Renathan had been eagerly awaiting the new month after his last orbaru breeding; he was always coming up with new pairs, but this one was one that he had never considered until someone had come to pick them up last month. Both offspring were horridly adorable, and he'd received one very pale nice male from them already. He really needed to get more pale males into his group; so he decided finally that they were worth working on this month for certain. Renathan made sure to get the two rounded up; Nyaa and Liliana were kept in seperate areas completely, but they had already bred before now, so Renathan was going to have to be careful with them to keep them from breeding too early. That would be a mess; the critters needed a lot of time together to produce the best of orbaru offspring. Renathan of course did know that; he'd been breeding orbaru for a long time now. He had one orbaru under each arm; carried in carriers of course. That was how he tended to keep the orbaru on the way to the breeding center; it kept them safe and kept them from breeding prematurely. Renathan was sure to think of everything.

Orbaru breeding was just a huge timesink, but Renathan was pleased with the outcomes that he had managed to get, despite all of the people being in the breeding center all the time and keeping him from being able to get into a room at any kind of a normal time period that would be acceptable. Still, Renathan loved his little hobby enough to keep doing it despite the entire issue, and he considered himself lucky that he was even able to do this at all. Renathan was pleased with this breeding pair of course, but he wasn't really expecting anything in specificity. Any male would be okay, in Renathan's humble opinion; he only needed a pale male for future breedings, and of course he didn't want to tire Mochi out breeding even though he is super pretty... Two males could easily take up the breeding fatigue much better than one, that was quite true. Renathan was sure that the tiny creatures would have to be watched carefully, today, to keep them from breeding prematurely though. If it weren't for how much he really liked Mochi, Renathan would not breed a pair again so quickly, since they had that issue sometimes...

Nyaa was a rather pretty male, but Renathan had been disappointed with him when he had received him at first. When he had ordered the creature, he had been hoping for a very siamese-like male. However, the creature had been made more meerkat like (whatever that was) for some reason, and the markings were really stark and without blurring. He was a pretty pale cream, however, and with bright blue eyes that Renathan was surprised to see for sure. His bright blue eyes had passed down to Mochi, but his bright cherry tail orb had not. That tail orb was gorgeous to Renathan, he hoped that the baby would have that pretty cherry tail color. Don't get Renathan wrong, he loved the pale blue of Mochi's cute tail orb, but he hadn't really been expecting it in the slightest. Liliana was definitely one of Renathan's prettiest females; but he hoped that the baby wouldn't look too much like her. Mochi was a spitting image of her and that was surprising but good! He actually liked Mochi's spots way better, and his eyes were prettier in Renathan's opinion. Still, she had a better quality of fur than Mochi had for sure, and Renathan hoped that she would pass that this go around.

Renathan was trying to keep his mind off of his work, as he walked to the breeding center. It had been tough, recently, and it was only going to get tougher. People were already trying to order jewelry for their loved ones in advance for the holidays, and Renathan was sure that it was only going to get more busy from here. There was so much to be done and Renathan was shocked at it; he hadn't really had this job last year so he hadn't expected it. Pethian holidays were strange, in all honesty, and he didn't really know much about them before now. Renathan would have ran his hand over the top of his head as a nervous tick if he didn't have his arms full of orbaru. Thankfully, both of them hadn't noticed eachother yet. He'd plugged up the holes on the sides a bit with non-see-through mesh so that they could still breathe, but he wanted to make sure that they wouldn't jump around before he got them sat down. The breeding center loomed ahead, and Renathan put his hand-pad on the doorknob as he had done many times before... Hopefully today would go as well as possible.

Liliana had been a bit of a surprise, when Renathan had first laid eyes on her. Neither of her parents had leopard spots, which made Renathan feel like whoever had bred her (he had loaned out his orbaru a few times in the past) had used some kind of potion on either the parents or her. However, he could tell that she was Lazare's, she had the same russet and black marking colors as Lazare did. The orange and black was unmistakable, for sure. But where had all that white come from, huh? Renathan had been glad to get a hold of her and her brother Laharu, Renathan really enjoyed all of the babies that Lazare had managed to make, and his whole lineage was something that Renathan was proud of. It would have been a shame! However, Liliana was definitely not Renathan's absolute favorite of all of Lazare's kids, even though she was one of Renathan's favorite females in general. He hoped that she would mind today; because sometimes Liliana had a bit of a strange personality streak; and she wasn't too happy today yet. Renathan was sure that she would be much happier once she found out why she was here, and who was here with her.

Liliana actually did not, at all, like to be removed from her son. Perhaps because she had been able to raise him, she was incredibly attached to her spitting image of a son; no female was worth him, she seemed to feel, and she constantly kept the females away from him. Renathan knew that he would have to be separated from her in order to breed due to it, because she would never allow another orbaru to play with him much. It was kind of a sad situation, and Renathan thought about separating the two of them, as he had with some of his other related orbaru due to personality issues (S'more and Cinnabon were the most surprising ones for Renathan to have to separate honestly), but the mother and son were both very attached to one another and Mochi didn't seem too put off by his mother's overprotective actions... He was perhaps a little strange to the other orbaru anyway, since his fur was unlike any other silky that Renathan had ever seen. It was really wavey, curled, and kinked up, with a neat texture. Very different, for sure; but where had it come from? Nyaa had regular fur and all!

Sometimes, genetics did weird things that didn't really make a lick of sense. Renathan figured that it would be the case this go around too; but he was secretly hoping for some of Liliana's fur quality instead of Mochi's. Still, Mochi was really growing on him as one of his favorites, even though he hadn't been so happy with them at first. Renathan opened the door rather quickly, and was nearly blinded by the light inside. He'd come in the earliest he could this morning; setting out of the farm before the sun even began rising at all. He wanted to see if he could beat the crowd; but whenever he stepped in this morning since it was still pretty dark outside, Renathan was blinded by the bright lights that were always there. He blinked, squinting, and rubbed his eyes beneath the mask with some difficulty, and then finally they began to see accurately again. "Wow, bright lights, huh?" Renathan said, shaking his head. As soon as his sight adjusted, Renathan saw one of the helpers at the desk, staring at him wide eyed. 'Uh, how did you get in here, sir?' They asked. Uh-oh, Renathan thought. Too early?

Put on the spot, Renathan felt his mouth dry out. He hadn't exactly been himself lately, and he wasn't really feeling like doing all of this social stuff, not really. "I uh, just walked into the door. It was unlocked- um, do I need to go back outside and come back later? When is a good time to come back?" He asked, super fast, a bit confused. "I didn't mean to cause any trouble." He said, truthfully, looking a bit flabbergasted even without being able to see his face under the mask. Thank goodness for the mask! Renathan already was beginning to back out of the door when the breeding center helper sighed. 'No no, you're fine. We open in thirty minutes, but you can sit down and wait, and maybe be first in line? No promises, though.' She said, quietly. Renathan had hoped that it would be open now, in fact he thought that it indeed was at some point ago, but he was glad with that. "Oh thank you." He said, feeling the anxiety fall out of him. Since when was he like this? Had the pit really done this to him, or was it something else?

Renathan still looked like a deer in the headlights, but he scooted across the room quickly enough, sitting down in a chair. He didn't want to bother the poor attendant while he waited, since they were kind enough to let him stay even though they weren't open. Renathan sat both of his orbaru containers in the floor, and faced them toward one another so that the orbaru could see each other through the grates that made up the front of them to function as doors that were lockable by himself. Immediately, two pairs of blue eyes filled with remembering; hey, these two knew each other already, and had even managed to breed before; they definitely recognized one another. Liliana's sapphire colored ones blinked, twice, and immediately Nyaa was booping his greeting at her. Yeah... These two weren't going to take very long to do this at all. Renathan sighed with relief that they were at least going to have to wait thirty minutes to be able to get at one another, he was really lucky in all honesty. He was going to have a hard time getting them to wait a proper amount of time and play quite a bit, wasn't he?

Renathan was struggling to find time to do much of anything with his new job; and today was going to suck. He was going to be there much later than he had expected. He had planned to come here early so that he could get in at the right time this morning, but thanks to this thirty minute wait thing, Renathan was going to be having issues getting in this morning. Because after this, however long that it did wind up taking and all, Renathan was going to have to rush out to get these two back to the orbaru farm before actually going in to work; and he was planning on having a bite to eat first... Ah well, he was just going to have to be flexible and skip his meal today. Alternatively, he could go home and come back on his break, but Renathan had done this today to try to avoid crowd and try to get away from the whole wasting his break here thing. That hadn't been good the last few times he had done it. Thankfully, from watching the two making googoo eyes at one another; they were at least going to be pretty quick today...

The breeding center had been a bit annoying since it had opened up in all honesty. The huge amounts of people and the fact that they had just managed to get the show on the road literally a week after Renathan's difficulty in the pit... Yeah, he hadn't exactly been able to associate the breeding center itself with anything particularly good, save for the pretty offspring he'd managed to get from his pairs. He was really hoping to get Rafet in this month, in fact... Renathan wasn't really capable of having a single train of thought right now it would seem; he was still really tired and didn't feel like he had slept well at all. Renathan sighed quietly, watching as the two at his feet played around. Rafet was easily one of his favorite orbaru; she'd be great this month he was sure. But he needed to get these two in here first, he figured that it would be appropriate to do so anyway. The breeding center was a place of anxiety for Renathan right now, and he had a ton of stuff to do that wasn't really this... Still, baby orbaru were worth it, right? He believed so anyway.

Sooner or later, Renathan would have entirely too many orbaru to really deal with them; and he'd have to build yet another building onto the technically two he already had built together. Renathan was not really looking forward to that; properties costed about an arm and a leg; but he refused to house them in a kennel. If he had his way, none of his creatures would ever be in the kennel again. He wasn't huge on how the kennels operated, and it was much easier to take care of all of his critters when they were in one spot and all. The two orbaru played with one another through the grates; or rather, Nyaa tried to put his paw through, and Liliana stared at him and they booped back and forth. Liliana was quite the delicate creature, it would seem; but Renathan had seen her play quite roughly before. It was all a farce, or at least in orbaru it probably technically wasn't... However, Renathan was sure that the creature was purposefully putting off playing until some time in the future perhaps. Did she have a reason? Did orbaru do anything with any amount of forethought? Renathan thought so, actually.

Of course it was Renathan that had seen Lazare purposefully do things to aggravate Renathan in order to get things from him or attention that was due the other orbies. Renathan also caught several of his orbaru climbing up onto high things so that they could jump onto other orbaru; so that had to mean a bit of forethought, right? Especially for a creature that was herbivorous by nature; and had no reason to know how or why to jump on something else like that. Renathan had to think about it quite a bit, actually, and had deduced that they could at least make very easy, very quick plans, with maybe one or two steps. Nothing complicated, but it was enough that Renathan knew that they weren't completely and purely creatures of instinct only. They were, supposedly, clever enough to train after all! Renathan could certainly believe that with some of his orbaru, though others wouldn't take to training near as well. He was sure that Lazare could be trained, and of course he was sure that Rafet had at least the beginnings of training-ability in her breeding pool...
So it made sense, but why would Liliana be waiting to play until later?

Renathan puzzled on that for a little bit, head tilted and eyes lowered, curious. Some of the orbaru were a lot more strange than others, and did some rather odd actions that Renathan couldn't exactly place. Liliana was one of those. Sure, Lazare liked all of his children, but he didn't seem to be attached to any of them in particular. Renathan had moved his daughters, sons, and grandkids all over the home in some instances and Lazare was happy to see them again when they were brought back, but he wasn't really distressed when they were gone for sure. "What makes you different..." Renathan mumbled, staring down at the sapphire-colored eyes of the pale spotty female. "You are really attached to your son, but even Nyaa here isn't really..." Renathan had tested that of course too, because he was a curious person and it was not at all difficult to do. "Aren't you strange, Liliana?" Renathan asked curiously. Of course neither orbaru was paying him any mind, they were all interested in eachother. He could tell that they were going to breed pretty quickly whenever they got into the room. Goodness, he was going to have to worry about that.
