Pachee had been the thing Flare had recommended before he'd left, and upon research, Aura had decided they wanted them. Pachee were just adorable, and so... friendly. So, they'd done enough research, and found some they could borrow if they acquired their own berries and offered pick of the litter. The berries had been another thing to investigate altogether, and so after dropping off their new garden pets, they found their way over to the shop they'd been directed to go. Upon arriving, however, they also immediately noticed that this place sold pachee as well. They stared in the window, considering, and then made their way inside. "Excuse me; I was looking to acquire some berries and pachee?" They called out. They didn't want to take up too much of his time; much as their interaction with Alura, they were used to business transactions being short as to not waste the shopkeeper's precious daylight.
The customers almost always seemed to catch Turner elbow-deep in potting soil. He turned around, using a towel to quickly remove the dirt and such off of his arm. "Hello there, berries and pachee you say?" He figured that they might as well look at the pachee first. "Pachee first, since they might take longer." He said, and then he walked towards where he kept them for the most part; females separated from the males of course. He was very careful with his lineages, after all. "I have developed several colors of males, and of course, I also have some of the rare females." He was the most proud of them, of course.
They followed him towards the pachee, and felt their heart stop as soon as they took in the sight of such adorable little creatures. The different colored males, with their pollinated tails, and the cute females with the barely visible forehead marking...Aura was in love upon seeing one of the large sets of eyes fix on them. They'd heard of them, after all, but had not seen one for themself until now. "Wow," they whispered. Immediately, they gravitated towards the lone charcoal black male, examining his silver spots and green accents. They saw the two tan twins and the white male, of course, but those colorations did not speak to them quite so much. "I'll definitely take him," they said, in a sort of quiet awe. They turned their attention, next, to the section of ladies- and looked between all of them. Eleven sets of purple eyes were fixed on them, and they tried to guess which one was meant to be their's.
Turner couldn't help but smile and be quite proud whenever the individual selected the male. "Good choice." He commented; the black pachee were certainly quite popular with the customers. Then they had moved to the females. There were a lot to choose from there; he had a particular one in mind, but didn't say anything. The customer was always right of course... After a moment he decides to point it out. "That female there; she is particularly sweet." He points to a particular pair of those bright purple eyes.
They knelt down in front of the one he indicated, and held out their hand for her to sniff. She didn't bother, instead just headbutting it immediately. Even the normally stoic ssashirk couldn't help but smile at that, immediately scratching behind her ears. "Sweet as honey," they agreed. It was rare they had an idea for a name so immediately, but it was perfect for her. They stood up, satisfied that there was a connection there enough to justify picking her over her...sisters? Probably likely they were related. "I do like her; I would like to take her home as well. As far as the berried, I was told to inquire about the ones to give as treats to these little ones before allowing them to pollinate? I would like three sets of whatever berries are useful for that purpose, if I may please." Aura was polite, even while staying efficient. They had no intention of trying to haggle down any price, either. These were worth every credit.
The shopkeeper smiled at the exchange, and then nodded. "I'll get them put in crates for you; and we'll also get those berries fixed right up for you. Three sets you said?" The shopkeeper picked up each pachee with a gentle but practiced manner, and then put them in pet carriers carefully. Afterwards, he moved over to the counter and placed both crates on it before moving over to the berries. He deposits three of each of the pachee-related berries in a paper bag. After that, he moved up to the counter and placed this next to the crates; all of it would be easy to carry. "If this is all for you today, your total comes out to Seven hundred and seventy-five credits." He said, kindly.
This was much easier than their herbologist's run, but then again, they weren't leaving this place with what was- practically- its own kennel full of critters. This time, it was just the new kittens, and a sack of berries. No leashes to juggle. They rapidly counted out the credits they needed, passing it over to Turner with a smile. "There you are. Thank you very much for everything; I'll take good care of them. I have a feeling I'll probably have to come back for more berries next month, perhaps, so I'll let you know how these little ones are doing if I do." They meant that; Aura knew that despite it being a business, Turner seemed the type to care deeply about the creatures that he sold. He would want to know that they were being treated well. Besides, they had the perfect spot picked out for the pachee; they were creating their own little home, with a backyard garden...
Turner accepts the credits and then waves at the customer. "Thank you very much- good luck with them!" He meant it too, of course. He was proud of his stock and knew that it would serve them well. He always enjoyed seeing folks with gardens get into breeding pachee. It helped him out in the long run, as well. He was sure that this customer would take good care of them.
