Renathan was just giving himself something to do while the izer rested. Renathan was only planning on training this today, so they had tons of time. Renathan didn't have much else to do today, past feeding all of the critters on the farm. Renathan waited for about thirty minutes until he stood up and brought the beebees with him to start again. He would throw the beebees calling out the dash command again and again and again, trying to push the izer past her limits. The izer did seem to improve this time, and began to work on how much energy it was spending at a time per movement. Renathan was proud of that! Renathan repeated the process again and again throughout the day, interspersed with break times that were getting shorter and shorter, but with plenty of time for water each time. Eventually, Renathan could see an extreme improvement, at the end of the day, with the izer dashing to get away from each beebee flawlessly and tirelessly, seeming to do quite well! Renathan was pleased with this.

Renathan had been needing to come back and work more on Auburn's training for a long time, but he had been putting it off a bit. Renathan really didn't enjoy the sort of battle training that they were getting down to, when it came to small creatures. However, he did enjoy being around Auburn, and he wanted to finish up her training for good soon enough. He only had a little bit more on her list, and then he was probably going to make a final list for sure before finishing up. A lot of the last things on her list were annoying at best, however, or of course 'battle' training. Renathan hoped that Auburn would never be a fight, preferably ever, but he also wanted her to be able to take care of herself if required. Renathan agreed that today, they'd work on something he'd seen her do relatively recently.

Renathan sat Auburn down on their usual park table, the walnut-wood one. Renathan knew that Auburn was not at all used to seeing the table with her new, larger size. She was easily four times as large now, counting her wings anyway, and though she was still pretty light, Renathan caught her still learning how to keep on her feet now that she had four of them, quite properly. "Alrighty Auburn, we're gonna learn how to really fight today, how does that sound?" He knew that she could do a few interesting things, but he was understandably a bit hesitant with some of them. Some of them would be incredibly difficult to teach. This one, however, shouldn't be hard, provided he could get her to perform the attack properly. It would definitely take some work. Auburn trilled a small bit, a handover from when she had been a jibiji.

Auburn trilled at him, and then watched him with bright silver eyes. She knew what it meant to be in this particular area; this table meant that she was going through the whole training thing. She'd done this a ton before, an absolute ton, and it meant that she was going to get treats! Auburn was excited about this, practically bouncing around atop the walnut wood table. "Alrighty Auburn, settle on down." The question now was, from Renathan's point of view, how to get her to do this. He knew that she was capable of producing a sort of burst stream of ice, he had seen her do it when she was angry. However, like everything else with the familiar, he was not expecting it to be easy. Renathan remembered the command he'd used for teaching the snow thing; Comeit. Perhaps he could use a similar command to get her to do it?

Renathan decided upon the command 'Ciomaer' because it was similar, and also because it was different enough to be easily understood. Of course, Renathan knew that Auburn had previously never had any issue with similar commands, be he wanted to be more safe than sorry. "Auburn, Ciomaer." Renathan said, and then he gently placed a live grubble on the table for her to practice on. Auburn tilted her head, knowing that this meant to do something, but she was not at all sure what it was supposed to be. Renathan could tell by this point what almost all of her body language meant, so he gently touched her throat; which was were he was sure she could probably make the ice, and then said again; "Auburn, Ciomaer." Still, Auburn wasn't getting it. Renathan understood that, honestly, not everything got something all at once like that. She was clever and quick, but it didn't matter.

Renathan had to get clever. He was really stumped on this one, since she was so small, but he needed to keep focused. Auburn was confused, and began trilling a bit, but Renathan shook his head at her. "No, Auburn. Ciomaer." He repeated, and then got a good idea; he gently lifted one of her wings and touched the cold generator there, and then her throat. "Ciomaer." He said, again. "Ciomaer." Renathan repeated, trying to really get the idea to her, touching both the cold wing area and the throat. Then he pointed at the live grubble, like he had all the other times he'd taught her an attack for use against enemies. He always used live grubble for her for this; hoping that it would come in handy at some point for drawing attention to an attack. Auburn still seemed to be having a bit of a hard time.

Renathan was beginning to wonder if they shouldn't move on to something else and come back to this later when Auburn got a little frustrated, her muscles tightening and her feathers and fur fluffing up. Her ears laid back a bit much like a cat would, and her little eyes squinted for a moment as her mouth opened. Renathan took a breath, wondering if this was going to be it; and was severely underwhelmed whenever her body produced the tiniest puff of cold. However; it counted, that counted as a 'good'. Renathan would just have to get her to do better with it now! He smiled. "Meir Gaessh, Auburn!" The mammalian said, before quickly giving her a seed for her trouble. As she ate her seed, Renathan gently patted her back. Very good, this was the turning point, he was sure, at least she knew what to do now at least a bit.

Auburn was definitely going to get it eventually, he was sure. Perhaps even more quickly, now, if they were lucky. He waited until she finished up her seed and then carefully pointed at the live grubble, to draw her attention to it. Auburn's attention was indeed drawn to it, since she had worked with Renathan for so very long. "Auburn, Ciomaer." Renathan said quietly, so that she could pay attention to the way that it sounded and perform what was desired of her. Auburn was more sure of what she was supposed to do this time; she was always more confident after being given the first treat. She seemed to make that face again, that she had made earlier (it was kind of cute) and then spat out a slightly more purposeful, but still a bit small, puff of cold. It still made the live grubble shudder, though! Renathan gave her another treat for this.

Auburn was eating her treat as Renathan was considering how the training was going. It was going to take a lot more work to get her to perform properly, but Renathan was willing to put in the work if she was. Of course Auburn was, as well. She'd do anything to make Renathan happy, and also enjoyed earning treats like most creatures did. "Alrighty Auburn, I need you to try and make a larger puff of cold air." He said, smiling at her from beneath his mask. Auburn finished off her treat and then made a soft noise, a cute trill. "Yes, you know Exactly what I'm saying, right?" Renathan knew that she didn't, but she sure did 'talk back at him' often enough. "Auburn, Ciomaer!" He repeated, and then she was much more quick this go around to spit a slightly stronger puff of cold at the live grubble, surrounding him with frost.

Now that wasn't exactly what Renathan was looking for, but it was getting much, much better each time they worked on it. "Meir Gaessh, Auburn!" The mammalian said, excited. He gave her another seed, and then waited for her to finish it the best that he could. "Ciomaer, Auburn!" He called out, and soon enough Auburn was pretty excited too, drawing off of his emotions. She wanted to do really, really well to get even better seeds, as she had been given the really small ones up to this point as was usually done when she wasn't quite doing 'enough' and she knew just how to get those good seeds, the bigger ones that she liked much better. Auburn tries super hard and finally, finally produces an utterly freezing blast; freezing the grubble down to the bone and producing quite an ice burn across the tiny thing. Renathan felt a bit bad.

Well, Renathan used live grubble to feed his creatures that ate meat and required such things, and he would use this one to do this as well. Renathan knew that now she had actually managed the entire attack, they only needed to do all the repetition that they possibly could. Renathan took her a bit away from the table and began doing the repetition by having her use the breath of winter on various rocks and logs. Each time he would give the command, she would perform it quite easily, and then she would be given a treat and lots of praise. Then they would repeat it again, with the command, Auburn doing the breath of winter without fail, and then was given a treat and praise. This went on and on until Renathan started running her through other commands, and then peppered this one in as well to make sure that it stuck. Finally, he was sure that it stuck.

There was one other thing that Renathan wanted to train today, but he wasn't sure if that one would be possible at the moment. From his experience with the breath of winter command; it was hard to get a creature to do something that was kind of odd without having some way of communicating with the critter. Auburn was one of his critters that he was absolutely refusing to use anything to help with training that was magical; also probably because magical items didn't work with familiars so an RoT was out of the question. So he decided to work on another of the things on her list instead; the trick that he had used with Shy Guy to keep him from getting attacked for just a quick moment; the playing dead thing. He was sure that Auburn could learn that too, with a bit of work. Renathan had trained it before, so he was confident.

The command that Renathan had decided upon was similar to the one for deceptive lure; Læntai. This one would hopefully be different enough for her to get being different, and of course it was close enough to draw it as being similar. They were pretty similar ideas, both of them were meaning to be deceptive, after all. Renathan had to think of a game plan to train this thing; and he finally decided that he would just push her gently over, and have her stay there flat. "Auburn, let's go back over to the table." He said, scooping her up carefully and then bringing her over to the table carefully before sitting her down atop it. He had already trained her lots of 'pose' tricks and stuff, so he knew that this one was going to go quick. "Auburn, Læntai." He said, and then he gently grabbed her to guide her.

Auburn was used to being touched and moved around, and trusted Renathan not to hurt her. She moved exactly the way he wanted her to do, as he gently splayed her out on her back, wings spread and a little 'crumpled' looking, and her legs straight out in a kind of hilarious way. Renathan tried very hard not to laugh, and then failed. Then he left her there for a moment, and then smiled beneath the mask. "Meir Gaessh, Auburn!" Renathan called out, and then he gave her a treat. Renathan was super pleased with this; this would be a great thing. If only he could get her to do that multiple times. Renathan waited until she finished her seed. It was good that she had jumped up so quickly! "Auburn, Læntai!" Renathan called out. Auburn was hesitant, and when Renathan reached out to help her, she flopped down as she had before, since she had done so much work in the past on this sort of thing.

She had done very well, though Renathan had to move a few of her limbs to make her more convincing. Renathan would certainly be sure that she was dead if she just flopped down like this, after all. It would force her to land, but that was fine he was sure. Renathan smiled at her after they were done. "Meir Gaessh, Auburn!" Renathan said, and then he gave her another treat. This was going to have to be repeated off into the sunset, so they began working on it again as soon as she finished her seed treat. "Auburn, Læntai!" Renathan said, hoping that she would get it even better this time. Auburn was always a bit of a ham, just like learning beg, she immediately threw herself down on her back and this time put all of the limbs in the correct position. Renathan was pleased! "Meir Gaessh, Auburn!"
