It was a bit nauseating. At least she didn't have to stay here long- just until Klik got tired. She walked him out into the field, allowing the small fossil beast to investigate every leaf. Upon closer inspection she realized that there flowers in the field as well, bright little patches of neon colors. They looked like normal clover flowers otherwise, but she couldn't help but notice that they had a dark center to them, and that they seemed to... follow her. Like how sunflowers followed the sun, except it gave off the impression of a whole field of flowers staring directly at her. Couldn't they at least stare at Klik instead? He was the one pulling them up and eating them. She wondered for a moment if she should perhaps stop him from doing that- but she couldn't remember any species of poisonous clovers and he generally had a hardy stomach..

So it was probably fine. Emery took the opportunity to go over things she needed to do in her head. She was done with training for the tournament with Moxie, finally. She had taught him as much as she could, right up until the deadline. She had the feeling it wouldn't be enough however- she was up against some very stiff competition. The training he had was significant, but hopefully enough. Of course, that meant that she had plenty of other things she needed to get done as well that she had been putting off while the tournament had been going on. She was flat broke after buying Moxie all the equipment he needed for the tournament for one, which meant she needed to do more odd jobs to make money soon. She wilted a bit at the thought of it- she needed a proper job soon, as odd jobs were exhausting.

Of course, she had all of her creatures that needed caring for as well. She had just acquired a beast known as a "paogon"- very clever animals, but still animals. But they were very rare as well- the one she had was apparently the first one anyone had seen in a while, and with quite unique colors. She had to come up with a name for it soon however. All of her creatures needed attention in some form or another- she just had to get to work on them. Klik at the very least was easy to take care of. Not particularly smart, not particularly needy. In fact- she glanced down at him- he appeared to have fallen asleep right next to her without her even noticing. She reached down to pick him up and he instantly woke up again, undulating his legs with surprise. Well, it looked like he was done with his walk. Time to go home.
