The stallion was used to being trained at this point, so whenever Renathan bit the stick he was indeed watching and paying attention; letting this mull over in his mind. He was not in any way stupid for an animal; he was actually quite clever. Almost like the chiquinto equillion breed; that was so quick to pick up tricks and such. Renathan can feel the gears in the stallion's head whirring, so to speak, as he seemed to think this over. Renathan then repeats the low three toned-whistle, and places the stick close to the Stallion's face yet again. He's still hesitant; the stallion leans his ears back naturally and then opens his mouth, feeling with his delicate mouth. Renathan can see inside the stallion's mouth from this angle clearly; and he did have some really viscous looking sharp fangs that were hidden perfectly by his lips when his mouth was closed... As if they were sheathed. Almost like the canines of a vulticus; but they were also attached to some kind of gland behind each fang... What?

Renathan knew previously that the stallion had those strange extra teeth in the gap where he should have had room for a bridle; but he had no idea about those strange... Sacks. Well, they had to be glands, right? They were right behind those teeth, and now that he thought about it those were hollow, weren't they? The actual canines themselves. Holy crap; the stallion was venomous, like a gosh-darn snake! Renathan had no idea what to think. This was actually a lot more dangerous than he thought it would be! Renathan slowly pushes the stick forward as the stallion keeps his mouth open for a lot longer than he thought he would; and then he slowly and carefully keeps his hands out of the way as he places the stick in the Stallion's mouth. Shy Guy slowly closes his mouth, ever so slowly, until his teeth are just barely touching the stick.

Just as the Stallion began to crunch down on the stick; Renathan saw it! The stallion's jaw muscles seemed to squeeze a little, forcing the mouth to close but also forcing a little of this juice out of the stallion's glands and down through those teeth. The juice hit the stick and didn't seem to do much. The juice was beautiful though, in that split second before the beast clamped down and spelled doom for the stick. The juice was swirled candy pink and flourescent teal; with just a touch of vibrant purple. It was a simple but shimmery mix of chemicals or something. Then the stallion clamps down hard, spreading the juice absolutely everywhere; and it seems to activate it; the stick begins to melt to his surprise. Renathan drops it and backs up, but is super happy. This was going to work even better than he had imagined!

Renathan quickly pulls a piece of the pink apple out of his pouch and gives it to the equillion whenever he drops the stick soon after. The stick smolders on the grass; obviously looking worse for wear. Renathan realizes as the stallion gently removes the apple from his hand with his lips only; and then draws it into his mouth that he's probably lucky as all get out that he had not been bit in the beginning of the training; because wow that would have been terrible. It was no secret that Renathan did not do well with acidic-y stuff at all. Renathan watches the stallion enjoy his treat and then pulls a metal extending pole out from his backpack. This would hopefully fair better, he thinks? Renathan lets the stallion finish his treat and then he puts the stick out in front of the stallion's mouth. Then he gives that soft and haunting three-tone whistle. The stallion's eyes harden as he looks at the stick.

Renathan almost gets a chill whenever he sees the stallion's eyes as he looks at that stick after the command is given. The stallion has realized it is okay to bite the stick; and now it is enemy number one of course. Renathan nearly flinches as the stallion clamps down a little more quickly on the pole this time; with a giant CLANG. Renathan watches as the stallion backs up afterwards; a perfect example of manners and training after all that power and anger. The restraint was truly marvelous. Renathan squints a little as the stallion stands there, a perfect example of restraint that could sometimes be seen in a decently trained animal. Renathan quickly gives him a treat in the pink apple slice he pulls from his pouch after that. Once again, the stallion takes a piece of the apple with just his lips again, much like he would if he was picking the tenderest grasses from the field.

The stallion finishes his treat with relish; and Renathan begins plotting. He wants to make sure that the stallion will choose an enemy to attack if he does find himself in a battle situation. He'd already shown a natural inclination to attack what he perceived to be predators or opposing stallions, but would he attack anything Renathan wanted him to? It was a real concern of Renathan's, as he wanted to stallion to have no reservations in the dangers of a battlefield. Renathan once again gives the low three-toned whistle that certainly felt quite haunting. The stallion has less reservations now; he leans out and quickly snaps at the pole, causing a small dent in the metal; and releasing more of that awful acid. The acid that dripped on the plants below melted into them a little; it looked terrifying. Renathan wondered if he would have kept the stallion had he known this before he was trained... Just wow.

However, since the stallion was trained and favored Renathan, it was good that it probably wouldn't attack him, certainly. Renathan allows the stallion over to the other paddock and then goes home to rest that day. He also brainstorms how to really cement this into the stallion's mind in further training. The next day he gets up early and leads the stallion to his field; and then leaves to go get the dummy again. He drags the large thing back and just barely gets it over the fence yet again. Then he takes the spray from his backpack and sprays the stallion-smell just once on the dummy. The stallion is already aggressively interested in the dummy, lowering his head and pawing at the ground. However, he is obedient to Renathan and stays put until given a command. Renathan just knows he wants to be commanded to attack it with his horn; but that wasn't what they had in store for today.

The stallion waits patiently but eagerly, and Renathan finally gives the command; that low and haunting three toned whistle that the stallion had become acquainted with yesterday. He was a quick learner; and that showed. The stallion looks confused for a split second, cycling through so fast that Renathan could hardly detect it; and then he was off and running towards the target; giving it a swift bite and just utterly leaving a horse-like bite mark and a shimmery acid that appeared to be melting the wood; as well as what was most likely venom running down the soft wood. The stallion then rears back again, and paws the ground, waiting. Renathan gives the haunting low tone just again; and the stallion lashes out with his mouth just again; leaving another similar mark in a different place on the dummy. The acid bubbles as it hits, though the venom is once again ineffective on the dummy; which was probably good.

Renathan knew that the dummy would be difficult to repair this time; but it had survived worse before so he didn't think much about it. So Renathan calls for the stallion to calm down and return to him, which it reluctantly does. This was a very good day; the stallion was learning quickly and minding his manners even while agitated, which was beyond excellent to the early-morning tired Renathan. Renathan pets the stallion to help calm him down and then gives him an apple piece; allowing him to take it carefully from his palm. Then Renathan continued giving him a pet or two, to keep him calm. The stallion was wringing his tail about out of anger. This was definitely a good example of this training working, but Renathan was planning on continuing tomorrow without the stallion-smell, to train him to attack anything with it that Renathan indicated, like the horn strike that he'd learned earlier.

Renathan leads the stallion over to the other paddock and returns home with the dummy. He is going to have to get this repaired later; but he did have to go to work today anyway... He returns the next day with the extending pole and the dummy again, after giving it a good wash with deodorizer to get the stallion scent off of it so that the stallion would have no reason to be aggressive naturally towards it today. Renathan just barely gets over the fence after making sure that the stallion wasn't doing something strange in the fence before he gets in there, and then he sets up the dummy. The stallion is immediately interested in seeing him today; he runs up to Renathan and gives his shoulder a gentle nudge. Renathan pets his nose and then extends the pole and gives the command for the venomous bite; allowing the stallion to quickly bite it.

The stallion does indeed quickly bite it; depositing both the venom and the acid on the metal. The metal actually smolders just a little before quickly stopping; this certainly gave Renathan a few ideas for the future, definitely. However, right now he wanted to work hard to cement this behavior in the stallion for just in case they battled in the future, which may not actually happen of course. He brings the stallion over to the dummy using the 'come' and 'follow' commands and then points at the dummy. He gives the haunting three toned whistle and the stallion quickly rushes forward to attack the dummy. After this, Renathan switches to the pole and does the same thing; the stallion quickly also performs this tactic. For the next hour; the pair switched between the two with the command easily; and then followed his other commands in between this. Renathan eventually feels confident in his behavior and gives him a whole pink apple for his hard work. Renathan was satisfied with this!

Renathan just honestly wanted a break from the battle training; since he felt that it was stressful to his equillion. It had been a week since they had worked on the last bit of training; since the stallion had been sent to be grown. Renathan had been antsy about this; he had no idea what the growing process would bring. He just asked that his base remain mostly unchanged; and that the stallion be given a little more versatility. Renathan had just been shipped the stallion back this morning in a large crate; the crate had been dropped off at his home; but he waited to open the crate and naturally 'activate' the stallion. He had no idea what he was going to be looking at; so he wanted to be in a more private, secluded space. He had the crate taken to a more remote corral in the park; which included a sizeable brook that was most likely artificial. Renathan has brought the tack today for him; that was what he was planning today.

Renathan lays the tack down on a rock beside the brook; and then he makes his way to the crate. He presses a button on it; allowing the crate to fall open and then he glances into the crate. It was dark, and lined with hay; but the stallion was beginning to stir. The stallion equillion raises his head up and blinks his bright blue eyes; reflecting light in the darkness of the crate. Renathan is happy, in his chest; he can see only the eyes but at least his creature appeared normal? He barely trusted the labs to produce pets without damaging them honestly. Then, the stallion stands up in a fluid manner, and takes his first step out of the crate. Then another. Renathan pets the stallion's great side as he walks forward and then slips quietly and immediately into the brook. Renathan is amazed; he had not taught the creature to swim! He was worried, and stands in the brook knee-deep to retrieve the creature, but the stallion was soon out of the water and drying on a different nearby rock. Renathan wades out, and blinks. This was odd. Renathan takes the tack and brings it close to the stallion, for him to sniff.

Renathan had trained this skill before, so he knew what to expect. No creature wanted to carry anything on their back naturally; and his now huge stallion certainly would not want to. However, the creature was at least partial to him, so he knew that he'd try if only for him. The stallion looks up at Renathan trustingly; as if not a single day had gone by since he'd seen him, and then looks down at the tack. He was used to Renathan having different kinds of items around him. He isn't sure what Renathan wants him to do. Renathan slowly takes one of the tack items, namely the hackamore he'd bought, and places it near the stallion's face on the rock. The stallion bends down, and investigates it with his lips. Renathan gives a stern noise; and the equillion stops before he goes to chew on it. Instead, he merely sniffs it. It probably smelled very strange.

After the stallion appeared to grow bored with the hackamore, Renathan removes it and then places the next item of tack near him; the saddle. The stallion once again leans forward and sniffs the tack; and then nuzzles it with his nose after a little while. The leather was treated and certainly smelled weird; Renathan figured that the stallion wouldn't be able to tell that this was a nice saddle made out of hide and cloth; perhaps he could even only smell the treatment in the leather. He hadn't gotten the stallion used to gore yet; so it probably would have freaked him out had he known that it was flesh. Then again; the stallion also tended to eat small animals that it caught if Renathan didn't immediately take them away... Yeah, that wasn't good at all. After the stallion gets used to his saddle; Renathan removes it and then places the saddlebags close to him.
