lungs were very nervous watching Morgan, but they did seem to be interested in their newest lesson. (It'll be alright) Morgan thought (These are the last two things until they grow up, and then I can focus on working with the older tats and their reading skills) That was what Morgan was the most worried about, that they needed to finish that regardless. "Alrighty, this time I'll teach you t-two to perform another signal; search!" Morgan grinned. "This is the fun one, someday I'm hoping to show y'all how to find important things. But for now, we're gonna have some fun." Wow, very little stuttering for Morgan this go around. Must be the cold.
The two tat-lungs seemed to understand since it was put in triplicate as per usual, and Morgan nodded to them, still shivering. "This will be the signal for doing that." Morgan gave the signal.

Signals were always really easy for the tat-lungs to understand. They hadn't had any issues memorizing them or anything else in the past, and certainly hadn't had any issues accidentally thinking they were other signals. That meant that this should be pretty easy; tat-lungs were very smart after all. "Whenever you two detect that signal, I need y'all to look a-around for anything. Just anything that you f-find interesting." Morgan explained in triplicate, as they usually did. The two tat-lungs watched carefully, and for once it seemed like Ondori was actually interested in what Morgan was saying. Perhaps she would enjoy this like a game? Morgan was quiet, for a moment, and then shivered a bit more before continuing. "A-alright you two, let's work on it." Morgan said.
The signal was given, and immediately Pao made a quick circle, almost excitedly, and then she made a sharp dive down towards the lakebed. Ondori was already gone by the time that Pao had gotten done with her circle, having wasted no time showing excitement. Morgan had been distracted and had not noticed exactly where Ondori himself had went. After a moment, Ondori returned with something shiny in her mouth.

Morgan was not surprised in the least at this turn of events. Interestingly enough, it was Ondori that was the crystal tat-lung, after all. Pao was interested in other things, from what Morgan could tell. She was already producing great flashes whenever she was excited, and that was a good thing. This was something that Morgan could tell would lead to interesting things in the future. However, Ondori was into shiny things, and Morgan could tell that she had brought them something quite shiny indeed! "O-oh, how nice. It's shiny, O-Ondori." Morgan said in triplicate, stuttering with their hands as well. "Y-you did good, first thing f-found." Morgan nodded, taking the item from Ondori. It was beautiful. "We'll keep this safe f-for you, and you c-can add it to your hoard." Morgan said, putting it in a pouch to be safe. Ondori looked... Proud. Morgan was glad that she seemed more interested this time.
Morgan gave Ondori the signal, and she rushed away again to find something else. Pao came up out of the water just as Ondori did, and brought Morgan- a rock. It was a nice rock though, all things considered. "Good job Pao!" Morgan said, anyway.
