Looking back at the Sarane and its child left him only a mild pity for what they could have achieved had they lived, but a larger part of him only felt fiercely glad that they are death or it might have been him and Dysis being used as their dinner, then turns his back on the death bodies, and heads in the direction he came from. Checking his own foot prints to make certain of it. He had for the most part, more trouble getting through that spiraling tunnel by going up, then when he had to go downwards while keeping the end part of the flashlight in his mouth. His arms and legs felt more tired then ever before, but he felt determined to get through this without accident. Resting only when his arms felt like they where going to fall off, and keeping track of Dysis position with the warmth she emits and the tickling of her antennae at his neck, making sure she stays on his shoulder, and not move towards his back, as that will make trying to rest for a moment impossible to do. Finally, when the light of his torch started to show the end of the tunnel above him, it still took a while to reach it, and then figure out how to best lift himself out of it. But when he did, he shuffled as far away from the hole as possible. Sitting down to lean against his mining cart, he finally felt like he could breath again, and compared to before, fresh air.

Turning his head slightly towards Dysis he felt his lips twitch upwards. ‘You’ve done very well Dysis.’ He decides to compliment her, she was certainly better behaved then Hades was. And he, for some reason, he felt proud of that for her. She could have either made the situation more difficult, or tried to cling on walls or flee had those Sarane back there actually been alive. In fact, shouldn’t he have been a little disturbed that all she saw them as was meat? Even the hatchling? As he did feel her at certain points lean towards the corpses when he came too close in order to see where the requested item was. “Trrr! Trrr! Trrrii?” He hears her say, and wonders when she will figure out that he can only really hear her when she uses the ribbon, and whatever she speaks out loud is actually rubbish in his ears? Ahh well, if she can’t figure it out when he talk out loud towards her today, then perhaps later on when she is more grown up in mentally. ‘Right then, I better start doing some actual mining before delivering this trinket.’ He decides, and gets up, opening the trunk, he places the handkerchief with the trinket inside it, and away from the bag of food just in case, then closes the trunk and takes the rope to head further back at the parts where the hatchling’s claw marking definitely showed it went back into another direction. He wants to be as far away from that hole as possible, just in case he might forget it is there and fall into it. The warmth that Dysis emits on his shoulder is pleasant and reassuring while they move further and further away from their original destination..
