They continued like that for an extra hour that day, Morgan calling in to the corporation to let them know that they were going to be a little late to work due to it. Not that it mattered, Morgan was the boss, after all. Waar was doing great, as soon as Morgan gave the whistled command, he'd take nearly flying pounce onto the nearest moving decoy and sink his claws in. Good, that was exactly what Morgan was hoping for! After all of this hard work, Waar was getting to where there was a lot of force behind his pounces, and he was hitting each target as he leaped on them. He learned how to use his wings to add a little force behind it, and how to keep his balance. Best of all, Waar could now perform the pounce excellently, even in the thorns because his skin was thick enough to avoid all damage from the thorns of the brier patch.

After the incident with the rogue plants, Morgan decided that it was time to get Waar (who was pretty rusty, they both agreed) out on the park grass again for more training. He didn't have a whole lot of options when it came to attacking with where they currently were in the process according to Morgan. Though he could take care of himself defensively and even heal some of his own wounds in his creepy zombie-dragon way, Waar wasn't really ready yet to take on any amount of danger. He was supposed to be Morgan's most trained protection companion after all.
The day was warm- almost too warm by the time two in the evening rolls around and the pair are standing on the usual spot that they had chosen so long ago. The grass was green and soft. A light breeze picked up, and Morgan couldn't be more thankful about it. Waar wasn't so strongly affected.
