Renathan was pleased to see Auburn perform the trick very easily. Auburn was, of course, very close to Renathan and very used to being trained. She already had a huge repertoire under her belt, so Renathan was not at all shocked at this. He gave Auburn one of the big seeds to signal that she had done properly this time, and then they kept working on it as soon as she finished the seed. "Auburn, Læntai!" Renathan would say, and then Auburn would throw herself down all ham-like pretended to be dead. Then, Renathan was give her a treat, and the training would start all over again. "Auburn, Meir Gaessh! Auburn, Læntai!" Renathan continued, pretty much rapid-fire at this point. Auburn was performing perfectly; she tended to learn things pretty quickly, anyway. Soon, Renathan was mixing it in to other commands to make sure that she got it, and when he was sure that she did an hour later, he decided to bring her on home for the day.

Renathan was a little nervous today, as he always was whenever he had Auburn coming to the park to do some aggressive battle training. Her list was so short now, and he was very glad that he was nearly done training her for a while. He did love her so much, but he really needed to start focusing on some more of the creatures in his kennel, and to do that he really needed to finish up Auburn and Shy Guy's lists. They were so close! "Alright Auburn." He started, as he sat the izer down on the black walnut park table that they always used for training. Immediately he could see his pretty little izer getting into the training mood, he could see it in her eyes. They did a lot of training, and only here, so she knew this was the 'training place'. That was good, because he didn't know how to start this particular training bit.

Renathan knew that Auburn had a sort of psychic attack. He'd seen her naturally use it to protect him at the mansion before, and he really wasn't sure exactly how he should go about getting her to do it now. It also didn't help that he wasn't exactly the strongest when it came to trying to resist psychic influence. He wasn't exactly sure why, but he'd figured out that the mansion could mess with him really easily due to it, at the very least. Renathan looks down at the little izer trying to decide how to do this. He had brought a little live grubble for her to use it on, but he wasn't even sure how to get her to do it. However, the pair were very close, Renathan thought, so maybe she would get a good idea of what he wanted? She tended to do that somewhat in the past at least.

Renathan did know, however, that he needed to get this done, regardless. Auburn was so close to having her entire training list completed, close enough for Renathan to taste it, and he needed her to be completely trained so that he could move on to other creatures that needed it. And GOODNESS did he definitely need to move on to the other creatures! However... He wasn't sure how to get her to attack in the way he wanted, since she was capable of doing a lot of other 'distanced' abilities. Still, Renathan gently moved the izer to one side of the black walnut table, and then he sat the live grubble on the other end. He was glad that they apparently couldn't feel pain; at least according to the labs. "Auburn, Psirii!" Renathan called out, knowing that she could easily tell that it was a new command. She immediately affixed him with a head-tilted stare.

Renathan knew she wouldn't get it right away, especially with himself being... Well, largely unskillful when it comes to this. Renathan wasn't sure where to start, but he was sure that they would get it eventually anyway. Renathan points to the live grubble as it sat dumbly on the top of the table. "Auburn, Psirii!" He said again. It was the chosen word he had decided upon to use with this one, and he figured that it was different enough from everything else to be fine. The Izer looked from Renathan, to the live grubble, and then back to Renathan. She knew she was supposed to do something, but it wasn't anything that she already knew the command for. They'd worked together like this for so long that she could actually figure that one out. But what was it? She began to produce a bit of ice between her wings, and immediately realized that it was NOT what Renathan wanted.

Auburn was able to tell that at least, through the typical way that she figured things out with Renathan. She of course didn't have the complete mental presence to be able to really know how, but she did know a lot of things about Renathan; one of those was what he was happy about, and what he was upset about. Whenever she started up the 'snow'; he immediately started feeling a little upset or disappointed or something, and of course Auburn knew that it meant that this was not correct. She stopped immediately, and tilted her head the other way, to signal to him that she wasn't sure. He pointed to her head, and then pointed to the head of the creature, and then repeated it again; "Auburn, Psirii!" She could hear him, but she wasn't sure what the whole pointing thing meant. She was sure that she'd keep trying things until something got the correct reaction, though!

Renathan decides fairly quickly that they weren't getting anywhere today after continually repeatedly attempting to get this to work out. Auburn was just having a hugely hard time figuring out what Renathan needed out of the command. Renathan was quite fine with this, it was completely understandable to him that this was a really abstract thing, he wasn't sure how to get her to do it quite yet anyway. Not to mention, they didn't have the liberty of using an RoT like Renathan probably would have preferred to use had he the ability to do so. It didn't seem like such items worked on Auburn, after all. "Alrighty Auburn, we'll go home and try this some other time." Renathan said, smiling beneath the mask. He gently patted the tiny bird on her head and behind her ears. "You did good, I'll just make sure to figure out a better way to do this."
