Noa considered the fields a little more before handing his paperwork back, then turned to Jack with an arched brow. "Are Orbaru and Pachee also this much work?" It wasn't a rhetorical question; he honestly didn't know. If he owned any, then they were in the pods at home, and he had certainly never looked at them or gone out of his way to seek them out. As unremarkable as Houluh seemed to him, Orbaru and Pachee were even more so, for all the colors they came in.
For that matter... "Do you breed them a lot? The last woman I came here with said something about wanting to make a name for herself in the breeding scene. Is there, what, money in this?" That... Fiera, was that what her name had been, had said something like that, he thought, but the specifics were already starting to escape him. Still, the idea that there was a breeding scene to be had with these creatures was something he hadn't seriously considered until then.
{We don't come here to the breeding center very often,} Rhys explained. {There's not really a lot of creatures that use these facilities back at the estate, you see...}

"No, they're not nearly as restrictive, though you do have to bring them here if you want to breed them. It's a safety thing for the parents, I think," Jack explained, elbows on the counter as she glanced down at Chunk, smiling a little at him. Her eyes turned back to Noa and Rhys, "I do a lot of breeding, yeah! There's a little money to be had in it, especially if you can breed something rare or what someone is looking for. Nature's Bounty buys offspring if they're not wanted as well if you're trying to sell them. There's an Uthax, new in town, I think he's trying to make a name for himself in it, actually."
Chunk nuzzled her hand and woofed a little, wagging his tail as he looked up at her, and the woman chuckled a little before focusing her attention at the Faeron again, "I get that, it's not what a lot of people are in to, and I can respect that!"

"Rare, hmm?" Noa looked down at Walnut, who wagged her tail a little, possibly hoping for some pets or something to do. He had gotten compliments enough on her appearance before when he had taken her out to places where people who were interested in Houluh were to be had, but he didn't know if that was a matter of courtesy or not. "Are stripes popular, would you say? There was a striped one in the last litter." Fiera had taken it, and now Noa was beginning to wonder if he had gotten the losing side of that deal. No way to rectify it now, but he might as well get a better bearing on things. Jack seemed happy to talk more on the matter, at any rate.
{It sounds like you come here pretty often though,} Rhys said. {Do you have a lot of Orbaru? Are they soft? I've never seen one up close.}
Seeing that they weren't going anywhere, and with Noa still keeping her on a fairly short leash, Walnut sat down and gave a yawn. Noa took that as a sign. "Which room are we in?" he asked the receptionist. They might as well make their way there.

"Well..." Jack thought about it for a little while, "I don't think I've seen many stripes if I'm honest." She tapped her chin and then shook her head with a small shrug, "Haven't seen many, no, but there's a lot of markings that don't seem to come out too much either. I've got a few that I haven't seen elsewhere as well." Hmm, that was a fair thing though, she hadn't thought about it too much at this point, but that was fine, she would think about it more often maybe?
As she listened for the answer from the person behind the counter, Chunk at her side, the woman nodded to Rhys, "Yeah, I'm here a lot. Kind of a hobby I suppose? And yeah, they're soft! Especially the Silky, they're lovely, I think you could get lost in their fur honestly." She smiled a little and then nodded toward the door to the Breeding Center, "If you ever want, come by the Kennel and I'll show you some of my animals."

{Oh, maybe I will! Don't be too surprised if you see me then!} Rhys seemed pleased with the invitation he received. Was that what Rhys got up to in his spare time, when Noa severed the bond to let him roam free? Well, what he did in his spare time was his business, Noa supposed, so long as he was there when it mattered. And this would be easier than Rhys dragging Noa along with him for the sake of seeing some Orbaru.
The receptionist gave him their room assignment, and he gave a signal to Walnut, who got to her feet and began trotting alongside him as he made his way down the hall. It didn't take him long to find the room they were assigned to. Rhys opened this door too, and Noa finally let Walnut off the leash, herding her into the room. At least if she was in here, there was a limit to where she could hare off to, and he wouldn't run the risk of not being able to catch her later.
Of course, he also wasn't planning on being in the room once the mating got underway in earnest. He wasn't that type of voyeur, if he could help it.

Chunk took off into the room as well and Jack leaned up against the wall, shoving her hands into her pockets and eyeing the man and his Faeron. It was interesting seeing someone with a familiar, or at least what she assumed was a familiar. Sure she had one of her own, but Tok was free to do whatever he wanted, the little asshole. She took one hand out of her pocket and pushed it through her hair with a small smile.
"No worries, you're invited any time you want," she winked with a small shake of her head. She didn't know what she was going to get herself into, but that was fine, she liked visitors, and while she did live at the Kennel now instead of a proper property, she had thought about moving again, but... Oh well, this was almost over she figured as she glanced at the closed door.
