Looking over at her again, Izzy gave a little half smile, she was so nice... He understood the words, he just couldn't form the words himself it seemed. He slowly strode forward and reached out to nuzzle at her claw a little bit. Then he smiled at her a little bit, "Fauna nice." Part of him wondered what it would be like to be with her for awhile, to have a family, and to see what would happen if that worked out between them. He wanted more children, it was just hard to find females who were willing to overlook his intelligence and his ability to speak just a little bit of Draconic. It was amazing that she was so accepting of him. He looked hard at her for the moment, and then he smiled again, "Izzy like Fauna. Fauna nice. Not upset with Izzy. Izzy like." After a moment, he nodded again, feeling he was getting his point across.

Fauna watched him smile, but it was only a half-one this time, and she wasn't sure if she had said something wrong. Oh, darn, sometimes Fauna knew she let her mouth get the best of her, so to speak! However, his movement afterward, though he almost seemed hesitant there for a second (or perhaps her eyes were tricking her! oh this sunlight, though lovely, made things distort!) But his nuzzle at her claw was just... So gentlemanly! She had not met anyone as sweet as him! "Izzy is nice too." She said, and she gently leaned forward (she would allow herself this at least!) and nuzzled at his shoulder quickly and playfully. It took her a moment to understand his next words, but of course, it made sense, and it was the easiest way for him to say it. "How could I be upset with you? You're a lovely individual. Absolutely lovely." She said, grinning. "You are very charming, Izzy." How could she fault him for something that came naturally to him? He was a lovely fellow, regardless. There were different kinds of intelligence, after all.

"Thanks," he said shyly and smiled when she nuzzled up to him a little. He leaned forward and licked at one of her feathers and then nuzzled her shoulder in turn. He liked her, quite a bit, and he wondered again what it would be like to have offspring with her. She was about the same size as he was it seemed, they could have a nice, healthy clutch. And they would be smart, like her! Beaming happily, he looked into her eyes and leaned forward again to put his forehead against hers. He knew some people saw Lashak as big, dumb, mean Draconics, but he felt like he was pretty nice and all that. He hoped he was at least. Izzy rumbled under his breath and then looked at her again, was it fate that had brought her to him? Or something completely different? What would that be, anyway? He wasn't sure, but that was fine too.

Aww, he was really the best. His nuzzling was... Not what she had expected? In a good way, in a good way of course! Fauna was not sure what an embrace, so to speak, would feel, and it was Nice. Really nice! Her brain kind of stuttered to a stop for a moment and she tried to force out a thought. He was really sweet, and really kind of course, and well, this was normal for draconics. She'd found what she was looking for, hadn't she? Now that she had, she was super excited, but also a little nervous. A clutch would be lovely, and with Izzy? Well, he was charming, and sweet. She could see herself becoming quite enamored with him over time... Perhaps a date or two, afterwards? She would love to get to know him even more. The ways of draconics were perhaps not the ways of humans, at all. But she wouldn't know that! She smiled at him, and then cuddled into his embrace, casting a somewhat protective fluffy wing over him. "Oh Izzy, you don't have a mate do you? It would be dreadfully unfair for me to, ah... To butt in- but if you don't, you know..." She was horridly shy.

Shaking his head against hers, fluffing his wings over her as well, he gave her a sad look, "Umber gone long time. Ember's mom. She not here no more." He pulled his head back again and then tilted it a little, "Fauna want hatchlings?" It seemed rather forward of him, but they were a practical people, at least in his mind, he figured. Izzy smiled a little and shook his head in a laugh, and then smiled at her again before thrumming low in his throat, weaving his head and neck back and forth a little in front of Fauna's head. He was willing to help her, if she stayed with him. It would be nice to have a long term mate, unlike Umber who had disappeared after their clutch had hatched. What would it be like anyway? To settle down with someone from another cavern finally and to have a family of his own?

Oh. Oh that was sad. So, how long had she... Been gone? She felt terrible for him, of course. This Umber must have been very special for him, a very special draconic indeed. He shook his head, and she took the opportunity to cuddle her head under his neck for a moment. "I am sorry about Umber, Izzy. Ember won't mind, will she?" She asked. She may need to meet Ember, to make sure that she knew that she had no desire to take her father away from her. How old was Ember, of course? The lashak had said little girl, but that also just meant daughter in most cases. "I would love hatchlings-" She said, a little squeaky perhaps, out of embarrassment. "I want a big clutch, and well, I love little ones! I've always wanted to be a mother, but it has taken me a long time to get here- you know, and find someone that... you know, wants hatchlings." At that, she looked a little nervous. "Do you want hatchlings, Izzy?" More hatchlings, of course. "Well, more of course, since you're already a father." She noticed that she hadn't really asked. He just made everything feel natural and easy. That was the great thing, not clouding it with high-mindedness and all that.

That was the thing that Fauna secretly felt so awkward about! Really, having a clutch as a natural need and desire, and of course she felt the need to do so. The want to do so. She wanted to find someone that wanted to raise a clutch just because that was what they wanted. It was hard to find that among the more head-in-the-clouds folks. Though she loved pop-pop, she couldn't imagine being with someone that craved intellect that badly. But Izzy? He seemed calm, he knew what was important in life to him, and that was what seemed to matter. That was what mattered to Izzy, family. She could really dig someone that had her priorities in life. She could also see herself spending more time with him in the future; and really getting to know what he enjoyed doing. But that could come after; if this was what he wanted too. Of course, this was sudden- dreadfully sudden, but she was thrilled by the immediacy of it. Plus, she'd been wanting a clutch, anyway.

Despite being rather uninterested in humanoid, well, anything at all... Fauna couldn't deny the fact that she worried quite often about things. Now, it wasn't the biggest issue, but she did think so much. Of course, she was overthinking things right now. She was a little flustered, mostly over her own frankness. Was it perhaps rude? Surely not, she attempted not to be rude the best she possibly could, but when one grew up the way she did- it was sometimes hard to see other draconics where she grew up. However, now that she was out and about, it was time to put her feelings to rest on that sort of thing. She disliked about high-minded individuals the same thing that she was doing now, and that was the thing. Izzy was just lovely and she was glad to have met him! What was it that brought them together? Whatever it was, she felt as if it were a happy incident.

If this was, indeed, something that he wanted to do, then they needed to ah, do this? And she wasn't entirely sure what would be the best way of figuring out how to do this actually. She cuddled into him a little more, a happy thrum exiting her throat as she stopped overthinking things a bit and just melted into his embrace. Ah, they needed to go to the Clutch Temple, right? She'd never been there before, but she knew where it was... Oh, and Izzy had been there before, right? He would definitely know the way. Oh yeah; Ember! She had nearly forgotten about his daughter. She needed to meet her, too. Or maybe she would come meet them, whenever the clutch hatched? Clutches did take a while to hatch, of course. Oh goodness, at least she knew that she would be the best mom. That was the most important thing to her!

After thinking about it, she takes a step back, and this time it was Fauna's chance to beam at Izzy. He was such a sweet fellow, and she hoped that they could do all sorts of things in the future. But right now, provided he also wanted to, she had something she needed to do. "Izzy, I have a proposition to make, my dear." She says, after a while of the cuddling. "If it is something you would like to do, of course, I'd like to make a trip to the temple; you know, to have a clutch." She was sure everything would work out, if Izzy wanted to as well, and she would have lots of room to help raise the clutch if he wanted. Of course, she had always wanted to be a mother, and well... This was a good chance for it, to become a mother. Of course Izzy was already a great father, and that was a plus.

Izzy felt her pull away from him and tilted his head at her. Then he saw her beaming at him and he couldn’t help but do the same to her. Listening to her, he then nodded, ”Fauna clutch good!” He leaned forward and nuzzled up to her cheek a little bit, eyes glittering in the sun. Things would be good, he could raise a family with her, and he knew that Ember would be pleased with siblings. Sure she thought the others were as well, but that wasn’t the same it seemed. ”Follow Izzy,” the Lashak said with a toothy smile, nuzzling up to her one last time before turning and lifting off into the sky, pausing to make sure she followed him. Off he then went toward the Clutch Temple, leading her as best as he could, checking over his shoulder from time to time to make sure she was alright. This would be good, and he knew she would still be there no matter what, at least… he hoped she would be.
