As he drank, he was pretty thirsty at this point, he watched the woman for a little while. He didn’t know what was going on at the moment, but he was happy about having the calcium at this point, which wasn’t all that bad as he drank it, though it was a little chalky. At least it helped out his stomach a little, it had been getting a bit upset as he ran, but this calmed it down a bit. As he finished up, he laid down next to the woman and wondered what else to do right now, it wasn’t like there wasn’t anything to do, he figured, but this was nice as well and he liked her enough he figured. This was nice, and he wondered why she was spending so much time with him and not with the others right now, but he wasn’t going to argue anything about this, now was he?

This was the best part of it, feeding him the nutrients when he was ready for them, she knew. There was only one left, a bag of protein, and she would feed them to him when he was ready a little while later. He needed to work up his appetite a little more before they went on to that one, she knew. It would happen on the way to the museum so he could evolve, hopefully that would happen today but there was always the possibility of a wrench being thrown into her plans. That was the issue with things, she supposed as she patted him on the back, the tiny little fossil trumpeting in response. He was a happy little fossil, and she hoped he would continue to be so as time went on. What was she going to do if he wasn’t though? That was another issue, she figured.

If he wasn’t this happy whenever he grew, then what was she going to do with him? It was weird, thinking the happy little fossil might be grumpy or something whenever he grew up a little, though she knew that was going to be up in the air for awhile. Usually animals kept their personalities through growths, but wondered what to do for now at the same time. Jack pushed her hair back and kept a hand on the little fossil’s back, hoping that everything would turn out alright in the long run. She just hoped the denizens of the garden didn’t despise her or anything for not coming too terribly often at this point. Chuckling, she knew they liked her well enough, though sometimes it was a little iffy when it came down to it, she knew with a little sigh coming from her throat. Well, she just had to figure it out as time came, she thought.

She had vague ideas of what to do with things as time went on, but she wasn’t sure she really wanted to go through with them all, that was the toughest part of it all she figured with a little frown, Bigfoot still at her side. There were so many ideas floating around in her head, she was a little surprised that she wasn’t acting on at least some of them. Although, perhaps, this was one of her ideas, getting Bigfoot grown and all that. It probably was, the more she thought about it, and she smiled a little as she wondered what to train him after he evolved. That was an issue, but she would jump that hurdle later on she figured with a small nod. The woman chewed her lip for a bit and then leaned back against the tree she was sitting by as Bigfoot put his head on her leg after a moment or two.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly at the moment, and that was what worried her. She didn’t know what was going to happen later, but that was alright she figured with a small sigh, at least she didn’t need to know what to do all the time, right? Jack chewed on her lip a little and frowned, she wasn’t sure what to do with everything, and that was fine. After Bigfoot was evolved, she figured she would work with Chunk, the little Houluh pup she had adopted from the HAA a day or so ago, a little pup from one of her own breedings who seemed to always be overlooked by people when they went to the Adoption Agency. He was pure brown, and she could see why people would overlook him, but at the same time she felt terrible for the little pup and hoped he would be alright in her care.

That was it, after she was done with Bigfoot she would work with Chunk and everything would be alright. He would stay with her forever, looking a lot like his father, and that would be perfect. She had kind of hoped he was going to be a female, just so she didn’t have two Houluh who looked practically identical, but that was alright she figured with a small nod. As long as she had him though, she would be thrilled. She would get the required training out of the way and then go back down the list of oldest to youngest, which meant when she got to Chunk, at least he would be partially trained up for his show, right? Maybe she would take him to the river and teach him how to sense danger or something, that might work out the best, she figured with a small nod. Oh well, for now she needed to focus on Bigfoot though.

The little fossil seemed to be pretty worn out, which was fine by her at the moment, she didn’t have to watch him run around and wear herself out with things, wondering about what mischief he could get himself into. That was part of the reason she carried him around so much, she knew with a chuckle. He was pretty determined to get things done the way he wanted them to be, so for now she just knew they needed to stick together, and hopefully he would stay tired for quite some time. That was the best part of it all, she knew, and, giving a little chuckle, tickled him under the chin for a little bit as he squirmed. Having a fossil this close to her was lovely, and she wondered when she would work with her Runner, Toothy. She might be a little burned out though, that was definitely a thing.

She was a bit masochistic, she figured as her fingers played along Bigfoot’s back as he snoozed. It was true, she loved her animals, but was she biting off a lot more than she could chew? As she thought about it, she chewed her lip a little, her go to anxiety and thinking move. It wasn’t like she didn’t want to do all of this, but when did she have this kind of time? It bothered her more than she realized though, and she sighed a little as she wondered what to do. Jack didn’t have much to go on right now, she figured with a frown, she wasn’t sure what to do with everything, and that was perfectly fine she thought. Well, she needed to get some thing or another done at this point, and she was sure this would be the last of it for Bigfoot, being in the gardens. This was annoying, but she was almost ready to take him to the museum again.

Life threw curveballs though, she had to remember that as she sat there, looking down at Bigfoot with a little smile on her face. She had to know what was going on, but they were so close she could taste it. Frowning, she knew it was still going to be a little while, but hopefully time would pass quickly, she just didn’t know what to do about it right now. Stretching out a little, she disturbed her fossil just a little when she moved slightly, but he settled back down next to her with a little yawn. All she could do was give a bit of a chuckle and the woman was sure that things would work out in the long run. Whatever happened for the moment, she needed to remember it when he evolved a little bit, and she hoped they would still be this close forever. They would, she would make sure of it.

Everything would be fine when she was finished up with Bigfoot, she knew. She just had to keep her faith that everything was going to go well and then she knew it would. Jack had everything under control, but sometimes she forgot what she was doing, what she was up against, and she hoped that everything was going to be alright in the end of it all. Giving a little sigh, she wished she knew what to do with things right now, but knew that wasn’t going to happen. All she could really do was hope that things would turn out the way she wanted them to at this point. That was fine, she could handle that, she knew, and the woman pushed her hair back a little as she thought about it, Bigfoot’s head still on her leg as she sat. He really needed to get up and move around a little, she figured with a frown, things needed to happen.

With life being what it was at the moment, she knew she was filling some kind of void with her animals. What was it though? It was hard to describe, but she knew she was lonely, and she hoped that at some point something good might happen to her. That was a hard one though, and she knew that sometimes life didn’t turn out the way she wanted it to, it usually never did, honestly. All she had to do was hope that everything would turn out alright, and she gently scooped up the little fossil and cradled him in her arms. Hopefully she would figure out what was wrong with her sooner rather than later, and she hoped that everything would be alright when she figured it out. Giving a little sigh, however, she knew that probably wouldn’t happen, but that was okay she knew, everything would work out eventually. It always did.

The garden needed tending, but she really wasn’t up for it at this point. Sighing a little, she leaned against the tree and closed her eyes like Bigfoot had done. She didn’t know what to do with him right now, which was fine, but she hoped that everything was going to work out for them both in the long run. That was the worst part, the not knowing if things would work out, but she would just… roll with the punches, she figured with a little smile. She was good at being flexible, and she hoped that everything would go well after a little while. As long as he had his nutrients and experience in the world, then he would evolve into something amazing, and she really hoped that everything would work out in the end. If it didn’t, oh well, she would just try again, she knew with a little nod.

All she could do was hope that everything would turn out well for her and the living fossil she had named Bigfoot. It was only part of what needed to happen, she figured with a little smile, and the woman pushed her hair back as she sat there holding the little Longneck. They were all so small she couldn’t handle it, and she wondered what to do at the moment as time went on. There were even three more of them to do things with and grow and evolve back at the Kennel, but she was getting rather burned out, there was no way she could work with all of them right now, she needed a break. There was Toothy, Flitter, and Crunchy, not really good names, but they belonged to them and that was fine she thought with a smile. There were at least two more types out there, and she wondered what they were going to look like.

Well, she thought as she sat there, Bigfoot still sleeping in her hand, one was a swimmer, she had seen two different versions of those on display at the museum, but no one had seen the other type, at least not yet, and she wondered if she would be one of the first to find them. It would be really nice, but she wasn’t sure what to do to increase her chances. Her eyes went around the garden with a little smile, everything would be fine, and she just hoped she was going to have time to get him to the museum tonight or if she was going to have to wait until tomorrow. Either way was fine, though she was a little impatient when it came to the fossil. This socialization seemed to have taken forever, but she was doing it all at once and not in little spurts like some people were probably going to do. She had only heard of one other person socializing a fossil, which was kind of sad.

So many people collected animals without doing anything with them, and while she was just as bad, she wondered if there was any way to keep things going for now. Jack sighed a little and rubbed her face, hoping that things would be alright in the end. She wasn’t sure she could finish this up honestly, it was getting harder and harder not to work with something else at this point. A frown escaped her and she shook her head, wondering what she was going to do with things if she didn’t get things done. Her frown deepened a little and she hoped she could get this done either way. It was the worst if she was almost to her goal and then stopped for whatever reason. Looking in her bag, she saw the little pouch of protein she was saving for him with a grunt, at least it was still there for him to eat whenever things happened, she figured.
