The work is very difficult, and by the time it is completed Renathan was absolutely exhausted. He would not have been able to dig another plot if he even tried, so he was pleased to find something -a fine turnout for his last attempt- in his plot that seemed very unique indeed. Sadly, even he could tell that it looked all to new, he was an artisan himself that worked semi-regularly with metal, and if that metal hadn't been so shiny... He frowns beneath his mask and gives a slight sniffle-hic himself, turning his head as he did; a reaction not for his own sorrows but in response of the sorrows of the patrons of the event. It was a sad day, indeed.
He checks on Auburn, finding her mostly covered in dirt and trying to chew on some sort of root. "Nah-ah-ah!" He says to her, waggling a finger that causes her to drop it simply because she was so used to him. "None of that, come along." He said. He carried the not-quite-antique objects he had found along with him. He could turn them in; he knew that, but he was attached to them quite a bit. He knew someone that would buy them from him just on principle, should he decide to sell them at all.
He knew this Historical Society had no use of them, truly. He shuffles to find himself a spot to sit, and he takes some of the lunch amenities for himself, just a few of the cookies to be polite- and some of the tea before heading out to The Trinket Booth to turn in some of the more common finds he had. As an artisan, he took some interest in the beautiful curiosities there. "I'd like to trade in these coin finds, if I may?" He politely says, depositing them on the counter gently. He then gives his rather anxious familiar another seed as a treat. "Those art pieces- I'd love to trade for a couple full sets if I may? Who is the artisan? They look exquisite!" He's smiling beneath his mask, but quite obviously very tired.[Post 23] [Renathan does some Trading-In; both of Points and Objects, the list will be found in the quote below.]

After the event of having traded in some things, and received some things in time- he found himself finding a little nearby spot to go through the things that he had found. He now had one of each of the different coin colors that he had found (once again, he was simply a very particular person that liked to have a memoir of events having been experienced) and three interesting items that most would consider junk; a cloth, a clay pumpkin-like piece, and the magnificent stained glass piece. He was especially fond of that one. Perhaps others would be willing to relinquish hold of some of their finds; if there were others out there that had useless finds? He doubted that anyone would be willing to trade to him, but he could dream. He also had Seven of those little pumpkin satchels. He planned to keep one of them unopened, but whatever should he do with SEVEN of them? Up to this point he had discovered that the satchels had various treats in them, and he didn't really eat that much candy himself... Perhaps he could find someone to offload a few on? He glances up, petting Auburn as she sits on his shoulder very politely (though all of her fur is fluffed up as she stares at all of the other people that she can see) to see if he could see anyone that might be willing to take a few.[Post 24] - [Continuing on with a little side plot.]

Whew! Ashe wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked over at Inyala, who had sensed that they were done when everyone else stopped moving as well and looked up. Their eyes met, and an unspoken word had the Imp scampering over to Ashe, waiting by his side. Ashe had the blade of the shovel embedded in the dirt and he was leaning on it a bit, gazing around. It was then he noticed another of the little pumpkin gift bags at his feet; he stooped to pick it up. While he was on her level, Inyala gave a chirp and held out another glass coin for Ashe to take. She hadn't found anything else - which was good for the general purpose here - and Ashe's hole had turned up empty as well. It looked like they were all dug now. No excitement bubbling up, no loud crowds gathering around. Did this mean they were done? That this man, their host, could finally build on this ground? He wondered what was in store next..

Inyala leaped up, her claws hooking on Ashe's clothes as she hauled herself up to his shoulder, her usual perch. Ashe fished around in his pocket to see what glass coins he had amassed. He wondered if he could use these to buy stuff, in addition to the 'points' he accrued as 'payment' for helping here. He'd used points the last time he'd bought some winter gift bags, could he use these? Might as well try. The Ungulate was praising them all and thanking them, then inviting them to partake in some cookies and tea. Ashe made his way over with the rest of the crowd - buying stuff could wait, he realized now that he was famished and the cookies might take the edge off. He took his share of cookies and tea, and to his pleasant surprise, he was also given a voucher for a creature, free of charge! That was nice, much better than he expected. Not that he needed more creatures... But how could one resist?

Ashe shared the cookies with Inyala and when they were both recovered a bit, Ashe started moving back toward the booth to see about these colorful glass coins, turning in the voucher, and buying some more gift bags to feed his addiction. The ungulate hadn't returned, and with a look around, Ashe saw him in deep conversation with someone. It looked like she was sad. Maybe even crying? But those were the people trying to shut him down, weren't they? Were they that upset that they couldn't...? Ashe was torn between going over to eavesdrop and waiting there. If there was tension or hard feelings between them, Ashe's involvement would surely make it worse. Before he could actually make a decision - with the aide of fatigue keeping him rooted - their ungulate host was back at the booth. Ashe approached, greeting him. "Great turn out, eh? Not a mound of dirt left unturned!" He shares a grin. "If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to buy three more of those winter gift bags... And one of each of these -" here, he gestured to the artful sculptures and the little tray. Silver laughed as they pulled not one, but two more coins out of the ground. Well, that made up for their bad luck, didn't it? Sadly, Kylma couldn't say the same. He hadn't found anything, but he didn't seem to mind. The trinkets didn't really mean anything to him. The way the coins clinked together was a satisfying reminder of just how many they had found. Well, that was it, apparently. Silver wasn't sure what to think. They had thought it would be more... dramatic, or something. Whatever the case, it was time to take a much needed break. They happily accepted the offer of tea and biscuits, and began to sift through the things that they had found. First of all, there were more of the pumpkin bags. They ones they had opened so far had candies and toys inside. Never could have too much of either, they thought. With a half-eaten biscuit still hanging out of their mouth, they tipped a few more out. Perhaps there was a bit of fun yet to be had. Finds: Unused: [135.9, 10.1]

It was done. It was over. And boy was his back thankful for that. While other people around him do their thing, Flare absently scoops up a small handful of dirt, inspecting it. Its not... bad dirt. From what his sandal'd feet can sense, it feels like any other soil here in the labs. Nothing particularly interesting about it. He kicks his sandals briefly and stands there in his hole, his toes slightly dug into the earth, eyes closed. Holding the pile of dirt in his hand like he's going to do something with it. A few minutes pass.... nothing. Ok then. Guess he hasn't refined his call on his inner element to the point of drawing it to the surface unless he was going to pull flowers from it. He puts on his shoes and clambers a bit awkwardly out of the hole. Grendel is so muddy he can't tell she was creamy white at one point. His tools can be packed up in a minute, fending off his muddy and excited companion for adding one more green coin to the collection of glass coins. Maybe he can figure out how to move the mud off her at home with magic... There are pictures of animals, festooned in festival garb and frankly pain on the eyes, but since the hoof and horn man was offering, who is he to turn down a free lunch, as he'd done the work. Except for his relics, Flare offers over the rest of his dug up treasures, and picks his choices of items. Whomever had even heard of a walking tree?

Renathan trades at the Booth:
The sudden and intense discussion with the historical society representative ends up cut short, as the ungulate politely excuses himself and quickly rushes back to the booth to take in the trade request. As the items are deposited on the table, he excitedly claps his hooves together, "My, oh my! I have seen these strange tokens pop up here and there, but I never thought there would be quite so many!" And he eagerly gesture to keep going "Certainly! Certainly! What you have found, I can compensate with some extra points!" There's a moment of deliberation as he quickly sorts through the items, and a strangely quick moment of mental math, before he smiles, "Yes, I'd gladly add another 75 points to your tally for these!"
Then, at the request, a quick raising of a hoof to wait, before he turned and retrieves the requested objects from some boxes behind him. "Alas! I do not know the author's name, but I came by them through a trader from the western lands. I suspect they could be from those general parts, based on design alone." and he hands each over to your in turn, before turning to mark off the requisite points from the tally.
(Non-bag booth items/creatures will be PM'd as well) ( For 3 Pearl Coins, 2 Emerald Coins, 1 Ruby Coin and 2 Topaz Coins an additional 75 points have been added to your tally! ) ( For purchasing 2 Artful Sculptures, 2 Beautiful Trays and 2 Masterful Crystals, 60 points have been deducted from your tally! )
Ashe trades at the Booth:
With one customer served, another was already waiting! The ungulate smiled broadly, "Good day! Good day!" before listening in on the order. "Ah yes, certainly! A fine choice, sir, if I do say so myself!" And he did say so (After all, he had found the items to be sold to begin with!) A bit of fussing, some shifting of boxes and cardboard, and with practised motions all of the requested items were placed upon the table, "Here you go, good sir! I shall update your tally, and should you wish anything else, you need but ask!"
(Non-bag booth items/creatures will be PM'd as well) ( For purchasing 3 Winter Goodie Bags, 1 Artful Sculpture, 1 Beautiful Tray and 1 Masterful Crystal, 36 points have been deducted from your tally! )
Flare trades at the Booth:
No sooner has the man taken their leave, when a more familiar face approaches. "Ah, welcome back!" Antelmo greets the.. somewhat muddy man and his hound. Where before he might have been concerned at the state of the tablecloth, that worry is nowhere in sight, as the ungulate seems to be riding that joyous high of having his business saved. He watches and inspects the offered items quickly, and just as quickly brings up the relevant requested items in their stead. "Here you go, sir!" As for the creatures, he asks for a few additional details (such as a delivery address) and writes them down on the vouches, "Thank you! Thank you! The creatures shall be delivered to you at first opportunity! Feel free to come again!"
(Non-bag booth items/creatures will be PM'd as well)
( For 1 Pearl Coin, 1 Ruby Coin, 1 Sapphire Coin, 4 Emerald Coins and 4 Topaz Coins, an additional 72 points have been added to your tally! ) ( For purchasing 1 Beautiful Tray, 1 Masterful Crystal, 1 Artful Sculpture, 8 Winter Goodie Bags and 2 Fairgrounds VSC, 126 points have been deducted from your tally! )

The work was done, and Nadia was exhausted. The final find of another coin had left her delighted enough to carry herself towards the booth; her face lit up as she listened to Antelmo's speech, and it instilled a new vigour in her heart, even if her body was weary. To the victors, the spoils! She wasn't immune to the lure of a free voucher for her efforts.
"Ah, sir, thank you for your generosity!" Her shyness was waning before her excitement. "I, um... would much like to redeem this voucher for a vespa, and turn in my coins. A-and to express my gratitude for the opportunity, and your hospitality. It has been tremendously enjoyable."
A stray glance over would bring another figure to her attention. A tall mammalian, with an interesting mask - was this the Renathan that Jewel had spoken of? She offered a smile to be polite, hoping that her curious look had not offended him.

Renathan listened raptly to the story, his face beneath his mask completely showing the amazement at the story. A trader, from the west? He couldn't help but smile beneath the mask. The items were certainly appreciated; he could really take these home later and consider the craftsmanship that must have went into them for hours. He parses through his objects a tad to make sure that he would be able to carry everything without damage, and then he cast a bit of a sideways glance at all of those goodie bags... About this time, Auburn seems to take rapt attention to something in specific, and that brings Renathan to a bit of casual alert; his familiar was rarely so focused. He notices right away that she has her eyes on someone with bright red hair; Auburn was always on the lookout for spare shiny things for her nest, and the thought of it made Renathan laugh. Still, the individual was looking in his direction, and he figured he might as well at least try to offload some of those bags. He politely raises a hand in the direction of the individual, and gives a polite "Hi- ah..." He looks a little sheepish, even with the ornate mask covering his facial features. He holds out a trio of the bags, and then asks her- "I'm sorry to bother you ma'am, but ah, would you be willing to take a few of these goodie bags off of me? I fear I won't be able to carry this much stuff." He says, picking up three of the goodie bags as he does so, and offering them.[Post 25] - [Continuing on with a little side plot.]

Ashe thanked the man and took the items he'd purchased. He still had a few things - some spare coin things, and a voucher, and he had to decide what he was going to buy with those. It's not like those things would be worth much away from his booth. He couldn't just walk up to Alan and purchase something with them, could he? But first things first - The suspense of what was in those goodie bags was going to kill him. He handed one to Inyala, who held on to it for him, and he was able to hold the other in his hand while opening the first. He swapped hands and opened the second, eagerly looking inside to see the contents. He figured he only needed a couple of the items in these, if the went by the pumpkin bag rules, so nothing was truly new for him. But the collecting was the exciting part. The mystery. He soon had the third opened as well. [Ashe opens ]

Leafy and Naieth came up empty handed for the most part on the last dig, but they were not ones to be too disappointed with the outcome. After all, the had still found a lot of treasure that could be traded in for extra points. And with those extra points, she could buy even better treasure. She squinted as she identified how many points she had earned so far and made her selections based on those. “Hello there! I’d like to trade in this free Fairground VSC Voucher that they gave out to everyone for a Felusine please. Then with my points, I’ll take 6 more vouchers! One each for a Gallor, Rakai-Sarane, Mosca, Vespa, Balgor, and Nyssa! Then I'll also take 10 Winter Goodie Bags please.” Leafy spoke in a tumbled mess of words as her excitement took over. “Then I’d also like to trade in all these artifacts and coins I found for even more points!” She handed over her inventory haul to the booth vendor. She had accumulated quite a collection of coins and strange objects and was eager to find out how many points they would earn her. While she waited, she decided to open up the 9 Vai Min Mur goodie bags she had found during her expedition.

With that taken care of, Ashe was able to finally look over the items he had purchased. Originally, he got them just as trinkets to set around the house, maybe look a little artsy, maybe give them to Jinx if she took fancy to them. One was an odd tray like thing, another had a lovely blue crystal pattern. He thought it was a tad girly, but with Jinx in the house, it would be fine. And then the last one was a gold flame, which he thought looked great and he would display on its own for sure! As he held them, he started to notice that they pulled toward each other, almost like magnets. He rotated them, moving them around, trying to figure out just how they went together, letting the magnetic pull guide him. Inyala watched from his shoulder, surprised. She had thought they were useless pieces, decorative but not functional. What would they make, she wondered. [Ashe does the thing]

Okay, it was time. The man had said the points amount deducted, and Ashe was able to figure out that he had twenty-four points left. He checked the coins he had and pulled out the 'doubles' and waited his turn to get back in the lineup. When he reached the counter, he set the coins on the table. "With these coins, and the points I have remaining, is that enough for a voucher?" He asked. "If so, I'd like an Izer, please," He said, knowing he still had a free voucher himself. He wanted to make sure this all went as he needed, before he brought that out, however. He still had plenty of time, he hoped! Inyala made a soft sound from his shoulder, as if asking him if he was sure he wanted to part with the shinies, and Ashe held up a sapphire coin to hand to her, to let her hold onto. She took it and took the job of guarding it seriously! [Ashe trades in 2 Topaz and 1 Ruby coin for 18 points Ashe purchases 1 voucher (Izer) for 40 points] Inventory:

Of course there was more candy and toys inside! They didn't know what they were expecting. With a little laugh, they stuffed the goodies into their bag and headed off toward the prize booth. Everyone was lining up for prizes, which made the process seem intimidating. They tried to think about what they wanted before they got there, so they didn't hold up the line. The idea of holding everyone up made them so self conscious that they were having trouble deciding what to get. "Stay close," Silver said to Kylma. They could tell that he wanted to wander around and sniff everyone. They couldn't carry him and make a trade at the same time, at least not easily, so they kept a good eye on him in the meantime. "Oh!" Silver practically squeaked when it was their turn. "I would like, ah, if I can, some of these," they pointed to the various sculptures, "and three creatures, please, and if I have any extra points, I'd like some more of the goodie bags, and ah, thank you, I really appreciate it." They paused for a long moment before realizing they had forgotten their coins. "Oh, sorry, here they are... at least, I think that's all of them," they dumped the little sack of coins out onto the counter and smiled sheepishly. Finds: Unused: [136, 10.2]
