As long as they were together, nothing in the Mansion could hurt them. That’s what the woman was telling herself at least, she figured with a smile on her face. She wasn’t sure what would happen, but hopefully it would be some good things no matter what. Luna wasn’t sure about this place, it seemed to be too sterile for her, and the moment she got onto the tile outside of the Mansion, she peed on it. Well… that was that, apparently, Jack figured with a raised eyebrow. Whatever, no one seemed to bust out of the Mansion and take offense to it, so she wasn’t going to worry about it. Not that she worried about it anyway, but still, it would have been interesting if it had happened. All she had to do was go into the Mansion now and look around, see what they could find, but if they didn’t look, then… well…. What was the point anyway? Jack wasn’t sure what the point of the Mansion was, but that was fine, there didn’t need to be a point.

Luna trotted alongside the woman as she walked up the steps to the Mansion and slowly opened the big metal door. It slid to the side instead of opening like a normal door, which was interesting. She hadn’t been to the Mansion during November, which was odd, but that was alright at the same time. Smiling a little, she peered inside, Luna at her heels. While she didn’t know what was going on, she was sure something would be alright in the end of it all, and she stepped through, only to have the door slam shut behind her and the Houluh pup when they were all the way through. Luna yelped and nibbled her tail, it seemed to have taken a few strands of coarse fur when it had slammed, but she was fine, Jack made sure of it and all that. She didn’t want to have to give aid to her animal while they were in the Mansion, the Mansion was hard enough as it was.

Honestly, she wasn’t the biggest fan of the Mansion, but that was alright, they could find some good stuff there. She would much rather be in the mines, but… it wasn’t like she needed to do much else at the moment. Jack shrugged a little and shook her head, unsure of what was going to happen during the time they had at the moment. It was fine, they would be alright, she figured as they both looked down the long, sterile looking hallway. She wasn’t sure what was going to happen, but it would be alright, they had each other and that was all they needed. Luna whined a little and reached up to lick the woman’s hand, to which her head was rubbed for that for reassurance. She smiled, tongue lolling out, and then barked down the hallway, the sound echoing off of the metal and tile walls. This would be interesting, to say the least.

A folded up blueprint could be found on the floor nearby; only held down by a little golden coin.

Luna wasn't so sure about this place, she vaguely remembered being somewhere kind of like this at one time, and it frightened her a little. She whined and licked the woman's hand reassuringly and then strengthened her resolve a bit, she had to keep going for her sake it seemed. Jack smiled down at her a little and patted her on the head as they stared into the sterile environment. Things were going to be interesting, she knew, and she had to keep going if only for the items they might find along the way. Part of her wished Tok was there, but she didn't think she could handle two animals at a time at this point. Things were getting hard for her again, though she wasn't entirely sure why, but it was hard no matter what, and she knew that things would be fine in the long run if she just handled one right now.

After all they'd been through, which, admittedly wasn't a lot it seemed, Jack felt that Luna was pretty loyal to her. Nothing was going to spook her off, and so they set off down the long hallway, the little Houluh's legs shaking for a little bit as they went down the hall. Things were going to go well with time it seemed, and the longer they were in there, the less shaky the pup was, but still, Jack wanted them to find something good soon enough and all that. It wasn't worth it if they couldn't find anything, after all! She smiled a little and kept a hand on the pup for a little bit, making sure she knew that she was still there and everything, and then touched a nearby door. It was metal and seemed like it slid open like the main door this month, and she wondered what was on the other side of it.

Luna cowered a little behind her as she slid open the door. It was on tracks and moved on it's own when she pressed a button to the side of the door frame. Jack grinned a little down at the little pup and patted her on the head before pushing her way inside of the room to see what was going on. There were vials and canisters all over the place, filled with various liquids and looking a little... eerie, she figured. Chewing her lip, she wondered what she was going to do in this room, she didn't want to smell odd things in jars that she didn't know, who knew what that could do to her, in fact. Luna whimpered a little, this brought back bad memories, she wasn't sure what they were, her memories were a little fleeting sometimes, but she knew that this couldn't be good. She had to get out of here!

She wasn't going to leave the woman on her own though, who knew what could happen to her if she left her alone. Luna frowned a bit and followed the woman when she patted her leg, and she wondered what they were going to do in this room. Jack looked at some of the bubbling colanders and wondered what they were. They couldn't be too volatile, could they, being in plain view and all that. Chewing her lip, she reached for one of the smaller, lesser filled vials and wondered what it was. Bringing it a few inches from her nose, she sniffed it and found that it didn't have a smell, and it was mostly clear, like water. Maybe it was water, she really didn't know unless she tested it, and even then it was hard to imagine things just being something simple in the Mansion when it was like this.

Everything would work out alright, she just needed to test it with something that she knew. But what did she know? There was no way she could even trust some of these labels, and all that would be alright. She just didn't know what to do with it, and so she turned around and walked out of the room, much to the joy of the Houluh at this point, she didn't like the feel of that room, or the rest of the mansion in general, really, but that was fine, things would work out for the best for them. She was happy to be out of the room, and she headed for the front door, though the woman didn't follow her. Jack snapped her fingers and the pup grudgingly went over to her to follow along beside her to the next place they would look at for the moment, though she didn't know where that would be.

So, the festival of light, huh? Jack sighed and shook her head before readjusting her stocking cap on her head. She didn't know what to expect from the Mansion this month and all that, but what could she really do? She needed to get Snow some experience before they kept on training, and she knew this was the best way to do it. Figuring again that they would stay outside for now, she didn't know what to do at the moment. Maybe something would pop out at them and all that, but she wasn't sure that was going to happen. Smiling a little, she glanced up at the Mansion with a little shrug, it was going to be great, and it was all going to work out fine. Snow was on a leash by her side, she didn't fully trust the pup just yet and all that, but that was fine as well.

The outside of the Mansion sparkled and the sky overhead seemed like dawn even though it was midday. She could get used to this she figured as she smiled up at the constellations in the sky that she had never seen before, but had faint lines running through them to show their shapes. Jack shook her head a little and glanced down at Snow and wondered what was going to happen at the same time. Maybe things wouldn't turn out wrong, but it would be fine all the same she thought. Giving in to a little bit of frustration, she snorted and then took a few steps forward into the garden, where bioluminescent plants were planted and all that at the moment, and also invitingly glowing at her, as though trying to get her to go into the maze she saw in the garden. Perhaps it would be the best idea, but she didn't really know.

All she could do was smile a little and wondered what she was going to do with the plants at the moment, but that was something she could worry about later. Tugging the leash a little, Snow started to follow her as she walked along the pathway toward the garden, figuring the maze was the best idea at the moment and all that. She wished that things would work out for them in the long run, but she didn't know what to expect from the Mansion ever, just like always. It was the best, most consistent thing about the Mansion, it was never consistent. Grinning a little, she reached out to touch a leaf on one of the trees, smiling softer as it bent, pliable under her fingers. It was interesting and she never knew what to do about things at the moment, at least she had some idea that she would be safe enough inside of the garden.

Jack wandered into the little maze, well, it was probably a lot bigger than she thought right now, but she wasn't sure what to expect from something so closely configured with the Mansion right now. Snow was fine as well she knew, but that was going to be fine at the same time. All she could do was wonder what was going to happen right now, and the consequences of whatever actions she took. Nothing bad would happen, though she wasn't sure what she was going to find in the Mansion this month and all that. Giving her head a shake, she stepped onto the path in the maze, it was dark and shiny at the same time, gleaming under the strange sky as the black tiles glistened as though wet. She didn't know what was going to happen, and that was fine, as long as it didn't hurt her or Snow, who was still following, everything would be fine.

There was little that could be done with things right now she knew, but all she wanted to do was go through the maze a little bit. She let her ungloved hand, the one that didn't hold onto the leash on Snow, trace over some of the leaves at the moment and all that, wondering what she was going to get for now. It was going to be great, and as she plucked one leaf from the nearest tree, she saw the light fade from it when it disconnected from the branches. Well then, she wouldn't be doing that again, she knew that was going to be fine at the same time. Scratching the back of her head, she hoped she hadn't hurt the plant too badly at the moment, and hoped that she wasn't going to have bad luck in the Mansion this month too because of what she had done.
